Chapters Finding Pinkie and Flutters
I layed there, crying. I was on my bed looking at an old photo. It was ripped and worn. But in the picture, there were six ponies. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and me, Twilight Sparkle. It was years since I saw Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, or even Fluttershy. Evey once and I while Pinkie would randomly pop up at the castle. But not enough.
"Twilight, I know you miss our friends, but you haven't eaten today. Come on, I made pancakes." Spike said. He tried to pull her away from the photo. But she didn't move. "Well at least let me get you something to eat!" Spike smiled. "How about Triple Berry Extra Cherry Pancake Surprise? But without the surprise?" Spike asked. I looked at him. I thought of time when I didn't want to be in my castle because it didn't feel like a home, so my friends made me my Chandelier of the Golden Oak Library roots; it was filled with all the memories of my friends and I since I moved to Ponyville. I got up quickly. I had an idea.
"Spike! We need to find our friends! They're not only the elements of harmony, but they are a part of me! We. Need. To. Find. Them. Now, Spike!" I said rushing around the room. "We should first find Pinkie. She will probably know where Fluttershy and Applejack are if they stayed in Ponyville! Come on! Let's go!" I yelled. I ran out the door and out towards Sugarcube Corner.
I walked into Sugarcube Corner. Only to be bearhugged by Pinkie. Now a Pinkie Pie bearhug isn't a normal bearhug. Once she broke one of Rainbow's ribs, when she refused to release her.
"Twilight! Oh my Celestia! I can't believe it's you! It's been forever! But I haven't seen Dashie in five ever! Which is even longer! Oh, Twilight how have you been?" She asked releasing me. She had a whisp of sadness in her eye, but Pinkie blinked it away. Pinkie looked as normal as she could be. With her crazy hair and bright blue eyes, she looked like she could a party any minute. But then she immediately grabbed Spike and pulled him in for a hug too.
"At the castle, with Celestia, you know stuff like that." I told her. "So, Pinkie... I need your help." I told her. She looked at me and smiled.
"Lokie dokie Loki!" She said. "What's the problem?" She asked. So I told her. "Well, I know that Applejack still lives in her farm and Fluttershy in her cottage. I also know that Rarity lives in Manehattan, or was it Canterlot? I don't remember. But Dashie lives in Cloudsdale. Come on! Let's find Fluttershy!" She said bouncing off. Twilight raced after her.
After a few minutes Pinkie stopped at... At...
"They rebuilt the Golden Oak Library?" Spike asked. I was the Golden Oak Library's Librarian. I hoped that they didn't ask me to be the librarian again. With being the princess of friendship that may put a little bit more work that I want. But the Library looked exactly the same. Accept it wasn't a tree, well it was a tree, but it was half cloud. Pinkie smiled.
"Yeah. But don't worry, Twi! There is already a librarian! Cloud Wonders and her husband Wing Beat! Oh! And I can't forget about their little fillie! Petal Skies! Do you want to meet them?" She asked. Three new ponies in Ponyville and I didn't know about it? So much for being the Princess of Friendship.
"Maybe later. Can we go see Fluttershy now?" I asked. I wanted to meet Cloud Wonders, Wing Beat, and Petal Skies and I bet they're nice ponies, but I want to see my friends.
"Okay! Let's go!" She said bouncing off again. I had to gallup to catch-up with her. After a few minutes we were at Fluttershy's cottage at the edge of the Everfree Forest.
"Here we are!" Pinkie said. No really. It looked exactly the same, but there was a fence around it and there was a little plastic fillie playhouse in the yard. We walked threw the gate and up to the front door. Spike knocked.
"Petal Skies! I think your parents are here!" Fluttershy's voice rang out. There was two groans. "Oh! I better get the door." She said. There was a moment of silence. Then Fluttershy opened the door.
"Now Petal and Daisy Dash were just..." Her voice falter. Fluttershy looked older and more mature. Her mane was up in a bun -most like done by her brother, Zephyr Breeze-. "Twilight? Pinkie? Spike!" She said giving them all a group hug.
"Mom! Can't you come back later? Dashie and I were... You aren't my mommy." Said a rainbow maned fillie with a blue/purpleish coat. Her tiny wings flapping as she hoovered over the ground. She didn't have her Cutie Mark yet. "Oh. Yay! Dashie! We can still play!" She said dropping onto the ground and running around the corner.
"Yay!" Another fillies voice called. Soon the air was filled with giggles. Fluttershy released them.
