The blankets shifted as Sunset woke up, though instead of hearing birds, she only heard the beeping of her alarm clock. Is it really morning? she thought as she tried to shut off the alarm, but gave up and decided to unplug it. Why did I get one with the battery? Sunset complained as she finally succeeded in shutting the alarm off.
She looked out her window, but was greeted with the sight of pitch black. What the heck? Rolling out of bead, she plugged back in the clock, only to find it reading six twenty-one. "And the time is off, great," Sunset sighed as she placed back on her makeshift night stand; if it was past six in the morning, the sky shouldn't have been all black.
The bacon haired girl trudged out of her room, glancing out the hallway window. It was still dark out; all the buildings sporting various shades of grey with no light source to show their true colors. "Whatever, my clock is just off," she muttered.
The annoyingly blinding sun is what woke her up this time. She looked up, "shit". She reset the time, but her alarm hadn't gone off; she was late for school. "You know what, I'm gonna stay right here all day."

A few seconds after closing her eyes, a loud splat and thunk sounded from right being her head. Eyes wide she quickly sat up and peeked her head out the corner of the window. Nothing, or at least nothing in her direct line of sight. She scrambled out of her room with a small gut telling her to lock all the windows and doors, and she did just that, even barricaded some. Why? Well, Sunset has learned that bad things happen when she ignores her gut feeling.
Sunset sat against her door, listening for anything else, when she noticed just how silent everything was. Great, more creepy stuff. Everyone just loves creepy stuff. Any other thoughts were cut off by the unusually loud knocking on her door.
"Hello? I wish to speak with you. Or are you not home?" A voice seeming to belong to a boy echoed down the hallway. The knocking, or bandpging at this point, stopped abruptly. She had literally become a statue.
