Sunset Shimmer was driving with Twilight sparkle in her new purple BMW. She was coming to a light as she looked around the empty intersection. Sunset Shimmer groaned, as she looked at text “Looks like homecoming has been canceled.”
Twilight replied, ‘No they couldn't. we just got the budget for it from the student council.”
Sunset Shimmer continued i angging rtone, “dear students i have to apologize for cancelling homecoming but due to numerous cases of the strange “rabies” that has been going around we have to keep student health in mind. from principal Celestia.”
Twilight sighed, “Rabies? i've heard about that but I didn’t expect it to shut down the dance.”
The light turned green as Twilight pressed the gas. Sunset groaned again,” they even canceled the homecoming game. Doesn't your brother still play for crystal high?’
Twilight giggled, “yeah then he went to the military a few years ago, i haven't seen him for a while. which is strange he usually at east calls or comes by before going on deployment.”
Sunset shrugs, “I have no idea why he would go to the army when he was offered a full ride to canterlot state.”
Twilight rolled, her eyes, “hell if I know, but he always wanted to join the military ever since I known him.”
Then they pulled into mild traffic as Twilight sighed, “I’m sorry Sunset Shimmer looks like we’ll be a bit late for class.”
She smiled, “No worries twilight, i'm sure dr whooves will give us a few minutes. your were elected student body president you should be proud. “
Twilight blushed “thanks im just trying to make new friends you know?”
Sunset Shimmer then looked out and saw ahbo with a sign that read “the end is near.”
She sighed, “i wonder how he ended up like that?”
Twilight looked out her window “Sometimes i wish i could fix all our problems with a snap of my fingers. but reality is we can't do much.”
Sunset shimmer looked back “well enough doom and gloom. So are you going to tell me about you and Flash?”
Twilight face became even more red, “I...I don't want to talk about that.”
then they continued down the road as Sunset asked,”oh come on Twilight just tell me are you two dating?””
Twilight turned to say something then out of nowhere a mustang smashed into her car and the last thing Twilight heard was a loud crash and silence only followed.
“Hey Twilight i got these flowers you know to make up for what happened. i know they suck but i just hope they’ll help you wake up.”
Twilight’s eyes fluttered as she looked up at the white clean ceiling above her she felt in her left arm and looked around to see a vase with dead flowers inside of it. She looked around and rasped, “sunset Shimmer? you there?”
No response came. Her hospital room was completely empty and everything was eerily quiet. she slowly got up and saw that the thing attached to her arm was an IV and saw that it had stopped working. She tugged on the cord trying pull herself up but collapsed to the ground she groaned as she shouted, “nurse! any one help!”
No one came and then she got up and took out the IV attached to her vain and she had to use the monitor as a crane to walk to the door. She then opened it to see that the entrance to her hospital room was blocked and that she looked around a dark hallway with flickering light going on and off. She walked through the dark hallway. She then gasped seeing the first sign was wrong. A nurse was torn apart her body was covered in blood and looked to be half eaten with clotting blood and flies buzzing around the corpse. Twilight held her mouth as she ran down the hall in the opposite direction. She then looked down the hallway to see groups of dead bodies and she saw a set of double doors with bars and chains covering the front with the front written in black paint “Don’t open the dead inside”
She then heard a groaning sound and the chains jingle. Twilight quickly went to the fire exti and started climbing down the steps not knowing what was going on all she wanted to do was get out of this hell. She then came out the back door to a site that made her realize that something really horrible happened here. rows upon rows of body bags lined the street with flies buzzing around them. She held her mouth and nose and slowly stepped over the corpses along the way she found a discarded bike and hopped on. she was now biking through the streets of her neighborhood. everything was still eerily quiet no sounds of traffic or people just dead silence with the occasional tank or military humvee standing empty and vacant she then parked her bike next to one of the humvees and opened the door. She gasped as he stepped back to see a dead soldier with a rifle pointed into his head and a blast hole at the top she climbed in and grabbed the m16 and strapped it to her back. She then took out the M9 from his side holster and climbed out of the vehicle. She then got back on her bike and peddled faster than before.
She soon came to her old house and threw the bike aside she climbed the steps and burst through the door she shouted, “mom! dad! spike! but no one answered her calls she looked around and saw that the house wa wreck with things thrown haphazardly over the place she went to her parents room to see drawers opened and things piled on the bed . she then sat down on the bed and started to cry she put her hands to her face and wailed . “They’re dead, they're dead. what the hell is happening!”
