Chapter one: I am here, but why?
“Ugh, my head”
I was just now waking up, head pounding for some reason. Last thing I remember doing last night was going to sleep in my tent, backpack and all my extra gadgets still on.
My name is Alex Duran. It was the year 2045. Technology had advanced over the years, but could not even get close to the tech in sci-fi movies. What I was equipped with now were prototypes of my own. And I’ve used them over the years, pretty much trying to work all the bugs out. if you thought about it, its like Halo, Batman, Lost Planet 2, and Assassins Creed put together in a few gadgets. An exoskeleton Suit, helps reduce damage of impacts, but id doesn't make me invulnerable. My Wrist hooks, name says all. and some other trinkets.
the only thing worth talking about is my giga boots. These babies were based off of 4th wall breaking abilities. not an easy thing to make, or to master. I'm just glad my head didn't blow up in the proses.
Also, im a brony. not one of the serious 'i buy toys' one, but i converted 12 of my friends to the heard. i call that a win.
I got up, and took a look at my surroundings. Then my mind sparked.
“Am I… in the Everfree Forest?” I asked out loud.
I wasn’t jumping for joy like most, because I thought if I came here, I would adjust to living, not seek out Mares for my own personal gain. If they liked me, then so be it. I wouldn’t care if they did. Yet, my mind will always have a place for the love I share for the Mane 6.
I started walking, finding the path quickly. Even if I had my gadgets, I felt too weak to activate them, making me walk.
After what felt like an hour of walking, I had to stop. I didn’t know how far it was until the entrance, but I couldn’t worry about that now. I was tired, so I pulled an emergency blanket from my bag, and made a makeshift pillow with the leaves all over the ground. Even if I was where most bronies would love to be, my mind was on one thought. “Get to Ponyville, or find Fluttershy’s cottage after rest”
“Fluttershy, are you sure this is an animal that lives in Equestria? I’ve never seen something like this before”
“Well… um… I'm not sure. That’s why I called you over, Twilight”
I still had my eyes closed, but I heard the voices I knew so well, even if I just awoke.
“Well, until it wakes up, I'm going to ask Princess Celestia if there is any more of his kind”
I finally decided it was time to introduce myself.
I opened my eyes and sat up, blinking the blurriness from my eyes. One thing I forgot to mention about my suit is it stealth mode, which is very useful, but annoying at times.
This is a situation where it was useful.
“Ok, Twi. I guess he won’t be harmful if he is asleep.” Fluttershy said
“Who said I would hurt anyone?” I asked, shutting down my armor’s stealth mode
This got me an ‘eep’ from Fluttershy, and a curious look from Twilight
I chuckled “I'm guessing you are curious as to know how I can talk, aren’t you?” I asked
Twilight walked over to me, eyeing me curiously. I did not mind, and as she eyed me over, I looked at my surroundings. I was a bit surprised to find myself in Fluttershy’s cottage.
“If you don’t mind me asking, how did I get here from the forest?” I asked
“Oh… um… that was me. I… I’m sorry if I did something wrong” Fluttershy answered
“No, it’s fine. In fact, I hoped somepony found me, cause I thought I was a goner” I said, using pony language to make them understand better.
“How can a Human understand our language?” Twilight asked
“Ah, so you do know of my species.” I replied in relief
It would have been harder if they didn’t know what I was
“Well, yes. I do know of your species, but very little. All I know is what you are called, and that your body forms are similar to the anthropomorphic ponies we have.”
Now I had a really good question “Have you ever thought of how these anthros came to be?” I asked Twilight
To my surprise, she sat there, thinking. This gave me a chance to look at here properly. She was what she looked like on the show, but was more realistic, like it wasn’t animated as much.
“Huh, so I'm really here, yet it is not as surprising as I thought it would be… but I think if I meet Pinkie that might change.” I thought, as I looked around the cottage
It was your basic 94 x 86 cottage, a 2 story, yet seems big enough for a family to live in here
“You know something; I’ve never gotten an answer to that same question.” I heard Twilight say at last
I decided to drop the bomb “well, I'm guessing Applejack, Rarity, Spike, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie will want to meet someone as intelligent as them.” I said
This made Twilight give me another curious, and fearful, look. “Ho… how do you…”
I cut her off “I think it would be better if I told all 7 of you at once, rather than repeatedly explaining myself” I explained
Then I had another question pop in my head “are any of you anthropomorphic?”
