The smell of sweets was apparent in the air as the bubbly, delicious, feeling, of the warm treats warmed the ponies bellies as they ate them.
“This is delicious” - Said a tangerine eyed filly, who was eating, what else, a treat that was apple tasted. - “But mah granny makes ‘em better.”
One with a pink coat just rolled her eyes and burst out into giggles, she was having a mint one and the delicious coating was mixing up with her muzzle to form a green coating around her original muzzle coating. She looked slightly like an alien, which made the other ones giggle.
“Your granny, Granny Smith always makes the best candies out of apples! It’s uncanny! But you got to admit, this treats we’re having, they’re pretty great”
“Huh huh” - Murmured in approval a Silver pony with blue glasses sitting on the third part of the triangular table. So they were split. - “Truthfully Diamond Tiara, I must thank you for the invitation for the grand premiere of the bakery section of Barnyard Bargains. I wasn’t expecting this from you.
Silver Spoon, the name of the pony, had her glasses flash as she sat down on her haunches and kept on with her treat, one with lots and lots of chocolate. Politeness was the pretense of a good pony, that was the family motto, it could take you places nothing else could. Plus she liked Tiara, they were friends.
Another set of giggles. - “Don’t act so much like a grown up, dummy! Of course I’d invite you, you’re my best friend! And of course I’d invite you Apple Bloom” - She looked at the other pony on the table. - “Your apples provide the ingredients! You are like a super important part of the receipt”
“Ah” - Truthfully it was her big sis, Applejack that dealt with most of the business of the farm, Sweet Apple Acres, but she pretended to understand by nodding and making herself known. - “Our Apples sure are delicious ah thing this will be a lasting partnership!” - Apple Bloom bit into her apple flavored treat again, savoring it again. In fact it wasn’t as great as the one her Granny made, but it was still pretty delicious. - “And thanks for the invitation Diamond!” - She said after swallowing, smiling and showing some strings of the apple candy still in her teeth, she dimished her smile, embarrassed, and took a napkin to her teeth.
The other two only giggled.
After swallowing their respective meals the other two fillies, Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara started chit-chatting, about this and that, normal fillies conversations, colts they found cute, you like that one, you don’t like that one, ewww, no you do, you do too, that sorta stuff. To Apple Bloom, who had never been near them, she found it surprisingly...normal. Like she was expecting the two other fillies to concun evil plans, but no, it was just silly fillies talking, like her and her friends.
Finally she had to interrupt the conversation for a very important reason.
“Ya know I was thinking…” - The sweet smell of candy and bakeries still in the air, making their mouth water, even if they had had so much candy their bellies were full, the mess they had left at the table where they had spilt. - “A’m starting to feel really sleepy, want to head to the lake and take a swim?”
Silver Spoon shook her head, she was the responsible one after all. - “With how much we had to eat, and we had a considerable lot considering our body weight, which I’d estimate to be…” - A piercing gaze from Diamond Tiara, and she jumped head. - “I just think it’s best if we wait a little bit before heading into the lake, but sure I’m ready for a swim”
Diamond Tiara stared at her two friends. - “So...Silver Spoon doesn’t want to, so, let’s keep the conversation, Apple Bloom, got any special somepony?”
Thrust into the middle of the conversation like that, with no prompt, she couldn’t help but turn red and splatter that no, she had never thought about it, though the other two teased her mercilessly, they didn’t believe her, of course.
“Is it Feather? Rumble? Oh Oh, is it Pip?”
Silver Spoon’s Glasses flashed again.
“You’re forgetting the possibility that she likes a filly, I mean, the possibility is there, small as it may be.”
At those words Apple Bloom got very red, and the two other fillies looking at her stopped, their mouths agasp..
“Wait, really? I didn’t see you as a…”
“Ya know…”
“No, no, it’s…”
“Nevermind, let’s keep.
Once Silver had deemed enough time had passed the three of them stepped back from the sound of confections being made to focus on the lake. It was not too far of a ride. There was a sweet breeze going around and the smell of sweets was replaced by the smell of fresh grass They ran, freely, not worrying themselves about anything, in direction of the lake.
“Now don’t go staring at my butt” - Diamond Tiara teased as she jumped into the water and dived, re emerging seconds later, her mane pushed all down. She had previously pulled down the tiara into the sand near the lake and was now waiting for them.
“C’mon, slowpokes.”
“I do not know if It’s such a smart idea to jump, maybe I’ll slowly step in an…” - But Silver’s speech was interrupted for Diamond had sneaked up on her through the water and thrown water at her, wetting her through and through.
“Gah! DIAMOND!” - But it was all for naught as Apple Bloom and Diamond both laughed, once she cleaned the water of her glasses, Silver too could see the humor in the situation and she joined in the giggling.
“Alright here goes!” - Apple Bloom jumped too, not afraid to get wet, and Silver tried to avoid the wave that was coming from the impact, but failed spectacularly at that. Already wet twice, she saw no point in doing anything more than jumping after them, after taking of her glasses of course.
“Ready or not, I am going to get’cha!
