Chapters Flurry's Heart POV
I was in the land of dreams until it was interrupted by morning rays of the sun.
"Uh come on Auntie, just a few more minutes" I said tiredly while trying to shield myself from the blinding light.
I slowly took the covers off just enough for me to see the clock. Which said 7:30, uh why did it have to be so early, like why couldn't Auntie hold off raising the sun for just 30 more minutes. That's when I heard a knock at my door.
"Honey are you awake" I heard my mom say.
"Yeah I am Mom, unfortunately" I said while pulling the cover back over my head and closing my eyes to catch a few more z's.
"Well you better get ready cause we leave in two hours to go to Canterlot to see your Aunts and have a nice vacation in case you forgot, oh and when your done come join us down stairs, Shining made breakfast" she said before walking off.
My eyes snapped open in realization and quickly got up to get ready for the day. I headed over to the bathroom to get ready for the day by starting of with a quick shower to freshen up. I turned on the shower to a nice warm temperature. I removed my nightgown and undergarments and grabbed a washcloth before stepping into the shower. I began to wet my hair letting the water run down by body, which I got to say I got from my mother. I began to scrub soap in my hair and rinsing it out by tipping back a little bit and moving my hair out of my face. I then quickly began to wash my face with the washcloth. Which I then put my strawberry scented body wash on it and began to wash my body. As I rinsed off the soap I moaned in pleasure as the water was getting rid of the morning aches I was feeling. After I was done rinsing off I stepped out of the shower and briefly dried off and wrapped a towel around my body and another one for my hair and then headed for the sink to brush my teeth.
After I was down freshening up I stepped out in my room still in my towel and headed to my closet and pulled out a matching pair of light pink panties and bra and put them on.
"Now what to wear" I said to myself. I pulled out a cute little sun dress and held it in front of my body. After a while I shook my head in disagreement. I put it back and pulled out a little white tank top and short shorts, "Nah to showy". I put those back and then I pulled out a nice
I made my way down stairs, which my Dad probably heard me coming, because he greeted me as I entered the dining room.
"Hey honey finally you decide to join us" Shining said with a little smirk "You remind me of your mother when she was younger, always taking forever to get ready in the morning"
"Hey give her some slack Shining she is going to Canterlot, where she has not been to in a while and wants to look her best for it" said Cadence
"Thanks mom" I said
"No problem honey, and by the way Shining half of the time when I was taking forever to get ready in the morning wasn't always for me, it was for you."
"Oh come on honey you know you didn't have to do that, cause your always beautiful in my eyes" Shining said
"Aww Shining I love you"
"Love you too" said Shining while they shared a kiss
"Come on not at the table and where is my food" I said slightly annoyed
Cadence let out a heartily laugh and said "Sorry and here is your breakfast". Which consisted of scrambled eggs, hay bacon and toast. With that we began to finish or for me start eating my breakfast with some occasional small talk. After that we headed to our rooms to collect our rooms to gather our luggage by the front door so it would be easier and faster to load in the carriage that was going to arrive soon. When I mad my descent from the stairs with my last bag I noticed that there was another body down there which was the lieutenant of our army, Flash Sentry, Well this could not be good. When I reached the bottom of the stairs my mother turned to me.
"Honey you know Flash and well your father and I were talking and with the crime increase in Canterlot we want you to have a bodygurad with you at all times while you are exploring the city." said Cadence
"Come on Mom you know I can handle myself" I said
"I know but just for precaution ok?" She said
"Ok." I said while crossing my arms
"Thank you and now put your last bag with the others" She said as I went over and put it with the rest
After 10 minutes the carriage finally arrived and we put the luggage on top and began to pile in the carriage and I was giddy with excitement. Just one more day and we will be there.
Astral's POV

"NO" I screamed and jolted up right breathing very heavily and scanning the scenery around me.
After I realized I was in my room I threw both of my legs over the side of the bed and rubbed both of my eyes, relieving the tiredness from them.
