"Twilight"
Pinkie walked into the throne room, deflated hair, and a sad grimace upon her face. She slowly walked up the the throne with the three balloons engraved onto it. She slumped onto it half crying.
"Pinkie, what's the matter?"
Twilight set down her book and stared Pinkie in her wet eyes.
"Something's missing from my life"
"Pinkie" Twilight spoke with a hint of concern in her voice.
"I'm not sure what it is but I need to find it"
"Yes well, sometimes the most complex of emotions can come from issues like these"
Twilight continued to look at Pinkie. Pinkie softly spoke under her breath. Making sure Twilight couldn't hear.
"Cheese Sandwich"
A certain part pony hopped along a path, his frizzy hair bounced behind him, a saddlebag on his side with a rubber chicken hanging out of it. He managed to jump high enough to touch a tree at one point. After a painfully long walk he looked to the left of the path. An engraved sign stood, it read.
PONYVILLE
Population, 4500
Pinkie sat in her room curled up into a ball. Something next to her, that something was the one thing she never used ... tissues.
Romance was a stupid concept, she had never needed it beforehand, but now look at her, why did her mind ache for a significant other so much.
The pony mentioned beforehand was hopping through Ponyville, once again with his frizzy hair bouncing around, once again with a rubber chicken hanging out of a saddle bag.
"I'M BACK!"
He shouted, to no reply.
It was then he noticed that the streets were entirely empty. Save for the odd filly.
"Hmm, Odd"
He reached behind in to his bag, seconds later ripping out a microphone.
"PINKIE! TWILIGHT! RAINBOW! APPLEJACK! FLUTTERSHY! RARITY!"
A filly trotted up besides him,
"Uhm, erm, they're all having, an, erm, meeting, in Twilys castle"
"C-castle!?"
"Haven't you heard, Princess Twilight Sparkle, princess of friendship?"
The filly pointed up a road, Cheese went down that same road. As he approached the castle he stared at it for a second.
The castle's cute ... like ... Pinkie
He shook his head. He had been having thoughts of Pinkie since the duo planned Rainbows birth-a-virsary. He knocked on the door.
Stop ... there is literally no way Pinkie could take an interest in me, I am just a travelling party planner, not some sort of ...
The door opened, abruptly stopping his train of thought.
Spike opened the door.
"Cheese?!"
"Oh, uhm, hi Spike!"
Cheese chuckled awkwardly. His eyes darted around the inside of the castle.
"So, n-nice castle"
"Oh yeah, it kinda appeared out of a box, weird"
Twilights voice echoed throughout the main hall, bouncing off the crystalline walls.
"Who is it spike?"
to which spike replied,
"You'll never guess who!"
Twilight walked out from behind a corner in a gala dress.
"Cheese!"
"Yes it is I your majesty"
"Twilight will do"
"Yes ... your majesty"
Twilight rolled her eyes.
"What brings you ponyville?"
"Came to see Pinkie"
"She lives at sugar cube corner, the cupcake bakery, you can't miss it"
"Why thank you your majesty"
Cheese giggled to himself as he trotted off. He snickered even more often as he continued down the path. He passed Rarity on the way.
"Well I never. Cheese sandwich!"
"What a fine evening wontcha say Rarity?"
"Certainly is, anyway, I better go, hey, you go see Pinkie, I think she would like to see you"
Rarity took a quick awkward cough and scuttled away.
Cheese hopped down the road and came eye to eye with Sugar cube Bakery.
Once again, the door opened and stopped his train of thought. But this time Pinkie stepped out. As soon as she saw him she blushed furiously.
They both giggled awkwardly at each other. Moments of silence passed before one had the courage to say something.
"You wa-want some mil-TEA, I said tea"
"Erm yeah ... why not?"
Pinkie and Cheese Sandwich sat opposite one another, holding a tea mug in one hand and having the other on the table.
"So, any parties recently"
"No, i'm kinda off celebration at the moment."

She swallowed what felt like a litre of saliva and mumbled a few words.
"Uh, I li -- you a lot"
"Hmm?"
"Do- don't worry"
Pinkie put on a fake smile.
She's not smiling ... look at her eyes
"Pinkie, can you tell me whats wrong?"
"Uh, I li -- you a lot"
"Please tell me"
"Ok ... I think you might be the thing that is missing in my life. I was wondering if you'd like to ... like to ... erm ... see a movie or something"
"Pardon?"
"Would you like to se-"
"Kiss me"
Pinkie stumbled back. Take astray by these words.
Your kidding me right?
All of a sudden Pinkie felt herself getting drawn to Cheese. A bright crystal heart rapidly spun around her head. She had unlocked the power of a higher friendship.
She had unlocked the power of ... love.