She slapped herself a few times “wake up! this is some nightmare! please wake up!”
She pulled her hair and pinched her skin until she bleed but nothing. she realised that this was no dream. this was real.
She slowly got up and wiped the tears from her eyes. She then went to her room and grabbed an extra pair of glasses and slipped on a teas shirt and jeans. she then went to the kitchen with a backpack and started to fill with leftover canned food mostly things like beans and bottled water. she then placed the side arm in the back of her jeans and took out the rifle and she opened the chamber to see that it was loaded. she then checked the safety and it off and went to the kitchen cabinets and climbed them to reached for a pair of keys in the back she then headed to the garage where she unlocked it and found an old silver sedan her brother’s car.
She drove the car down the road and luckily her brother filled it before he left. but still she was anxious to see what was going on she then came down the road to canterlot high she saw the gate was open and what she saw the tears enter her eyes once more. bodies littered the place and what was worse she saw someone walking around aimlessly among the dead. She got out off the car and ran towards him. She shouted “hey what's going on here!”
She then gasped seeing when the person turned . It was dr whooves but his face was torn off and his eyes were a sickly yellow, his skin was unnaturally pale and his hair was matted and his clothes ratted and full of blood stains. He shambled toward her groaning as Twilight raised the rifle slowly and trembled as she asked, “dr whooves it’s me twilight. “
He didn't recognize her and just moaned as he came closer. She loaded the bullet into the chamber and looked through the sights and shouted, “Dr whooves don't come closer if you're a friend just say something!”
He just continued to come forward as twilight took the shot shooting a shot through his head . with tears running down her cheeks she then remember the talk of “rabies” and the reports of people eating each other. She thought they were hoaxes she thought that his couldn't be possible but it is. She strapped the rifle back to her back and went into her brother’s car and pressed the gas slowly she thought, “if there was an outbreak then i have to head for Canterlot city. the government would of held refugees there.”

There it is. Atlanta" she said as her vehicle rolled inside an area of the highway that was littered with cars everywhere. All of them with windows broken, doors flung open and some with flat tires or even missing parts. Posters and leaflets flew in the window.
"Geez…" She murmured, looking over her shoulder the debris laying on the road. Thankfully, there were openings big enough for the car.
Lee gazed at the streets that approached them. It felt weird seeing some of those places he knew, bars, hotels, restaurants…once so lively now so dead and bleak.
When she had entered the first neighborhood of Atlanta, she started noticing some walkers. Not a lot, maybe five, some lingering in the alleys, other staring at the ground until they noticed the human presence.
When her car died groaning in frustration she got out deciding to go the rest of the way on foot her hunger slightly controlling her thoughts.
"Don't worry. They won't be able to catch up to me." Twi asserted to herself, looking around to make sure there weren't anymore zombies. Trying her best not to freak out
But when the she stepped into the next street, she were surprised by a gigantic herd of walkers. All of them had rotten flesh, milky eyes and roamed around with dragged and disastrous pacing. Their heads twitched with haste as they noticed the fresh meal brought to them.
"Oh shit, what does she do?" She questioned to herself, as she turned her head around and saw that more zombies were marching towards her from behind.
"I'm cornered!" She stated, realizing her predicament
She felt her leg get caught on something. She did her best to cling onto something, scratching around the creature's neck, but he began sliding down until gravity pulled her down. She began falling towards the ground, and the sudden and unexpected fall caused her to fall on her back, her nape hitting the floor.
His surroundings became stains of color and her hearing felt suppressed; her bones yelping in pain. He could listen to the repetitive groans emitting from the mouths of the dead and their dawdling shuffle. "Lee!" He heard Rick shout. She could hear several gun shots, along with the moaning and the moaning intensified. Lee knew one thing for sure; she wasn't gonna get eaten today.
He blinked multiple times before the world became lucid to her once more. She looked to her side and noted a walker strolling towards him, battering its jaws at the sight of the delish laying on the floor. Its head was deprived of any hair and his eyes were as grey as Pluton. Twi used her elbow to elevate her torso a bit, and with his right hand reached for the hatchet. With hurry, she took out the weapon, and just as the walker leaped on top of Lee, she swung the hatchet in the air, sending a devastating blow to its cranium.
He then saw a silhouette approaching her. At first she thought it was a lurker, so he readied the weapon, but then recognized the sheriff hat and badge. A unknown person was lending her hand to Twi. "I ain't letting someone get eaten today." She reassured, as Twi gripped her hand and surged in the air. "Especially a good friend."
