One night Twilight sparkle was sleeping unaware of the night. When she got up. She groaned in annoyance. Once her vision cleared up she panicked. It felt...lonely. Twilight looked around and got tears in her eyes. She didn't know what to do. She hated being lonely. Her eyes darted around in fright. She stumbled to the ground and turned on her light. Spike wasn't there. She hyperventilated. Her eyes widened as she cried. She almost puked from fright. She sat up and sobbed. She got out of bed and darted out of her room.
She wasn't sure where to go. She didn't want to bother any of her friends. And the closest was Rarity. She had no idea where she was going in the dark so she lit up her horn as she ran while hyperventilating. She sobbed as she ran even faster. She wondered what would happen if she got there. Would Rarity let her come in.
She sobbed even louder she knew she should try to be quiet since ponies were sleeping but she didn't care. She had to get to her friends or she would pass out from fright. She ran even faster
She hated what was happening. Her sight was a little blurry from sleep. She ran even faster not stopping from a minute as tears streamed down her face. She screamed out.
Soon she saw Carousal Boutique in the distance. She kept running with all her might tears streaming down her cheeks. Once she got up she stopped as she looked at Carosal Boutiques door. She didn't want to disturb Rarity at this hour but she couldent wait till morning. She hoped Rarity would understand. She ran to the door and thought about knocking. Should she knock and scream or just call out for Rarity.
She didn't understand why she was acting like this. She was seeing her friends tomarrow but she felt like she couldent wait. She could either knock and call out now or just go home and suck it up. She stopped that thought and knocked loudly on Rarity's door. She waited but there was no answer. She knocked loudly with both hooves. She panicked. She would have to go somewhere else if Rarity wasn't home.
She knocked as loud as she could. Soon she heard Rarity groaning from tiredness inside. She cried out for Rarity. She heard her inside trying to get to the door. A light was turned on inside. She hoped Rarity wouldent be upset with her as she knew how much Rarity liked beauty sleep. Rarity opened the door and was suprised to see Twilight.
"What are you doing at this hour darling?" Rarity asked in concern as she saw that Twilight was panting heavily.
"CAN I PLEASE COME INSIDE!?" Twilight begged. Rarity grew even more concerned. She stepped aside.
"Well of coarse you can! Just please quiet down." Rarity said. Twilight ran inside and Rarity closed the door.
"What's wrong darling?" Rarity asked gently.
"I was....lonely and afraid." Twilight said blushing in a softer tone. Rarity walked up to Twilight.
"I was afraid you would ignore me and leave me out there." Twilight said as tears leaked out of her eyes. Rarity levitated over a tissue which Twilight used to wipe away her tears.
"I understand Twilight and no I would never ignore you or leave you out there." Rarity said gently. She hugged Twilight and Twilight hugged her back.
"Thank you so much." Twilight said as she sniffed calming down. Rarity and Twilight let go of the hug.
"Would you like some tea?" Rarity asked gently. Twilight nodded. Twilight sat down as Rarity fixed some tea. Twilight took a few deep breaths. Rarity finished the tea and gave some to Twilight. Twilight sipped it and it calmed her nerves. Twilight relaxed. Rarity also poured herself some tea and sat by Twilight rubbing her back. Twilight took a few deep breaths as she calmed herself by drinking the tea. Rarity smiled at her.
"You sound better!" Rarity said smiling at her. Twilight let out a sigh.
"I am better! Thanks a lot." Twilight said. They sat there in quiet just enjoying eachothers presence. Their breath was all that could be heard. Soon Rarity spoke.
"Do you want to sleep here tonight?" Rarity asked. Twilight nodded. Rarity sat up a spare bed with her magic and Twilight layed down. Rarity sat on the couch and turned on a little lamp and read the book.
"I'll be right here." Rarity said. Twilight smiled and nodded as she worked on getting back to sleep. Rarity stayed quiet as Twilight snuggled herself into the blanket. Twilight fought to get back to sleep as Rarity dimmed her light to make it easier for Twilight and just read until she made sure Twilight fell asleep. Soon Twilights eyelids began to droop and a smile spread across her face as she fell asleep.
It took a while for Rarity to notice but after a few moments she heard Twilight breathing softly she looked over and saw that Twilight was sleeping. Rarity smiled at Twilight. She set her book down and turned off her light. She then walked over to her, bent down and kissed Twilight on the forehead and smiled.
Rarity used her magic to levitate the dirty tea cups over to her sink as she walked over to the kitchen. She washed them quietly and put them away and walked to her room as she checked to see if Twilight was still sleeping. Once Rarity established that Twilight was asleep she turned off her hallway light and walked up to her room and got into her bed and turned off her light. She started to think on what she could make for breakfast for Twilight in the morning.
Once she thought of ideas for a few minutes she decided to think on it on the morning as she turned onto her side and closed her eyes and fought to get back to sleep. She levitated over her sleep mask and that seemed to help as she finally drifted off happy that she could help her friend.