"Oh my! If I had know you three were coming I would of made tea! Oh hello, Cloud Wonders! Are you here to pick up Petal Skies?" Fluttershy asked. We turned around and saw a rainbow maned mare with a light blue coat. She was hoovering over the ground only a few feet in the air. At first I thought Rainbow Dash, but then I saw her Cutie Mark it was an open book and her mane went downwards kinda like Fluttershy's, but a lot more untidy.
"Yup. Thanks for having her over, Fluttershy." And her voice didn't really sound like Rainbow. It still had a raspy tone to it, but it was a lot more smooth. She smiled looking at us. "You must be Princess Twilight Sparkle. Nice to meet you, I'm Cloud Wonders. What up, Pinkie?" She said. She landed and walked over to us. She had more sway to her walk than Rainbow too. She held out a hoof, I shook it.
"Nice to meet you." I said. She just smiled. She leaned into the door way and said,
"I'm coming to get you, Petal!" She grinned and trotted inside. Once she turned the corner she roared. There were screams and laughing of delight. "I'm coming to get you!" She said again. Fluttershy smiled.
"Come on in." She said. We trotted inside the cottage.
We all sat at the table, drinking tea. Cloud Wonders was telling us a story about how she came home to se her daughter, Petal Skies and Fluttershy's adopted daughter, Daisy Dash in the middle of a kitchen disaster.
"So I come home to see my kitchen a mess, all the books in the library were on the floor, and Petal and Daisy standing right in the middle of it! That's also how I discover we had a kitchen." She told us. We laughed. The fillies frowned.
"We were making you a cake!" Petal complained. Daisy nodded. Daisy was a light green/yellow pegasus with a light blue and pink mane. Compared to Petal -who in fact was tiny- was a giant. She was slightly bigger than a normal pegasus fillie so if Daisy accently stepped on Petal's wing it would probably break.
"So, Daisy Dash? How did you choose that name?" Pinkie asked. Flutters slipped her tea.
"Well, I have a very dear friend who has always stood up for me, I haven't seen her in a few years though. So well, her original name was just 'Dasiy' but I thought about my friend." Fluttershy told her. Wow, I wonder if any other of our friends have foals of their own. Maybe Applejack and Rarity, but not Rainbow. I snorted thinking about how much Dash would complain about the pregnancy.
"Wait, wasn't there a famous Wonderbolt named Rainbow Dash ?" Cloud asked. I nodded. Spike got down and told the girls thst he would play with them. Spike had grown a lot since we saw Fluttershy, tips of wings were starting to grown on his back. The girls sqeeled, and they raced off around the corner.
"Yes, she was a dear friend. But..." Fluttershy's voice wandered off. I sipped my tea.
"But..." Pinkie urgered her to continue. Fluttershy looked down.
"I better show you." She said getting up and starting to look through a filing cabinet. After a minute, she came back up with an envelope and letter in her mouth. She brought it back over to the table and spit them out.
To: Fluttershy, Cottage near the edge of the Everfree Forest.
"'Dear Fluttershy, Being a Wonderbolt is the best thing that has and probably will happened to me. But they offered me a new job that I can't refuse. Like at all. So I am sorry, but I will not see you, or write letters to you for a while. I am also sorry, because I cannot tell you why. It will break my heart in two. But this is a big deal for me. So I will not be attending your pet tea party on Saturday with Tank. I won't also see you in a few months at the best. Don't worry, I'll stay as awesome as ever. So sorry, Dashie. '" When Fluttershy was done reading all I could do was open and close my mouth, and Pinkie wasn't much better. Fluttershy on the other hoof looked at verge of tears. Cloud Wonders got up, said goodbye, and left with Petal Skies.
"Wait, you and Dashie had pet tea parties without me?" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy blushed.
"Well, it was more like a picnic than a party. But the important thing is she sent this year's ago! And only said a few months!" Fluttershy looked down at the letter and wept. Why hasn't Dash sent any letter to any of us, she was -is- the element of loyalty.
"Dash is the element of loyalty I am sure she hasn't sent us letters for a reason and she said herself, 'it will break my heart in two '. I'm sure she misses us." I sighed. If only had a tacking spell put on all of them! Wait? Didn't my mom do that to me? I was think of tracking spells when it hit me, I pounded my hoof on the table.
"If only I had one of her feathers! I could use a tracking spell!" I said. Pinkie looked at me her eyes wide. "Pinkie, do you have one of Dash's feathers?" I asked. Pinkie giggled.
"Nope dope!" She said. "But I think I know who might!" She said bouncing up and down and out the door. "Come on, Twi!" She called. I looked at Fluttershy. She sipped her tea.
"Are you coming with us?" I asked. She looked around for a moment then looked at Dasiy.
"Dasiy, can you help Harry and Angel feed the chicken, brids, and otters?" She asked. Daisy's eyes grew big and she nodded and ran outside. Fluttershy for up and looked at Twilight.