She nodded, as she holstered her hatchet and removed her Glock 22 tight in his hand. The zombies were now dangerously close, and they had to escape now. Twilight instantly shifted her attention away when she saw the walkers devouring the two people who were beyond recognition. There were intestines everywhere, especially within the undead 's mouths, and they didn't mind the blood splattering on their face.
Twilight soared his arm and shot the nearest walker, sending its brains all over the air as its body slumped on the ground. The zombies all had variety; some with short hair, Mohawks, long hair, suits, punk clothes, sneakers, bare feet, people like them. But now it was time for Twi to try target practice.
She heightened her hands, clutching onto the gun with the index finger hovering near the trigger. He took aim through the notch at the nearest zombie; a bald dude with a Californian shirt. Closing one eye, he had no mercy and fired a bullet. The recoil was strong that the weapon almost struck his face and his ears were deafened. However, once she focused on the walker again she saw that the bullet had gone through its neck, but somehow it was still alive.
Inside the small passage, there were no walkers. It was a dark location, containing only a few dumpsters and trash cans.
"What the…!" Twi screamed when he felt hands wrapping around her. She shook his body away and turned around; her gun ready to shoot.
"Whoa, whoa, not dead!" The woman standing in front of Twi said with her arms in the air. She frowned his eyebrows and realized his mistake, as she lowered the gun. Twi halted in her tracks, seeing that it had been a human standing there in front of her
The girl appeared to be of city ethnicity. She wore a tight fitting sipped up jacket and had sweaty bright l electric blue hair. He bore a t-shirt along with jeans, and a backpack dangled around her shoulders.
"Who are you?" Rick enquired as she approached the white-skinned female. Acknowledging they were friendly, the guy set down her hands.
"I'm Glenn and I can get you out of here." She asserted as she looked around to verify that walkers hadn't followed them. "Follow me, and stop using those guns!"
Glenn began sprinting down the alley way with speed. She gazed at the new comer, wondering if she should follow him, but when they glanced behind them they spotted a wave of walkers bursting inside the alley. Going with Glenn was preferable…
Vinyl stopped beside a ladder, which she leaped onto to and started climbing in a furious momentum. Rick let Twilight go first, so the nerdy highschooler followed Vinyl right on her tail, the metal of the ladder echoing each time they laid a foot on it.
She jumped onto the roof, panting heavily while he leaned on her knees. Never had he seen such a large horde; and he came close to death that very day. That wasn't something he was gonna get by so quickly.
"Who the hell are you?" Vinyl questioned, as Twilight landed on the rooftop, sweating and essaying to control her breathing. Below that building they stood on, hundreds of walkers, releasing an unbearable stench were hoisting their claws in the air. They were too stupid to know that they weren't gonna manage to reach the humans.
"I'm Twilight" Twilight presented the herself, while gesturing to two-toned haired girl who was recomposing herself, "And you are?".
"Vinyl" was all she said.
"You brought the whole city on us with all that gunfire." Vinyl observed, peaking over the edge at the horde. "We gotta hurry, come with me."
"Wait, where are we going?" Twilight asked between breaths.
"We have a camp from outside Atlanta. But me along with some other guys are holing up in a pharmacy." Vinyl informed. She raced until she reached the border of the edifice, and then he majestically jumped in the air, light as a feather, before she arrived at the other side, making gravel fly in the air as his feet made friction with the floor.
"No! No freaking way." Twilight said out loud, drawing a cross in the air with the tip of his fingers.
"You're are gonna have to!" Vinyl voiced, making a shell with her hands around his mouth so he could heard all the way across. "All those buildings are filled with zombies, and there will be walkers waiting for us at the bottom of that one. There's no way out!"
"Goddamn it." Twilight muttered, as she took a few steps back and prepared for the jump.
She released a breath as she began crushing the floor each second with her feet. She ran up to the edge before his body glided in the air. For a split second she spotted a blur of the undead mob scrubbing their nails against the buildings' walls, before she fell on her knees on the other side.
"See? Wasn't hard. Now you librarian!" Vinyl instructed, helping her getting up.
"I'm coming!" Twilight adverted, as she walked backwards to get balance. She followed in Sugarcoat's footsteps as she dashed across the ground, and the air automatically exited her lungs when she flew in the atmosphere, not falling off by a few inches.
"Okay, now let's go you dumbass!" Vinyl commanded, before she walked up to a latch on the same building. He bowed down and opened it, as she stepped inside.
