Sunset Shimmer has been wrongfully accused of being the infamous secret-posting blogger, Anon-a-Miss, by all of Canterlot High, including her own friends. Believing there is no hope in clearing her name, Sunset decides to run away. She eventually finds herself lost and comes across a house in the middle of the woods where a young girl named Viola lives alone. Realizing that they both are outcasts, Sunset and Viola seemingly become close friends. Soon after, the true identity of Anon-a-Miss is revealed and Sunset's former friends begin searching for her in hopes of making amends. They soon find out that Viola is actually a cruel and manipulative witch named Ellen who steals the bodies of her victims to keep herself alive. They try to warn Sunset, but she is so hurt by their mistrust that she refuses to believe them. Can they convince Sunset that they are sorry and that her new friend is not what she seems, or will Ellen claim yet another poor victim?