"She should take a while. This better be quick!" She said. And we raced after Pinkie.
A few minutes later we found ourselves at Sweet Apple Acres. I rasied an eyebrow. Then I heard somepony talking about how to bake a pie correctly. Pinkie walk up to the door and knocked. A few seconds later Applejack poked her head our the door. We she saw us she opened the door and gave us a hug.
"Can't believe it! It's been ages!" She said.
"Mom! I broke the egg!" A small colts voice said. A small fit of laughter came from the same room.
"Petal! Applejack was very nice to let you learn how to make pie, so be respectful!" Cloud's voice said.
"Sorry mama." Petal's voice said.
"Sorry y'all. I got Cloud Wonders and her fillie over learn how bake a pie, with me and Northern Spy." Applejack said, backing up to let us in. We troted. It's not like I didn't like Applejack, but I didn't understand one thing.
"Pinkie, are saying Applejack has one of Rainbow's feathers?" I asked Pinkie. She looked confused.
"We were looking for Dashie's feathers? Oh yeah! APPLEJACK DO YOU STILL HAVE THE JARS IN YOUR CLOSET?!" Pinkie screamed, even though Applejack was standing two feet away from her. Applejack rubbed her ears with her hooves, Fluttershy and I did the same.
"Ugh, yeah." She replied. Pinkie seemed to be satisfied with her answer. Because she smiled and started to hop up the stairs to Applejack's bedroom.
"Come on girls!" She said in her normal cherry voice. Fluttershy leaned over to whisper in my ear.
"Uhm what did she say? I think I blew an eardrum." She hissed. Before I couod answer Cloud Wonders and Petal Skies came in.
"We should probably leave Applejack, it near her bedtime anyway. Have a good evening!" She said trotting in and out of the room. A small light red colt bursted threw the door of the kitchen. He was young maybe a year younger than Petal. But he was strong. He ran to the door and waved goodbye.
"Bye, Cloud! Bye, Petal!" He called. Petal looked back and waved back. His smile widened. After he couldn't see them anymore he trotted over to them.
"Hi! I'm Northern Spy! You must be Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Princess Twilight Sparkle! But Princess, you do know that Twilight doesn't really Sparkle? Right?" He asked. Applejack walked over to him.
"Cloud was right it is time for bed." Spy tried to complain. But he walked up to bed.
"Come on y'all. Let's get up there before Pinkie does." She told them and they trotted up the stairs.

At the end of the Rainbow
They raced up the stairs after Pinkie. Spike decided to go back to the castle and clean up. He was having to do that a lot, I was alway testing new spells with Starlight. But two weeks ago, she moved for the Crystal Empire to be with Sunburst.
When we came to Applejack's bedroom. It looked liked a little kid had moved in. A race car bed, toys littered the floor, and a picture frame with Applejack, Northern Spy, and was that Applebloom? Her bow was smaller than before, and she was all grown up. Applejack laughed.
"Wrong bedroom. That's Northern Spy's." She said trotting down the hall. They all glanced at one another then followed her. Pinkie bouncing in front.
"So, sis in-law, you do still have the jars right?" Pinkie asked. Applejack nodded. Fluttershy glanced at me.
"Sis in-law?" She asked. Pinkie smiled. She spun around and bounced backwards to talk to us.
"E-yep!" She replied in a Big Mac voice. Applejack smiled like it was a joke.
"Hmm uhm!" She said, just like Pinkie's sister, Marble Pie. Wait.
"Pinkie? Did Big Mac and Marble....?" I couldn't finish my sentence. But Pinkie nodded so hard that I thought her head could of falled off.
"Y'all should see the baby." Applejack said.
"Huh?" I replied.
"Why weren't we invited to the wedding?" Fluttershy asked. I was so confused that I forgot all about that. Pinkie and Applejack's smiled faded.
"Well....we did invite y'all, but..." Applejack started.
"You were all too busy." Pinkie finished. Then Twilight remembered... She was too busy because Tirek's prison bars were weakening. All five of them -Flurry Heart too, even though she was only a fillie at the time, she still is- had to pour almost all of their magic into the bars, so he wouldn't escape. It took weeks of hard work and stress. And I'm pretty sure I told Spike to go the wedding, but instead he stayed to help. I looked down not looking at Applejack.
"Awww. It's okay, ya have important princess-y stuff to do." Applejack said. Then she stopped and turned into her bedroom. Inside was what it normally looked like, a bed, a bedstand, a chest, a closet, and a bookcase.
