Prologue: Darkhorse Arrives

Darkhorse galloped at an exemplary speed, almost a blur... a dark blur in the midst of darkness.

As he ran through the darkness, the whole of the Void stretched out before his eyes.

He had lost track of time, because, of course, the Void is devoid of all time. Time just did not exist there. He had been running for hours, maybe days, months, or years in the physical plane.

Where he was going, not even he knew. The only thing he did know was that he had to keep going.

The Void was his home, the place where he really *existed, but even **he did not know how to navigate it correctly.*

The gates to the different dimensions of the physical plane were few and far between, and even if they were found, they were almost impossible to pass through without some knowledge of the arcane arts... which Darkhorse had. Even then it was dangerous. Magic attracted many unwanted visitors in the Void. Not that many other life-forms existed there. But what forms did exist there were usually dangerous, Darkhorse could attest to that. He was one of them.

In many of the Physical Demensions he was known as "The Master of the Void". As if. He had as hard as a time finding his way through the place, much less finding a way to *manipulate** it. Just because he was made  of the same matter the Void was didn't mean he knew it any better than others.*

Speaking of the Physical Demensions, Darkhorse began to feel a tugging at his very... soul. The same tug he felt *every time** some idiot tried to summon him to one of the physical planes. Why couldn't those pesky physical beings leave him alone?*

The tug began to pull harder and harder and before long, Darkhorse gave up trying to resist and let himself be pulled into the physical plane.

One moment he was galloping through the Void and the next he dissapeared there...

...And appeared in the middle of a dirt courtyard surrounded by pictureesque buildings of vibrant colors... and he was surrounded by the very thing his appearance was based off of... equines. But not regular run-of-the-mill equines. Pastel-colored Equines!

Darkhorse stood there for a moment, looking around. And then out of nowhere he shouted out one halting phrase.

"Oh. For. The. Love. Of. DARKNESS!"
