//-------------------------------------------------------// Spike's Sister -by FlareGun45- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Amazing Star Gaze //-------------------------------------------------------// The Amazing Star Gaze One day in the Castle of Friendship, Spike was reading on his bed one of his favorite comic series – The Amazing Star Gaze. It’s about a teenage pony that’s still going to High School, but lives a very complicated life and has to help take care of her little brother, Ruby Heart, because their mother has a very demanding job at Mareami City Hall. Unfortunately, Star Gaze has a life of her own, and can’t always stay to spend time with her brother, because she has a secret life as a superhero, fighting gang crime in Mareami – smugglers, thieves, and muggers. Her family doesn’t know about her secret, but Ruby has a secret of his own. While Star Gaze is always out fighting crime, Ruby- just then, Spike hears a clicking sound coming from down the hallway of the castle. Spike realizes the familiar sound, and he starts to get really nervous. He runs down the hall, and peeks into Starlight Glimmer’s bedroom and sees her packing up her satchel. As Starlight finishes packing and uses her magic to levitate her satchel on her back, Spike clears his throat as he stands outside her door. “Oh, hi Spike!” Starlight said happily. “Are you going somewhere, Starlight?” Spike asked curiously. “Yeah, it’s that time of the month again!” Starlight said. “Ew, what?” Spike asked, feeling disgusted. Starlight starts laughing as she facehooves herself. “I mean, you know every third week of every month, I help Trixie out with her tour. It’s part of my friendship lessons from Twilight! Always be there for your friends whenever you have the time to! Also, since Twilight and her friends are right now in a Friendship Summit in Yakyakinstan, I thought this would be a good time to go see Trixie! I hope you don’t mind.” “Mind? Me?” Spike asked. “Pfft, of course not! Don’t let me stop you from hanging out with your friend!” “Thanks, Spike!” Starlight said thankfully as she starts walking out of her room and down the hallway. “I’ll be back in a few days! A whole week, tops!” “I’ll be right here… waiting for you!” Spike said, feeling a little nervous. “I know you will! You’ll probably turn this castle into a fantasy world again with Big Mac and Discord while nopony’s here, so I’ll leave you to it!” Starlight said as she continues on through the hallway. “Oh I’ll have plenty of fun-fun go-lucky times! I promise you that, Starlight!” Spike said as he starts to follow her. He continues to follow her for a few seconds, which causes Starlight to feel a little uncomfortable. “Sooooo, yeah.” Starlight said. “You’ll be okay, right?” “Hey, I’m more trustful to leave home alone than you are, Starlight!” Spike teases her. “Ugh!” Starlight groans, but laughs a little in between the groans. “How many times are you going to remind me about my past? It’s getting a little old, don’t you think?” “Hey, I’m just messing with ya, sister! Come on, lighten up!” Spike laughs. “You think I do that just to bother you?” Starlight rolls her eyes in amusement and continues walking until she gets close to the stairs that leads into the foyer. In the middle of walking down the stairs, Starlight stops when Spike asks, “Are you sure you really want to go? I mean… it’s… a long trip! Plus, err, stage fright! Yeah, with Trixie performing in front of thousands and thousands of ponies, will it bother you?” Starlight gives Spike a smirk and says, “It’s really no big deal. Most of the attention is going to be on her anyway. I’m just going to help out with the advanced magic, is all! Also, I could take care of myself when it comes to long trips, Spike, but I really appreciate your concern!” Starlight finishes walking down the stairs and starts walking towards the front door. “When it comes to friends, they always come first!” “OW! OO! EE! OW! UGH!” Spike yelled. “OOOW!” Starlight gasped as she turned around and saw Spike lying down at the bottom of the stairs, and grasping tight on his ankle. Starlight runs over to Spike worryingly and asks, “Spike! Are you okay?!” “Ow! I tripped down the stairs, and I think I twisted my ankle!” Spike cried. “Ow! It hurts so bad!” “I need to take you to the hospital!” Starlight said as she was just about to pick him up. “NO!” Spike yells, which surprises her. “I mean… no.” He said nervously. “It’s really not that bad. I think if I just rest my ankle, I think I should be fine.” Starlight starts to feel worried for Spike. She asks, “Should I postpone my trip?” “No, no! Please, Starlight- ow!” Spike insists as he tries to stand up. “I think I’ll be, ow… just fine on my own- OW!” He collapses back on the floor. “Don’t let poor ol Spike keep you back.” Starlight immediately picks Spike up and places him on her back. “Don’t worry, Spike. I’ll stay here and take good care of you until you feel better.” “Are you sure you want to do this?” Spike asked. “Absolutely!” Starlight nodded. “Friends always come first! I’m sure Trixie won’t mind me joining her next week.” “I guess that’s okay.” Spike said as he smiled. “Thanks, Starlight!” “Any time, little buddy! Any time!” Starlight said as she started carrying Spike to his room so he can rest, but not before giving a mischievous smirk.