Twilight answered almost immediately “oh, yes. 3 of us are anthropomorphic. There’s Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. I wonder what it’s like being in their hooves.”
This time, I finally looked at Fluttershy proper, without haze in my eyes… and I felt my eye pop out of my head.
There stood Fluttershy, standing like a human, but still had her tail, mane, and yellow coat.
“Wow, uh… I never actually SAW an anthropomorphic pony before. All I’ve saw were fake pictures, but…” I trailed off, still looking at Fluttershy
This made Twilight giggle, and Fluttershy blush and hide behind her mane
I shook my head and looked away. I may be hard shelled, but I can be broken at simple things, like that.

“So, you’re a human from the planet Earth, you’re a vegan like many of us.” (Twi)
“Y’all made many of them contraptions.” (AJ)
“In your world, we are a cartoon, fictional show” (Pinkie)
“These gadgets of yours can make you do some Cool things” (RD)
“You are some type of person called a ‘Brony” (Rarity)
“And... um… you have never seen anthropomorphic ponies before.” (Fluttershy)
“Eyeup” I said, intimidating Big Macintosh
I spent the last hour or so explaining where I was from to The Mane 6… well… the Mane 3 anthropomorphic ponies and 3 non anthropomorphic ponies.
“Plus, I think I can explain you anthros” I said
“Well please tell us Darling, I'm dying to know” Rarity said
I chuckled “It might sound a bit farfetched, but it makes sense.”
“From what I gathered, this is not the same pony world shown on the cartoon. This would have to be another dimension. That was my first guess. This fan fiction I read, called “On a Cross and Arrow” helped me with that realization. And if you are wondering, that fan fic was a story when you went to an alternate dimension, where every colt was a mare, and every mare was a colt”
“That explains the Female human that was there.” Twi said
I looked at Twi “What human?” I asked curiously.
“There was a female human there, who acted and had the same things as you. The gadgets, hair, eye color”
I heard enough, I took my laptop out of my bag without thinking. (never left the house without it) and turned it on.
When it was done loading, my Email instantly came up, and opened an email on its own.
When I read the Email, I couldn’t believe my eyes
Dear Alex Duran,
I welcome you to our world. You were chosen to come here on the hope that you could do the impossible
The dimension from your fan fiction ‘On a Cross and Arrow’, I ask you to merge it with this one. The code for this dimension is 43.2 kilohertz
Also, I ask you to come to the Canterlot palace immediately, for I shall let you meet Alexandria, your female equivalent. This will need to be done from both dimensions in order to work.
I trust that you will come by yourself, for the Mane 6 cannot help you in this, but will love the results

“What? How can this be possible? There aren’t any laptops in Equestria besides mine” I asked out loud
Then I got another email. I opened it to this

I closed my laptop, now my head straining to understand what was about to happen. I was to combine 2 dimensions with the help of my female self.
I kept thinking of what could go wrong, then something dinged I'm my head
Pinkie Pie and Bubble Berry
These two could create a nuclear explosion in just one simple twist.
“You ok Sugarcube? You look as if Celestia just sent you some terrible news” AJ asked
I decided to jump right into it “You know Celestia’s sister, Luna?” I asked
They all nodded.
“Well, apparently she is Gamer Luna, using more advanced technology than what all of Ponyville has. This is a laptop, my world’s version of a portable library. You can use a system to send E-mails to each other, much like sending letters. And I just got one from Princess Celestia. She wants me to do something that would bring joy to you 6, but confusion to others.”
By Pinkie Pie’s eyes, I could tell what she might already knew
“I'm to combine two dimensions, this one… and the one you all went to.”
A/N: well, not much, but i change the beginning to make it look like Alex is a Mary Sue. i may be a new writer, but at least there are some who help me.

