Judgement
Load Full StoryNext ChapterYou walked into a hall of stained glass, a knife in your hand, a heart locket hung around your throat. Your hands were covered in dust.
A twinkling star with an air of finality to it drifted lazily infront of you, a sub-dimensional storage box next to it. You were ready. Your fight with Queen Celestia was likely to be the hardest yet.
*DETERMINATION filled you.
You walked down the hall, your head held high, eyes flitting over the remnants of great hero's great adventures.
Your eyes landed on an obstacle before you and domination.
"...hey." The short drake said, hands in his jackets pockets. A purple scarf was around his neck.
"You've been busy, huh...?" His eyes flittered around the room, the wind drifting through the air as a trail of dust flew by. His eyes landed on it for a brief moment before turning to rest on you.
"...so. I've got a question for you. Do you think even the worst person can change?" You said nothing in response.
"That's what she thought. She always saw the best in people. She thought, that..no matter how bad you were, Friendship could...could always save the day." He looked down, memories drifting into his mind and flickering in his eyes. Then they were replaced by the burning, unending wrath of hatred. True, intense hatred.
"A n d y o u k i l l e d h e r. His voice came directly from his soul, making no sound. It scared you more than any monster ever had, shudders running down your spine.
He took in a deep breath, his claws clenching into fists. He shut his eyes. "...here's a better question."
"Do you want to have a bad time? Cause, if you take another step forwards..." He trailed off, before his left eye burst into green flame. He stood up straight, and suddenly you realised exactly what you were looking at. A dragon.
"You are really not going to like what happens next." You ignored the horrible sensation on your back as you stepped forward defiantly. He stared at you for a moment, before laughing.
"Well...sorry moonbutt. This is why I don't like making promises."
Your soul, black with hate took form in front of you.
He looked up at the stained glass windows. "She really did good, didn't she? It's such a beautiful day outside...her birds are singing, her flowers are blooming...on days like these, kids like you..." His eyes went blank. "S h o u l d b e b u r n i n g i n t a r t a r u s."
Your soul turned dark blue, the pain of being smashed against the ground flooding into you. Pillars of flame erupted from the ground, consuming your soul. They bypassed your defenses, your armor. You leapt up into the air, narrowly avoiding the pillar of flames as claws shot out from the ceiling and floor in a wave pattern, slicing through your soul further. You only barely surprised, now face to face with four dragon heads. The drake was suspended over them, a smile on his face.
He snapped his fingers, and the world went blank.
You cannot give up! Stay determined!
You were unamused, to say the least. A look of irritation on your face, rage boiling within you. You didn't take any time with formalities, running over to the drake. He smiled at you.
"Hmm...you look frustrated at something. Heh...guess that training paid off."
He snapped his fingers. He gave his "flowers are blooming" speech before smashing you against the floor. You immediately jumped up, narrowly dodging the flame, a speck singing you. Karma seeped into your soul as you badly weaved through the claws, your soul taking a good amount of damage. When he snapped his fingers, you swerved to the side, your soul getting hit by one of the dragon heads flame attacks. More heads formed, shooting in a different position. Only barely surviving that, two even larger heads formed.
They shot out an eruption of green flame, and the world went blank.
You cannot give up! Stay determined!
You were very, very mad now. Storming over to the drake, you readied yourself for combat. You flawlessly dodged his first attack, bobbing through the claws somewhat sloppily before expertly dodging all the dragon head attacks.
He kept on smiling, and shrugged. "Yknow...I've always wondered why people didn't use their strongest attack first."
*You feel your sins crawling on your back.
Many, many resets later...
The drakes eyes shut, his weariness overcoming him.
*SPIKE THE DRAGON
* 1 ATK, 99 DEF
* Can only deal one damage. Tough scales.
You readied your knife, and swiped it down with all your might. At the very last instant, the drake's eyes snapped open. He swerved to the side, the knife narrowly missing.
"Didja real-" Slash.
His blood poured to the ground as he fell to his knees. He smiled, laughing bitterly. "...huh. Well...that's...that's that."
He looked upwards, his vision fogging. A purple hoof reached out to him. "Twi...I'm so cold...I think I'm go...gonna take a nap.." His eyes shut. He faded to dust.
You looked down. A menu formed infront of you. You could go back. You could stop all this. Or...you could continue. Finish what you started.
