The Odd Sister

Once upon a time there was a couple married together. A mare from Manhattan and a stallion from Canterlot. They both really enjoyed the fancy life. That's why the mare moved to Canterlot in the first place. They eventually had foals, two of them were Violet Melody and Octavia Melody. As they grew older, Violet and Octavia became good sisters. They would play fight, do tea parties and especially learn about different types of music together. This would not last however as Violet started enjoying music frowned upon by Canterlot and its locals. However her parents loved her all the same so they gave her the equipment she wanted even with Purple Goggles in which her mother had written on the back, Never give up on your dreams. Her parents would fight about Violets interests. They eventually caved in and along with the rest of Canterlot starting demanding that Violet like classical and reverent music. Celesta was too busy keeping tabs on her student and worrying about her own sister. Celesta couldn't fix all of equestrians friendship problems but that's for another story. Octavia would beg Violet to listen to something else which would either lead to an argument or Violet just blocking her out. Violet didn't like this at all. It was to much and she just wanted to be who she was and every pony just didn't except her even her own parents! Octavia was the only one who could tolerate Violet. Violet then got in an argument with her sister and family. That was it, the last straw. Violet ran away from home hurt and her voice hurt from all the arguing. She would cry and then wake up a bit more comfortable with her situation the next day. She arrived at Ponyvill where she would make her first friend. A mare just couldn't bare seeing Violet frown. That mare introduced herself as Pinkie Pie. She threw a party just for Violet which took her by awe and surprise. Ponyvill was more excepting to Violet, They didn't care about her interests in electronics, instead they were fond of it. Pinkie Pie finally made a dream come true for Violet. Violet preformed at Ponyvill party with vinyl records deciding to call herself DJ Pon-3. What started out as an awkward day turned into an awesome fun filled afternoon. This party wouldn't just surprise Pinkie Pie's friends because that fateful day Violet got her Cutie mark from making the most awesome irresistible beats ever! That party ended with a breathtaking scratch that matched perfectly with the beat with every pony having fun. Violet made a new name for herself, she and her friends took to calling her Vinyl Scratch. From that day on she would smile and bob her head listening to that music. She also became very attached to her goggles because of what they meant to her. It was rare to see her not listening to music or not wearing her goggles. Meanwhile withing a month In Canterlot Octavia felt bad about the argument that had happen'd between her and her sister she went looking for her sister and heard rumors of DJ Pon3. Knowing Violet's interests Octavia went to meet DJ Pon3. To her surprise DJ Pon3 was Violet. Octavia apologized and asked for her to come home. Problem was Violet liked it in Ponyvill. Violet convinced Octavia to call her Vinyl as Octavia would use this as a bribe to get her back to Canterlot. After a debate with there parents they agreed to let Vinyl live in Ponyvill and Canterlot as well as between. Octavia also wanted to spend more time with her sister so she had homes in the places Vinyl would hang out at to. In Ponyvill they even shared the same house. That lead to problems however. With both of them and there almost opposite interests lead to misunderstandings and misplacement of a variety of things. It caused a lot of fighting until it was decided that the house be painted in two different shades of colors. It helped them keep track of there stuff and not make such a big deal of things. Also they both grew fond of the abstract look the house had. Even painting the mailbox and trimming the bushes to match the style of their home. Octavia stopped arguing with Vinyl and actually trying to enjoy different types of music, parties or hang out with Vinyl. They became the best of friends and good sisters once more. This is a story of Vinyl Scratch. I hope you enjoyed it and thought it was awesome.