Chapter 2- The Delay, and the Revelation
A/N: I miss-wrote the A/N in the last chapter. It was supposed to say “...make Alex look like he wasn’t a Mary sue…” Sorry about that.
And, on another note, this fanfic has gotten some good reviews, and has had many favorites. So, I plan to repay you all back, by… PULLING THIS OUT OF HIATUS! That’s right, I'm back with plans. And, I have one very specific spot for an OC, can be pony or not, that I shall include. Who that will be is up to you.

(Alex’s POV)
“SHE ASKED WHAT?!” All six of them yelled at once, after I explained the e-mail. In Detail, I might add. I had to cover my ears a bit, for when they shout; it hurts like hell. Especially Flutters.
“I'm only telling you what I was told. Celestia wants me to combine the dimensions! And, plus, cause of the fanfic, I know who is who. Just, you really need to explain… you 6 WENT to that dimension?”
All six of them went silent; Even Pinkie, wearing a look of longing on her face. Then I understood. They longed for a return trip, missing those who they cared for so much.
“Ah… I get it… look, don’t say anything else. It will just complicate things. I’ll try to see if Celestia is for real or not, but, I'm sure I can work something out. Also, when I get back…Pinkie, me and you? We need to talk, alright? I’ll see you girls soon.”
As I said that, I packed what I had in my bag, and headed for the door. Too much surprise, Rainbow Dash stopped me in my tracks.
“No, something is off about you. I can sense it. Not the whole dimension thing. This is different…”
She took my bag off without warning, and instantly placed her hands on my shoulder-blades. Suddenly, I felt them snap a bit, and budge.
RD took a step back; her eyes wide open in shock. “No way… Alex, go. I have to tell the rest something!” Again, without warring, she put my bag on me, and shoved me out the door.
I just stood there for a moment, bewildered. I have ABSOLUTLY no idea what just happened. But, I shook it off. Then, with a quick blink, I left a trail of dust in my path, as I headed for Canterlot.
I forgot to say, I control my entire tech-suit with my own Neural Implants. I designed them myself, yes. But, heavens no, I wouldn’t do the surgery. I went to the hospital for that. It went without a hitched, and soon enough, the system booted up without anything wrong…Except for a missing component that I couldn’t find anywhere.
But, I shrugged that off as well, and speed up as I headed for the path that leads to Canterlot.
(Twilight’s Library, Third Person POV)
“HE IS WHAT?!” All of the others asked RD. What RD told them was more than ever, much a bigger shock.
“I'm telling you, I felt the pulse of wings! He isn’t just a human genius, he is an Anthro Pegasus!”
Twilight shook her head in disbelief. “That’s not possible! It can’t be! He is a human with a certified intelligence level and a bit abnormal, yes, but to be a secret Anthro Pegasus? It’s…Just not possible!”
As the others conversed, Pinkie Pie stood in front of the window, looking at the Trail of dust, which had faded, left by Alex.
“So… my long lost brother returns to Equestria… but, he… he's changed… Alex… Alex Tranity Pie… comes home…”
Several tears rolled down her pink cheeks. Not tears of sadness or anger; But, one of joy. All the proof that he was her lost brother was there. A former Anthro Pegasus, no doubt, and is smart enough to challenge Twilight.
Pinkie disappeared without a sound, back in her room at sugarcube corner. She walked out, and headed for the end of the hall. But, she walked into, and through the end of the hall, only to reappear on the other side. The wall was a portal, easily hidden to the Cakes. But Pinkie knew better. She trotted to the door at the end of the small corridor, and opened it.
The room was a simple room, with some drawing boards, blueprints, 2 desks, and a queen sized bed, but big enough for two. She went over to one of the desks, and picked up a letter she’s read so many times before; Signed by Celestia herself.
To Miss Pinkenema Dianne Pie,
It pains me deeply, and I mean this truthfully, to say that your brother can’t belong in this world much longer. With a danger spoken of before, He is vulnerable to the powers of chaos. I must send him to Earth, a world you have visited once, no doubt. If I do not do as such, his intelligence and broad brain can become that of which could be indirectly used for chaos, in massive amounts.
