The Lunar Insurrection: Operation Blackout

“Overlord this is Achilles 0-1, 141 is over the drop point, over.”
“We read you Achilles, you are clear to commence the operation.” the reply crackled over Joker’s headset. The room shook with a rumble
“Copy your last, out.” Joker replied. “Alright lads, we got a greenlight. Rally point Charlie-Charlie, Black Flag raised.”
“Chief, what happens if we fail this mission?” asked Flash.
“We destroy the evidence, leave, and become Disavowed for our failure.” Joker yelled as the room shook again, with another rumble.
“We’re Task Force 141, we don’t do failure.” Tank interjected.
“Let’s move. Operation Blackout is a go.” Joker said.
“Joker, this is Reaper, standing by. over.” a female voice came from the radio.
“Copy that, Reaper. Be prepared for cleanup, over.” Joker replied.
“Copy your last. Good luck, out.”
“Grab your rifles and be prepared to move.” Joker said to the group. There was another rumble.
“Pilot, open the rear door.”
The rear door of the flying machine opened, revealing the Canterlot skyline.
“Move, move, move!” all jumped out at Joker’s command, Joker included.

“141, sound-off.” Joker said, looking out from his cover.
“Tank. Clear.”
“Flash. Clear.”
“Trigger. Clear.”
“Thor. Clear.”
“Grunt. Clear.”
“Reaper. Clear.”
“North. Surrounded by hostiles”
“Say again North. How many?” Joker asked, his muscles tensed.
“Approximately 9 hostiles in my area.” North said.
“State your location, we’ll get you out of there.” Joker replied.
“I’m near a statue of Starswirl the Bearded. Hostiles are moving in.”
“Reaper, can you locate North?” Joker asked.
“Affirmative. 1 klick north-east of my location. 10 Hostiles confirmed,” Reaper replied. “Permission to take them out?”
“Granted, shoot on my mark. North, weapons free. Engage targets when I call the shot.” Joker ordered.
“Roger.” Both replied.
“Reaper, take the shot.” Joker ordered.
A minute of silence.
“All targets confirmed dead.” North reported.
“Move to the rally point,” Joker said. “Reaper, move to vantage point Beta.”
“Copy that Joker. Out.” Reaper replied.
