The sun was setting in Ponyville. The sunlight shining through the windows of Sugarcube Corner was slowly growing dimmer. If one were to come near the door, they'd be able to hear the faint sounds of Rainbow Dash's laughter.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" The blue Pegasus exclaimed. "You seriously did that!?" She began to laugh again, falling onto her back from her former seat on Pinkie's bed.
Applejack began to chuckle, smiling at Fluttershy. "Yeah, Ah never took ya fer a snake tamer, Fluttershah. Ah mean, ya talk to animals and all, but geez! That was brutal!"
The shy Pegasus's wings moved a bit uncomfortably as she blushed deeply. "Well... I-I mean, he was asking for it..." She said, only causing Dash's laughter to become louder.
Twilight giggled, but then noticed a strange silence. Yes, Rainbow Dash's voice was filling the room, but there was a specific voice that she wasn't hearing that concerned her. "...Pinkie Pie?"
Pinkie had her head down, her eyes on the ground. She seemed to be in very deep thought, which was very unusual for her. She was concentrating hard, small beads of sweat dripping from her brow. Upon hearing her name for what seemed like the first time, she slowly looked up. "Huh? What is it?" Her high pitched voice rang out to the others, who were staring at her.
Twilight was now very concerned. She'd called the pink pony's name at least ten times already, and she'd just now heard her. "Pinkie, are you alright? You haven't said a word in at least thirty minuets." She replied in a worried tone.
The pink mare smiled, seemingly a bit off. "Oh! Uh..." She started, "I'm fine! It's just..." She looked out of the window, noticing the moon coming up. "It's getting kinda late, don't you think?"
The others gasped. Never had they heard their friend say anything like this at a party. Especially with it being one of her own.
Rarity got up and walked over to her fluffy maned friend. Her voice was soft and caring. "Darling, is there something bothering you?"
Pinkie smiled even more, being very nervous. She then looked at her clock, realizing what time it was. "Nope! You guys gotta go now~" She said as she began to push the other five out of the door. "See ya all tomorrow!"
Once they were all outside, they looked at one another in confusion.
"What the hay was that?"