Uh why did it have to be that dream again. I thought I would have moved past it by now, but yet again I guessed wrong. I slowly rose from my bed and headed to my closet to put on a plain white shirt and blue jeans. After I was dressed I preceded down stairs, but stopped at my mom's room and looked at the picture of her that I hung on her door and kissed it, "Good morning Mom" I just liked to pretend that she is still alive and part of my life to help me smile each day.
When I reached the kitchen I just made a regular bowl of Golden horseshoes cereal, and while eating it watch some TV for some entertainment in the meantime. Though before I could sit down I saw a white piece of paper that seemed to be shoved under my doorway. My curiosity got the best of me so I picked it up and saw that it was a letter
Dear Astral Spark I hope I can expect your audience at my house today and I will make it worth your time. I have two jobs that I hope I can trust you with.

Well I guess I could stop by to see what he wants, because if he does keep his word about it being worth my while, then I can probably pay for rent for the next few months if he isn't lying.
After I finished my breakfast I went and put on my casual/work clothes that consist of a black scarf, black hoodie, and blue jeans and headed out the door to head to Richy Dollar's house. After a good 3 block walk I reached his mansion that has a 10 ft wall surrounding the perimeter, has three stories, and has a u driveway.
BUZZZ
"Hello sir how may I help you" he said though he sounded like a very old butler.
"Um..I'am Astral Spark and I'am here for the jobs that Mr.Dollar called me in for", I said
With that the gate opened and let me in and I preceded to walk to the main entrance. When I reached the front steps and knocked I was greeted by a very high class old man, which was no doubt the man that answered the com.
"Right this way sir Master Rich is in his study waiting for you, so if you please follow me", he said in a calm voice
I did exactly that, though when I look around the house as he lead me I noticed that it the mansion looks bigger on the inside with its long corridors and many open space though it could be my imagination. As we reached the study (which looked more like a library) he let me in and closed the door softly behind me. I began to wonder around the study to look for Richy. Though it was easier than expected when I saw him sitting on a nice furnished chair with tea on his table next to him right around the corner.
"Come we have much to discuss" He said as he gestured for me to take a seat. As I sat down he offered me a drink which I declined.
"Ok, then Astral we will get right down to business. I will discuss the first job with you now and I will go in farther detail with the other one later" Richy said. I simply nodded my head.
"Ok ,well recently I have received knowledge that my convoy that is filled with jewels did not arrive last night. So to put it simply I want you to track them down and retrieve my jewels from the convoy." He said
"Ok then, easy enough, but do you have the map layout of path that the convoy made" I said and I really needed one so I can see which areas are most vulnerable for attack
"Um.....OH yeah I do hold on a second" he said as he went back in his study office for a few seconds and returned just as fast.
"Here hopes that this helps" he said as he handed me a rolled up map.
As I unrolled the map I begin to trace the convoy's steps which started at Fillydelphia and its way to Ghastly Gorges, then Snake Valley, and finally Canterlot with some plains in-between. If I was in their shoes I would attack the convoy in Snake Valley, mostly because of the high ground advantage plus with all the snake hole that are scattered across the Valley. There are just too many ways to attack from so my best bet is to head there and try to find some leads to the missing jewels.
"Ok Rich I'am going to head out to retrieve your jewels and I won't return with out them" I said as I turned to leave
"Ok then" I heard him say as I closed the door behind me. May the hunt begin.

Astral's POV
I am on my way over to Fillydelphia by train to start tracking the convoy which should take a good 3 hours to get there so I should eventually reach there by early evening. Which is good for me since it will be dark out, so I can move fast and I will have the darkness of the night to cover my approach. Which is always nice because you don't have to worry too much about having anything spotting you that wants to kill you and that's if you don't count the Timberwolves, Manticores, Sand worms, and Hydra.......yeah nothing to worry about. Though when I do run into thiefs, I don't know exactly what to do, but if anything I will just wing it and figure it out when I come to it. I am one of those people that do a job and ask questions later, like what can I say it's good for business.
