~At Rarity's Boutique~
Screwball was nervous for the gala. She was thinking of bad ways she might make a fool out of herself. She was thinking too hard to notice that Dinky was calling her name multiple times.
"Screwball!!" Dinky exclaimed.
"Huh? What?" Screwball shook her head.
"I was trying to call you, but you weren't listening!"
"What is it?" Screwball asked.
"It's your turn to try on your dress."
"Oh..." Screwball said glumly. She didn't really want to go to the gala. She knew that nopony would dance with her. She went upstairs to find her parents and rarity.
"There you are darling!" Said Rarity. "Took you long enough..."
"Sorry..." Said Screwball.
"Well here's your dress." Rarity said as she levitated the dress to Screwball. Screwball's mouth dropped. "The girl's had the same reaction. So I guess you take a liking?"
Screwball nodded.
"Well try it on!" Screwball went to the changing room.
Once she tried it on she was blown away. It was red with a purple outline. It also had a yellow bow that was at waist and another yellow part at the neck. She also put a red headband on.
"Are you done in there darling?" Screwball heard Rarity say.
"Yes." Screwball said as she stepped out.
Rarity looked happy at her design for the dress. Fluttershy also looked happy. While Discord had his normal look.
"So Fluttershy, Discord. What do you think?" Rarity asked trotting towards them. While they talked, Screwball stared into space. She was thinking about this morning.
~FLASHBACK!~
Screwball and the others woke up early in the morning. Lightning Dash was first to notice something on the windowsill.
"Um... Screwy? Why is there a rose on the windowsill?"
"Hm? Oh! That... um. I don't know." Screwball looked over at Dinky. "Say nothing. Got it?"
Dinky nodded as she got out of bed. Screwball got up and walked to the windowsill. She picked up the rose in her hoof gently.
"Thank you, Mothball..." She whispered quietly. She walked over to her drawer and put it in there.
"So he did take the chocolate?" Dinky asked quietly with a smirk.
Screwball blushed. "Of course he did. I said he likes chocolate." Exclaimed Screwball.
"Girls! It's time to go to Rarity's!" Fluttershy said on the other side of the door.
"OK mom!" Screwball yelled.

The parents were done talking and walked over.
"So this dress is the one? Is there any problems with it?" Asked Rarity.
"No. It's fine." Screwball said.
"OK! So i'll wrap it up and you can go to the gala!"
Screwball went in the changing room and took it off.
~Later~
It was before the Grand Galloping Gala. Screwball was wearing her dress while looking in a mirror.
"Screwball were going to the gala now... Is something wrong?" Fluttershy asked.
"No, just scared." Said Screwball.
"Sweetie, there's nothing to be scared about. Your not going to make a fool out of yourself."
"How do you know?"
"Because your the daughter of chaos. And princess technically."
"Well that made me better..." Screwball grumbled and walked out of the room.
"Well, at least I tried." Fluttershy giggled and followed her out.
