Little did Rainbow Dash know the fate of her day would come to. It all started with a cuddle ball of an alicorn and a Pegasus.
"You're the best, Twi..." Rainbow's muffled voice emerged from a ball of purple fur
"Mmm... You too, love you Dashie," Twilight responded tiredly. They had stayed up late last night at a fancy restaurant in Canterlot, but unfortunately, they fell asleep during dessert.
Rainbow then came to realization.
"Oh, uh, Twi, I got some... Errands to run. Mind if I come back tonight for dinner?" The Pegasus mare gulped. She left a note since her marefriend was sleeping soundly on the carpet, as Dash flew out the window.

"Oh, Dashie there you are!" A small butter-yellow pegasus called happily. Dash grinned.
"I'd never leave you. Why would you even think?" Rainbow mumbled, nuzzling the other Pegasus.
"Well.. Um..." Fluttershy hesitated, and shamely looked down. Rainbow touched her cheek tenderly with a hoof.
"You can tell me anything," The two made eye contact as the shy one sighed.

"It's just.... You've been away for so long, so often. It's like... You have better things to do then spend time with me..." Fluttershy mumbled under her breath. Dash's ears perked up.

"No, I'd never, ever do such a thing!I love you very much, I would never dump you,"

"But, where have you been, every time in the middle of our hang outs or dates?"

"I-I, uh... I've been working! Yeah that's it.. Working hard with, uh... a unicorn! She's... m-my boss... Uh..." Rainbow stared at her surroundings nervously, spotting a mare with pink and black mane carrying a fishing rod.
"Uh, Dashie, if you don't mind... What's her name? I'd love to meet her!" Fluttershy asked giving those adorable eyes, the way light hit it made them shine brighter. Rainbow Dash gulped.
"Her-her name? I-is that what you want to know? H-her name... Uh... She likes to... Fish."

"No, Dashie, her name,"

"Her name...." In some kind of miracle, her watch beeped. "Oh, gosh, I gotta go. To work, I mean." Rainbow kissed her on the cheek, and flew off. Fluttershy watched the cyan made speed off into the distance, a long, vivid rainbow following behind.
"That's... Odd,"

Rainbow landed in front of the castle of her marefriend, with a sigh. Before laying a hoof to the door,a purple blur tackled her and grinned.
"Ahh! Twilight-" her voice was cut off by a clump of fur rolling onto her.

"Hey, Rainbow! Where you been?"

"I, uh... Got a job, heh with... Butterscotch...!" Rainbow grinned.

"Wait- how'd you find my portal to- you work with Butterscotch?" Twilight asks ecstatically. The cyan mare felt her body go tense.
"Um... Yeah."

"Wonderful! Do you think he could come anytime soon... Perhaps?"

"Sure, Twi..."

"Sweet Celestia, I'd love to see him! And... If its alright with him, can he bring Dusk, too?" She asked, sitting on her rump. Rainbow smiled weakly. Uh... Sure, Twi. Anything for you,"