On my way there It seemed like the perfect time to get some shut eye during the trip to Fillydelphia, because the people that i'am tracking will be stopping and resting when it hits nightfall. While I will be still moving during the night, and this night will be their last.
3 hours later...
"Arriving at Fillydelphia Station", a male voice said over the loud speaker
"Uhh" I groaned, after being rudely awakened by the conductor's voice
I slowly make my way off the train
*sigh*
*Ok, first things first let's see where the starting destination of the convoy is *, I thought as I rubbed the tiredness from my eyes
I pull out the map that Richy Dollar gave me and began to scan over it, Ok, so it started at Filly Union that held Dollar's valuables which is located in the middle of the small city. With that in mind I decided to start at Filly Union and go from there, because it better to start at the beginning than to assume that the convoy is at a curtain location and completely pass the convoy. Which now that I think about it, that would suck. *Sigh* Ok let's just go to the starting location
As I started to walk toward Filly Union using the sidewalks, I really took in the beauty of the city around me with the vibrant colors and how lively the city is and how nice the people are here. I see everyone being nice to each other like greeting each other and just casually talking to each other and If I could I would move here because from what I see right now it seems like a paradise. Compared to Canterlot this place looks like heaven, like there are isn't some snobby noble ridiculing commoners for no fucking reason and TREATING THEM LESS THAN TRASH!
"AHH", I yelled in anger
I subconsciously punched a build that was the closest to me that left a huge hole in the building.
After I released that bit of anger I slowly look up and see everyone looking at me in fear, mothers hiding their children, men that look like they are ready to fight at moments notice, and a police man with their hand on their gun. I looked down at my hand and then I realized what I did. My anger got the best of me again, I clenched my fist
"I'am sorry", I softly said and ran off
Once I was out of proximity I went into a alley way so I can recollect myself. *Uhh, I have to control my anger, I can't let it get the best of me * I thought. Just then I notice my hand starting to bleed "Shit" I said to myself, I rip a piece of my T-shirt off and wrap it around my hand and slowly gets up and shakes my head a little bit. Ok back at the task at hand.
It took me a good few minutes but I eventually found Filly Union. Once I was there I just did a quick look around checking out the bank a little bit. After a while I took out the map again to see where the convoy went from there and it looked like that it headed toward the edge of the city in the direction of Ghastly Gorge and that is my next destination
Two hours later it became almost pitch black at this time and during that time I have covered a lot of ground. Which is equaled to a full day of travelling by carriage and I was a little aways from Ghastly gorge by now. When I neared Ghastly Gorge I started to notice carriage track on the ground. That's when I decided to start to slow down and be more cautious than I have been. I was a little ways off the main road so I don't cause much attention or to get spotted easily. Though while I was making my way through the vegetation I noticed that there was revene up ahead. As I slowly approached the edge and looked down I could that it was a least a 200 or more foot drop with a 50 yard gap , then when I looked up I noticed a slight glow in the tree line. I subconsciously grinned "I found you", I chuckled darkly. Then I wondered how they got across the revene since the gap was huge and the closest way around it was about 10 miles down each way, but then it clicked, magic users. Mm, this is going to be more fun than I thought it would be.
However, before I could do anything I had to get across the revene and what I was about to do was beyond stupid. I pulled out my katana Murasame and went a few meter and faced the direction I came from and just went on a full on sprint toward the revene. When I reached the edge I jumped. I was gliding through the air and when I approached the side of the revene I embedded my katana into the rock, in which I almost lost my grip from the sudden stop. Once I was there I started to climb up by finding a place to hold on to while I took out my katana and jabbed it in the rock a little above me. I rinsed and repeated this till I got to the top. When I got there I peeked over the edge, as I heard voices in the distance that I couldn't make out. I pulled myself and sneaked my way up to their camp using the shadows that the fire was making to my advantage.
