The rain fell heavy as two cubs ran for their lives, they wouldn't stop since the place where they lived was on fire. A battle had just took place and they were losing, they were told to run by their uncle. The youngest of the cubs, couldn't stop crying, his light brown fur was wet and was dripping from the rain, his blue eyes were filled with sadness and fear. The oldest was trying his hardest to get them to safety, but he was only a cub. His dark brown fur was also wet, but his light brown eyes wouldn't let him see anything else but the things ahead of him.

They ran for miles, until they were far enough away from the lands they used to call home. The oldest noticed the youngest tearing up, he made his way over and nuzzled him. They sat down and looked up, the kings were playing a trick right? This wasn't actually happening right? There was no way....Right? They never got an answer, the cubs lied down and went to sleep, or the youngest did. The oldest was wide awake, he didn't want to believe it. But it was true, their family was gone at this point.

The oldest thought it was safe, until he saw a dark red mane getting closer. Their father, grandfather, or uncle doesn't have a dark red mane, and if it wasn't them then, it was the killer that was after them. The oldest woke the youngest up and shouted to him to start running, they started running and they didn't stop.

The youngest was getting tired at this point, while the oldest was running faster. When the oldest saw the youngest slowing down, fear set in. The oldest looked back to see nothing was following them, yet. He stopped running and walked back to the youngest, which was only like five steps.

"Akello," The oldest started, "You got to keep running!"

"I can't! Suda, I can't run anymore!" Akello told Suda, who just shook his head.

"You can! I seen you run!" Suda had full hopes that Akello could run fast.

Before Akello could respond, Suda saw a dark red mane again. This time Akello also saw it and started running again, but this time he was faster. Suda partly smiled and partly scared, Suda followed after Akello.

The cubs started to get dizzy from running and from hunger, soon they past out. Lucky for them, they where in a cave, so the killer couldn't find them. Suda was the first to wake up, he saw the rain had stopped. He woke up Akello and walked out of the cave, to see some food that was left.

They found another animal who told them it was left overs and they could have it, once they ate, they left and walked to find their way back home....Suda thought for a moment and knew they would be hunted if they were to go home. Instead of going home liked planed, they went even farer away.

Suda saw Akello's sad face and didn't do a thing, he was more focused on finding somewhere to stay and had food for them. He heard Akello call out for him, but he didn't listen. Akello had it, Suda didn't say anything to him when he called out for him.

"Suda! Stop!" Akello shouted while he ran in front of Suda.

"Why should I?! In case you forgot, we're being hunted!" Akello was taken back by this, Suda never yelled at him.

"Well I....Um...." Suda rolled his eyes, he pushed Akello out of his way and started walking again.

"Your the least of my worries!" Akello started to tear up. Did Suda really mean this? Akello ran past Suda, tears rolling down his eyes.

Suda saw Akello and felt bad fast, he ran after him, but he couldn't see him anywhere. He really messed up this time, he didn't mean it! He was just worried about food and shelter for them.

It was almost noon when Suda finally found Akello, only he was passed out. Suda frowned, he never meant it, but Akello thought he did. He was the worst brother ever to Akello, he had promised to take care of his brother when he was born and make sure no one hurt him, but he hurt him. He hurt him with words that said he didn't care for him.

Your the least of my worries! The words hurt him more than Akello, he was ashamed of himself for saying those words. He cared deeply for his brother. Suda was getting tired by the minute until he finally passed out, not knowing that some animal was watching them.

"Poor dears, they must be so tired." The voice came from someone, someone who felt bad for the cubs.

"Let's go, we can stop by castle and bring them to the Princess." Another voice was able to be heard.

By the time Suda woke up, he was confused as to where they were. They weren't in the Pride Lands, and they weren't in the forest anymore, so where were they? Then something happened to Suda that made him remember something.

Don't look back and keep on running! And whatever you do, protect your brother!

The words rang in his ears, Suda remembered that his father told him that when they were order to run away. Suda looked to his left and saw Akello sleeping, he was glad that his brother was alright but....He didn't have a clue were they where. Until.....

"Are you two okay? You were out for a while." Suda looked to see...Two no three....Horses? Two were white and the other was a shade of purple....This wouldn't end good, wouldn't it?
