I walked through the large castle, my hoofsteps ringing loudly in the shockingly empty halls. I remember the feeling of my saddle bags shifting under my wings, irritating my sensitive feathers. Of course, this was nothing new. To the untrained eye, it would look as if it was chock full of books, something that everypony would expect from me. But, as Celestia or Luna would know, it was filled with the Elements of Harmony. Five of them, anyways. The sixth, Magic, was adorned in my chest piece. It was so awful how much it reminded me of my mentor's. I wanted nothing to do with her, yet my golden regality was a reminder of my.... predicament.
I walked towards Celestia's chambers, the lack of Guards slightly disturbing. Shouldn't I be questioned? Even though I am a Princess, I've always been stopped before getting to the Princess' Chambers. Oh well, the lack of Guards worked well for me. I raised my hoof to the door, knocking twice.
"Princess Celestia?" I asked, fake concern dripping off my sickly sweet voice.
"Hello, Twilight." The calm regal voice spoke behind me. "I suppose I should begin to explain why the castle is empty, though I'm sure you have long since realized," Celestia spoke, her voice never dropping its pleasant tone as she rambled. "I have evacuated all of my little ponies from Canterlot and the surrounding areas to reduce injuries. Please, Twilight," Celestia spoke, her calm voice wavering for a bit. She seemed worried, almost fearful. "I don't want this to happen. Prehaps I could reason with you," She took a labored breath as she choked back tears, "Or prehaps, you want my blood spilled over your horn. Either way, I will not let you harm these ponies. You will have to either smite me or stand down." Celestia spoke, throwing her head back as she lit her horn, her bright golden magic snaking around her body, slowly hardening into glistening armor. I let a small smirk spread across my face.
This would be fun.
I remember bloodlust. An intense craving for my former student's blood to spill on my pristine hooves as I lunged, like a cat finally cornering a mouse. I barely can remember Twilight's broken scream as I so easily snuffed out her life. She was a magical prodigy, but it seemed as if the student never surpassed the teacher. I had eons of magical experience under my belt, and my beloved student only had a mere nineteen. She couldn't measure up to a Goddess.
Or I thought, at least. It wasn't a broken scream I heard, no, I remember now.
It was laughter.
The Goddess was vicious as she lept towards me. Her teeth and horn searching for flesh, for blood to spill. She was furious that I would even dare try to hurt her precious little ponies. I laughed at her display. She'd exhaust herself, I thought as I dodged a powerful beam. It would have taken my legs off if it hit. Shattered every remaining bone and made me regret daring to step a hoof out of the clearly defined line Celestia has given me ever since I was a filly.
And that's why her screams echoed across Canterlot as blood splattered on her white coat, and why my horn was coated in dripping ichor. She beat her wings quickly, flying off of the ground and firing at me. I could see her pain, her agony. She wouldn't last long. I too took to my wings, tackling the Lady of the Sun to the ground and standing over her. I heard her surprised gasp as I took my hoof to her throat, pressing down.
"Die... already!" I shouted, stomping and bucking into Celestia's body until her screams where nothing but gurgle pleas. "You can't... win!" She looked at me, desperation in her eyes. She opened her mouth as if she was about to speak, before I stuck my bloodied hoof in her mouth and so easily tore away her jaw. "I was expecting so much more, Princess! I mean, after all, you are a Goddess to all of Equestria. Yet, you're here in a bloody heap at my hooves... maybe Natural Alicorns rely more on pure magical power than their Earth Pony strength?" I rambled on, slightly forgetting the Goddess on the ground, her breathing now stopped, her eyes frozen in a look of pain.