"You two almost got all of us killed" ,One guy said calmly as he had his arms crossed and eyes closed
"Hey, It wasn't my fault that I couldn't see, because if you hadn't noticed it's fucking dark outside" ,Another guy yelled
"Well, if you listened to me before when I told you we should stop, we wouldn't be in this situation"
"Well why don't I come over there and stick my foot up your a-"
"WILL YOU IDIOTS SHUT UP, you two are fighting like children, we still have the valuables and that's all that matters", a third guy said
"*sighs* Fine, but when this is done I am going to teach you a lesson" ,The second guy said
"Ha you wish" The first guy says with a smirk and turns toward the third guy "Anyway Dominic, where are Grey and Rade?"
"They went to get some wood, as well as scouting the area a little" replies Dominic
"If you say so"
I was sitting up in a tree listening to their conversation. So from what I can tell there are five of them all together which I can easily take care of, but before I deal with those three I want to find those other two guys that they were talking about. I jump tree to tree as I scouted the area for those other two that were apparently getting wood. When I finally came across them they were sitting by the river side from what it looks like getting a drink.
"Come on Grey we need to head back now, they must be wondering where we are" Rade said
"Then go back I'll catch up to you in a little bit, because my throat is as dry as a desert man, it's been about 16 hours since I last had a drink so lay off." , Grey replied
"If you say so Grey" Rade said as he started to walk back to the camp
I grinned this couldn't be any better, his friend unknowingly left him for dead. This is my chance to strike. I jumped down from the tree and pulled my katana out of it's holster and made my way toward him. As I was nearing him I stepped on a branch that snapped under the pressure of my foot, which gave my presence away.
Grey slowly turned in my direction "Rade I told that I you could g-" his eyes widened when he took sight of me. Sadly that was all he had time to do,
*SHING *
A clean cut to the throat
"GAH CHU" grey said as the blood began to pour out of his throat and holding his hand to his throat in a desperate attempt to stop the blood flow, but it was useless as his squirming body became lifeless.
One down four to go
*POV 3rd person *
5 minutes pass...
"Come on where is Grey he should back already" Rade says
"Just leave him be, he will come back when he comes back so just relax" Dominic replies as he drinks from his water bottle
Rade starts walking towards the woods "Now what, I am going to drag his ass ba-" he gets cut off and he stops moving
Dominic looks up at him "Rade you ok?" he asks questioningly
Rade than falls back to revel a deep slash across his chest and Astral that is standing in a pose with his sword ready to fight
"RADE!!" Dominic screamed and growled "LIGHT, COLE LETS KILL THIS BASTARD" Light gets his magic ready and Cole ready's his sword
Astral is just sitting there with calm expression with empty eyes with his sword ready and calmly said "Come"
Cole charged him "YOU COCKY BASTARD" He yelled as he slashed down on Astral only for Astral to dodge and giving Cole a slash of his own. Cole was wide eyed as he stumbled forward dropping his sword in the process and collapsing and blood pouring out of his chest . The next thing Astral heard was light screaming at him in anger.
"YOU BASTARD, ICE NEEDLES "
Astral turned toward him with a blank expression and charged him with inhuman speeds.
"DIE" yelled Light as he fired off Ice Needles
Astral sidestepped each and every one as they flew past him and embedded themselves in the trees. Astral arrived right in front of Light that had a fearful expression on his face
"Eliminate" Astral said darkly as he slashed his sword and cut Light's head clean off, the blood then started to spray out of the opening as his body fell to the ground.
Dominic just witnessed his friends just get straight up murdered, he was pissed, he tightened his grip on his sword and said, "I will kill you"
Astral turned to Dominic and sprinted at him while Dominic readied himself. As Astral got close enough Dominic took a swing at Astral and he dodged the sword letting it glide over him. Which Astral took a swing to Dominic's side, but Dominic recovered from his first swing and blocked the fatal blow. Astral than backed off a little bit and took a swing at Dominic's chest. Dominic quickly reacted and blocked it with his sword, but not fully as Astral's sword left a little cut on Dominic's finger that Astral inflicted on him when they clashed swords. Astral then stands back
"Mission accomplished" ,Astral said
Dominic looked angry "What the Hell are you talking abo-" He was interrupted as he felt immense pain on his right arm. When he looked down and saw black markings going up his arm.