Applejack trotted over to the closet and opened it. Inside instead of close were six jars. In two of them were whisps of magic, one blue, one dark pink, in three were different color feathers, light blue, another light yellow, and the last a purple, the last jar had a pink curly crazy hair. Fluttershy gasped.
"Is that my feather?" She gasped. Applejack blushed.
"And Twilight's and Rainbow's. The magic is Rarity's and also yours Twi. I look at them whenever I feel alone." Applejack said. My eyes grew wide.
"Applejack! We can now find Rainbow and Rarity! Whippie!" I said shooting up in the air. Applejack rasied an eyebrow.
"What I call of Equestria are ya talking about? How can magic and a feather help us find Rarity and Rainbow?" She asked. I smiled landing.
"I can use my location spell on it and it will wiz away to find its owner! And then all we need to do is follow it!" I said. Applejack sighed.
"Sorry, Twi. But no." She said. What?
"Applejack what are you talking about about?" I asked. Applejack closed her eyes.
"We need to move on with our lifes. Look at Rainbow! She flew off and left us to follow her dream! Same did Rarity! It's time to forget the past. I have a new family. Maybe you should go. Things aren't what they used to be, Twi." Applejack closed her eyes again and sighed. "Believe me, I wish that things could go back to the way they were, but they can't." She said trotting to the door.
"Ya can take Rarity's magic and Rainbow's feather. They mean nothing to me anymore. Just after that.....leave my family in peace." She said trotting out of the room. They watched as Applejack walked away. Imagine your best friend, okay, then let's say you haven't seen them in years, but when you go to their house everything has changed. Not physically, but emotionally. They don't remember whyy you two where even friends. Would you feel heartbroken? Shattered inside? 'Wow! I'm glad that isn't me!' you're probably thinking. But that's what Twilight was feeling. Broken and shattered.
"Why, A.J?" Fluttershy asked. But nopony answered.
"C-come on guys. We need to f-find D-dashie." Pinkie said. She looked at the verge of tears. This must of been big for her. Losing somepony as close to her, saying that we should just forget everything? Dash will be heartbroken. She and Applejack were almost as close as her and Pinkie. Plus Rainbow is loyalty, she'll be shattered.
"Pinkie's right. We need to find Dash." I picked up the jar with Rainbow's feathers with my magic, so delicate and small, so easy to break or lose. "Let me cast the spell and then we can find her." I told them. I opened the jar and set the feather down.
"Let's find the owner of this feather a friend I lost many seasons ago where will she be, let's find out find me this pony, owner of this feather! " I said casting the spell. The feather glowed blue, then floated up in the air, and began to fly away. We followed it. Fluttershy had grabbed the jar with Rarity's magic so we wouldn't have to return. We walked back down the stairs. Applejack was there, staring at us. She watched us go out the door. Northern Spy waved goodbye, but Applejack just blinked.
I thought it would lead us to Cloudsdale, but instead it lead us to the heart of Ponyville . Confused we followed the feather until we arrived at the Golden Oak Library. It stopped at the door, hoovering in place. A soft voice sang a melody.
"Shhh, be quiet now... shhh it's time to sleep.... shhh let your dreams and wonders take hold! shhh rest your head... shhh be quiet now.... shhh it's time...to...dream.... " it sang. We looked at each other. Then Fluttershy knocked at the door. A moment later a blue stallion, with a darker blue mane stood at the doorway. His Cutie Mark was a C.D with a wing on top of it. The feather flew into the library. The stallion's head watched it zoomed pass, then he turned to look at us.
"What was that?" He asked. Pinkie smiled.
"Hi, Wing Beat! You already know Fluttershy, and this is Princess Twilight Sparkle! And that was a magical feather, that was cursed so we can find our friend, Rainbow Dashie!" I smiled.
"Rainbow Dash." I said. Wing Beat looked confused.
"Well it's only me, Cloud, and Petal. So you must of misfired your spell or some-"
"Ow! What was that?" A voice said. Then Cloud floated down. When she saw us she smiled.
"Hey! I've been running into you three a lot today aren't I?" She said, laughing at her own joke. Then she turned to Wing Beat. "A random feather just poked into me. Do you know what's that's about?" She asked. Our jaws dropped. Cloud Wonders was Rainbow? But Rainbow would hate living in a library or being a librarian, and what about Petal?! So many thoughts went threw my mind. Who was Wing Beat? Why didn't she tell us who she really was?!
"R-r-rainbow?" Fluttershy managed. Cloud looked at her.
"What? My name is Cloud Wonders, not R-r-rainbow." She said laughing.
"Rainbow? Why didn't you tell us who you are?" I said. She looked at us, then at Wing then sighed.
"You better come in." She said stepping to the side to let us in.
