Where am I?
This is the sole question running through my head at the moment. I appear to be in a forest of some kind, but I could have sworn that I was walking home from school just now. I still have my stuff, my laptop clutched in my hand, my bag on my back, and my phone in my pocket.
So, how did I get here, then?
Eh, no time to ponder over that. Gotta find civilization, first. Think about trivial details like how I got where when, and why, for what reason, later. After all, why would I need to establish key story aspects? Civilization awaits!
Walking down the path, I take a moment to detail my surroundings a bit more. Trees, trees, trees, chicken lizards, trees, and trees, Nothing to special. Well, maybe one thing.
That chicken lizard seems important. It seems almost... Mystical. Mythical. Mysterious. Magical. Ma- I could do this all day. I could also look at the chicken lizard.
"Hey, lizard chicken thing! Nice weather we're having. Could you maybe... I don't know. Point me to the nearest city?"
... ... ...
No answer.
"Eh, fine. I'll leave you be. After all, why would a poor, innocent child need shelter?"
I go and walk away. Or... Try to, anyway. But, my feet are stuck to the ground.
"Aw, what'd I end up stepping in now?"
Looking down at my feet, I realise that they're becoming all rocky, and that rockiness is spreading up my legs. It's a cool feeling, like slowly wading into an ice cold river. And it's actually kind of pleasant. But, I have to reach civilization! No time to relax!
"Hey lizard chicken, do you know how to fix my le-waist? Otherwise, I might be in for a rocky road to the city."
This time, I do get an answer. It's a harsh "Hisssss!"
"Please, how will I be able to go to the toilet with Kidney Stones?"
"Hissssssssssssssss!!!"
"Fine! I guess you think I'M the one with a stone heart! Well, it's y-"
At that moment, the rockyness reaches my mouth.
"Hiiiisss!" The lizard chicken hisssssses, ready to pounce.
Suddenly, a giant wooden...wolf thing comes out, and eats the lizard.
However, it's a bit too late for me, because I am already...
Stoned.