"NO NO Please, AHHHH" Dominic dropped his sword as he fell to the ground as blood started to come out of his eyes and mouth. He was shaking on the ground choking on his own blood. This went on for a minute till he died.
*Astral's POV *
*Sighs* "Finally it's over" I said, as I looked at the dead bodies around me.
I looked over at the Convoy and thought that it was a good time to bring it back so I can get paid and see what my second job is.
*The Next Day at Noon*
*RING *
"Who's there" said a elderly voice
"It's me Astral I completed a job for Richy Dollar" I said casually
"Ah Mr.Astral yes do come in" He said
*BZZZ *
The gates slowly opened up for me as I then drove the carriage up Dollar's Drive way. When I reached his front porch, he was waiting for me with a smile
"HA ha, Astral my boy I knew you wouldn't disappoint" Dollar said joyfully as he looked at all his stolen gold and valuables and handed me my 50,000 bits
"Umm.. Your welcome I guess" I said awkwardly as I took the bag of bits
Dollar took his eyes off his gold for a second "Well, there will be enough time to celebrate later, but come we must discuss your next job" gesturing me to follow him. Once we were in his office he turned all serious.
"Now what I am about to offer you is going to be the most dangerous mission you could ever take and if you mess up even a little bit, it will cost you your life" He said with a serious expression "It's so dangerous that I am willingly going to give you 5 million bits for this job"
My eyes opened in shock, WHAT, 5 million, what the hell could be so dangerous that he offers me 5 million bits.
"Ok....What is it" I asked cautiously
Dollar takes a deep breath," I want you to kill Flurry Heart"

Astral's POV
"Here you go Astral all 1000 bits", said Prince Blueblood
"Also hope that you can make good use of MY money"
"Sure Blueblood", I said with a forced smile
You have no idea how many times that I worked for this ass, that I had to force myself from personally beating this guy half to death. Though out of all the people I have worked for he isn't the worst person, and believe me when I say I have seen far worse.Though it's just more of the fact that he is snobbish and thinks that everyone below him is worthless that makes me hate him.
" That's Prince Blueblood to you" ,said Blueblood
"Ok, fine, Prince Blueblood I will", I said with a roll of my eyes
Blueblood narrowed his eyes at me, but realized that is as far as he was going to push the subject so he just motioned for me to leave. That was enough for me to leave, because personally I don't want to stay here any longer than I have to. So I head out of his office and head to the main entrance and now that I have a chance to look around Blueblood does have a nice house, but there are just so many photos of him everywhere. Probably to remind him that he is "SO" amazing, huh typical.
As I finally made my way out I decided I could use a few drinks to get rid of some of the stress that I had these past few days. So I headed down the sidewalks of Canterlot to the closest pub called "Hot Bird" (Real Bar in NY). Thankfully not as busy as I thought so I made my way over the the counter to take a sear at one of the stool. As I pulled out the stool I began to think about my past and what lead me to this point. First of all my name is Astral Spark a Pegasus and I have a Black mane and grayish coat. My childhood was not exactly a great one. I grew up without a father so my mother single headed raised me after Dad left, though I was to young to understand why he left and it didn't help that my mother never told me why. My Mother and I were not by any means rich or even a little rich. We had to fight sticks and stones to make a living, but that doesn't mean that we weren't happy we always had each other and always remembered that tomorrow was a new day and that day could change our lives. We always kept that in mind. While by mom was a waitress I was a errand boy mostly for Canterlot's elites doing small jobs, but while I was working for Fancy pants (one of the nicer nobles) I took some notice of the guards training and thats when my love for sword fighting came up.Though I knew my Mom wouldn't approve of it. I still wanted to pursue it so I asked the Sargent if he could train me he declined my offer and told me he couldn't train a pipsqueak like me. I knew I was a kid but I didn't like to be called short or any other form of short. Knowing that I couldn't do anything I slumped off.
