Chapter Two - Beginnings

It was a nice day in Equestria. Everypony was having an amazing day in the school yard. One colt, in particular, was having a talk with his friend.

"So, Cloudracer, what do you want to do before I have to leave?" said Timeflux, to his (rather pinkie-pie like) friend.

"I dunno Flux, wanna screw around?" I wasn't really feeling like screwing around today, but I could make an exception.

"Nah Cloud, I have a better idea."

About 20 minutes later, we found ourselves at the top of Marespoint hill with some wood with wheels on it.

"Flux, do you really think this is a good idea?"

"Well, it looks fun does it not?" Was all I could say. By this time, me and cloud were on our "platform racer" and ready to go.

"You ready cloud?" I asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

We pushed off and started descending the hill.

"So Flux, how do we stop once we get to the bottom?" Cloud asked.

"Uhm... That might be a bit of a problem..."

Well, it WAS quite the problem, considering it does NOT feel good to ram into a tree doing about 60 on a plank made of nothing but wood and nails. Unfortunately, the way we were seated meant that she had to sit in front of me, meaning she took almost the full force of the impact. Fortunately, however, we did not hit the tree straight on. We hit it at just enough of an angle to send her flying off into the tree and me into the ground at the most awkward angle. I slowly got up, noticing the pile of wood and nails a few meters from the tree, and a white and gray mare lying on the ground next to a tree, her one leg in a position it DEFINTELY was not meant to be in, and blood running out of a few places, including her nose.

"Oh buck! Cloud!" I yelled, rushing over to her. She appeared to have been knocked unconscious from the tumble we had just taken, so I quickly galloped over to the spot we had left our bags and grabbed a bottle of water. I quickly opened the bottle and poured it on her face, attempting to wake her up.

"Woaa owww.... What the buck... I feel like I've been hit by a train or something..." she said, attempting to get up.

"OH BUCK THAT HURTS!"

We quickly discovered that when a leg is in a position it is not supposed to be in that it is most likely broken.

"Cloud, you should put bandages on those cuts, I think I might have some for you in my bag." I said, walking over to my bag, pulling out some band-aids. I walked back over and I started to bandage her up, but she is a tough mare. She refused to let me put more than 4 band-aids on her because she didn't want to look like she got "beat up" by somepony.

"Hey Flux, do you know what we're gonna do about my leg?" she asked.

"Well, if you can let me move it back into a more natural position instead of behind you, I can put it into a splint using a price of wood from the racer."

After 10 minutes and lots of cussing and screaming, I finally managed to get her leg back to a normal position, although it still looked VERY bucked up.

"We should probably get you to a hospital so they can look at that leg." I said.

" But I don't wanna, Flux!"

"Well Cloud, that wasn't a suggestion. That was an order. I'll drag you there if I have to." I said, gathering our bags with my magic.

We arrived at the hospital about 30 minutes later, considering I had to carry her on my back the whole way. We walked inside and up to the desk.

"Hello, how may I help you?" asked the mare behind the desk.

"I think my friend broke her leg, we were screwing around and she hit a tree pretty hard." I explained.

"I'll page the doctor, please take a seat."

After about 3 minutes, the doctor walked out and walked us to one of the gurneys.

" Can you sit down here please, miss." He said, gesturing to the gurney.

"Im going to cast a spell to see if there is any breakage which I will be able to fix, so please sit still." He said, his horn lighting up.

"Ah yes, the damage looks pretty bad, but I should be able to fix it. Please lie on your stomach and stretch out." He directed.

"Ok, first, I'm going to give you some medication to make you sleep so I can do the operation." He said, handing her a cup and a capsule. 5 minutes later she was asleep, and he started with his spell, her bones cracking back into place and mending.

"All done, now I'm going to need to put this in a cast before she wakes up, do you think you can help me do that? I just need you to roll her over and elevate her leg." He said, grabbing some cast with his magic. I rolled her sleeping form over with my magic and then elevated her leg just as he had told me. He then began wrapping her whole leg from hoof to flank with the cast.

"All done!" He said.

"You're free to leave once she wakes up." He told me, and with that he left the room. Cloud woke up about 2 minutes later, and we left after that to go get some ice cream.

"What flavor do you want Cloud?" I asked her.

"Chocolate and vanilla please!"

We both sat down at our fort behind my house, enjoying our ice cream. We had a little competition to see who could eat their ice cream first, and of course, she won.

"I just don't know how you do it Cloud, it's like you're an ice cream eating machine!" I joked.

"At least I can stop myself from dripping ice cream on myself!" She giggled, pointing a hoof at my chest and muzzle. How I even managed to get ice cream on my chest is beyond me.

"You do look cute when you manage to get ice cream on yourself, though." she said, her cheeks becoming fiery red. "Could say the same thing about you, Cloud." I said.

"But I don't have any ice cream on me!" She said, gesturing to herself.

"Oh you don't, now do you?" I said, dripping some ice cream on her muzzle.

"Hay! No fair!" She said, Trying to lick the ice cream off.

"I can't get it! I should totally make you wipe it off my muzzle, though, now that I can't enjoy it."

"How do you want me to do that Cloud, lick it off?" I joked.

"I know you want so badly to lick it off Flux, so go ahead." she said.

"Wow, really Cloud, would that be like, kissing you?" I asked.

"Honestly Flux, if you wanted to kiss me, you could just ask, considering I really like you." she replied.

"Well Cloud, I like you too, so why not, would you kiss me, say, right now?" I asked.

"Well, considering that there is nobody around, I will." She said, throwing her hooves around me and kissing me, then pulling away and blushing.

"That wasn't at all expected," I said, "But would you be my marefriend?" I questioned.

"Of course I would, Flux, of course I would." she said, wrapping her hooves around me and kissing me again.