He will return, in time. I send this to you, even of your young age, because it will become clearer in the future. I wish to say, when her returns, not if. When. When he returns, he will think of where he is incorrectly. Tell the girls of the story “On a cross an Arrow”, one many foals have read. Tell them, once they meet Alex, they must be as believable as they can, and look like they are part of the story itself.
I wish to say more, but, as records indicate, you know more than I could. So, the rest is you to you to figure out.

Pinkie read this whenever she felt depressed, and smiled as she read it. She’s memorized every word, and knew so well what it could be. But, now…now she was a true Pinkie Pie, for her brother had come home. She knew her brother was loyal, but to transcend from Earth to Equestria on his own…she knew it was him…In the flesh.
She set down the letter, and then sighed, and then lay back on Alex’s bed. She had kept the room like it was when he left. The girls were as clueless as ever. They thought he really was a human. No… he was Pinkie’s brother. And… she was about to throw the biggest ‘Welcome Home’ party one could imagine.
“Now… how do I make the Pinkie Pie Cake, again?”
(Canterlot Throne Room, Alex’s POV)
I looked around in amazement. The room looked so much like the show, and then some. It was more, and I mean, MUCH more detailed then I first thought.
“Ah, Alex; Glad to see you are here.”
I looked up from where I was, and saw up the steps, the White Alicorn known to every brony very well.
“Princess Celestia, to what do I owe the honor?” I said with a bow.
Celestia smiled. “No need for formal introductions. I’ve summoned you, yes. But… not for you think.”
Alex stood up immediately, and looked at the goddess/ruler with a quizzical look. “Not for… wait, what?”
Celestia grinned, giving off no hints. “It’s more than what you can imagine…”
(Canterlot, Celestia’s Personal room, Midnight; Luna’s POV)
“Dear sister, you cannot have hoped for him to have accepted it right away. Did you HAVE to resort to memory flooding?”
I paced around the room at quite a fast pace. On one hand, I was worried for Alex’s safe being, for my sister really didn’t plan out Alex’s arrival to point. And on the other hand, I was to help him recover, and then bring him personally to Pinkie Pie, a job I do not think I will like.
“My lulu, you must calm down. Alex will wake up, and have many questions, yes. But, he should like you more than me at the moment, for what I did wasn’t the brightest, I know.”
I sighed. The extent of Alex’s state right now was stressful. He was to remain in a human body, since that can’t be modified by magic. He is also to have ALL memories, meaning human and Anthro. That is surely to cause some problems. The biggest worry is that no one bothered to tell him that heat season starts within a week. But, I guess they want Alex to be comfortable, before getting that far. But, with Pinkie… heavens, I don’t want to think about that.
--Several Hours later, Luna’s personal Room.—
“So, Alex, how are you feeling?” I said to the sick human. I knew the spell backfired a bit. It had made Alex sick, but not with a cold or flu. It made him just sick. That’s it, just sick…Nothing special; nothing dangerous.
“Better…. A bit… Its… it’s just so much to take in…”
“Would you like to talk about it?
“Y…yes… but, if you don’t mind. Please stay silent when I'm talking…”
I nodded, and lay down by his side. I was indeed Anthro, but he found that to not a huge surprise.
“I'm… I'm not sure how to start…. I have all memories… I'm Alex Tranity Pie, a sibling to one of the best ponies I know. And that’s both Human and Anthro talking. But, it seems that, even in both worlds, I did the same thing. Invent. Only, here, in Equestria, the tech I was making was not that of big tech, but of magic cores. How I continue to make things, even on Earth, it’s strange. Stranger being is I’m not… not used to this. I'm… I'm smart yes… but…. Not ready…”
“More importantly, I'm sure everypony and Anthro is being invited to a party by my sis. That…That will be awkward, but… I guess; if one thing is sure… it will become clear sometime… I need rest to clear my head…”
I sighed and got up, then started to walk over to the balcony. “I’ll be working tonight. Rest here, and then return to Ponyville in the morning. I will meet you there, for I have some business there as well.”
Once I knew Alex was asleep, I flew off into the distance. I hope we are both ready for what is to come.