3 Months later, I stumbled across a stealthed katana laying in the alley way while I was doing a errand run. I cautiously walked toward it and when I reached out to grap it this black mist climbed up my arm and made me blackout. Some time later I woke up and found the katana in my hand, but I had a strange felling about the sword like i felt like I knew how to wield it and understood it. I slowly got up and rubbed my forehead and headed home. When I got home to our old wooded house my Mother immediately ran to me and hugged me tight saying she thought something bad happened to me. When I looked over to the clock I was four hours late than usual. Then I hear my mom gasp as I saw her looking at my flank. When I looked what I saw surprised me I saw my cutie mark. It was a shield with a katana going diagonally through the shield with a little black mist coming off of it.
I knew from then on my purpose has something to do with my sword so when I got old enough i thought what better than to be a mercenary or a bodyguard for hire. I did this for years to come, but when I was working for this certain client named Richy Bit it changed my life forever. I was suppose to guard his jewels when he was moving them to his house and It went very smoothly until we got to his mansion. He was doing a jewel count and he found out one of his prized jewel was missing. He immediately suspected me , because he knew about my past (Background checks) I consistently told him I didn't take it, but he ignored me and told me I had 2 weeks to find it and if not I had hell to pay. Though those two weeks I looked high and low for it and came up with nothing. So I headed home so I could wait for what I suspected a bill to pay. Though when I opened up the door I got the shock of my life.
Blood spattered over the wall saying "You took something from me and now I took something from you
My Mother

De-
"Sir" a female voice said that snapped me out of my thoughts
I looked up and saw the bartender, a little surprised that it was a women it was kind of rare to see that around Canterlot
"Sir" she said again "Are you ok"
"Uh...Y-Yeah I am fine" I said finally getting a grip on my voice
"Well it looked like you spaced out there"
"Yeah I was uh.. thinking of something that I haven't thought of in years"
"Ok then as long as your alright, anyway what would you like"
"Oh um I guess some hard cider" I said just wanting to clear my head
"Alright coming right up" she said as she walked away
As she walked away I looked around the bar to see that some time has passed, some of the people that were there when he entered left and even some new people were here. I turned back around to see the bartender handing him his drink
"Here you go"
"Thanks Miss-"
"Lilly but just call me Lilly ,don't add any of that miss crap"
"Well ok then didn't know you found that offensive"
"Well I just don't like to feel old, what can't a girl feel young" she said while putting her crossed arms under her bust to make it appear bigger than it already was.
"I um..guess not" I said nervously, trying not to ogle
"Are you sure about that" she said getting a lot closer to me
She than just bursted in laughter properly from seeing me in a uncomfortable
"HAHAHA O' man I love doing that" wiping a tear from her eye
"Don't worry I was just teasing though now that I think about it I might have gone a little two far"
"You think" I said with a raised eyebrow
"Funny, well I have to go serve some other people. I hope I can see you around" Lilly said
"You'll see" I said and with that she left to go take other peoples orders
After I finished my drink I headed home, way in the bad part of Canterlot. As I reached my house I slowly mad my way to bed. When I layed down on my bed I just couldn't stop thinking about that memory of my mother.
"I hate nobles"
With that I fell to the land of dreams

Flurry POV
"Honey are you almost finished packing" I heard my Mom call
"Yes mother" I yelled back down
My parents and I are going to visit our Aunts in Canterlot and It has been a while since I last been there. Mostly because I have been learning how to be a princess these past few years and always stuck in the castle. I barely get to do anything on my own free will without my parents consent with me being the first ever born alicorn. The most exciting thing for me is that since we will be there for a few months. I get to explore the city as long as I am with bodyguard though I am planning on trying to ditching him the first change I get.
"I can't wait"
