Discord, being the Devil (or, more accurately, the Devil being Discord), but known as The Beast by the equestrians, rules Hell/Tartarus/whatever you want to call it... until the fallen angel gets tired of his position.

So he retired; choosing one of the many mortal worlds in Creation to move to. Though his family is keen on him returning to his position of Lord of Tartarus for the sake of cosmic balance, Discord just wants to enjoy life alongside his bodyguard and closest being, the demon Sunset.

A murder in the night club he owns sees him partnered with a peculiar detective of the Manehattan Police Department: Rainbow Dash. Intrigued by the uniqueness the pegasus possesses, they work together to catch the responsible.

Discord, having enjoyed the investigation, decides to keep solving crimes for the sake of punishing sinners (a guilty pleasure of his), while also trying to unravel Rainbow's secrets.

And so, a tale starts that will drag many characters, including Rainbow's daughter and the angel Selene in a spiral that risks falling out of control.

Because the Lightbringer is set on living free to choose his own path for the first time in his life, no matter if his Father the Maker, God Almighty, disagrees.
