A Chat With Death And A Choice To Make
It was a cool spring morning, when Scootaloo life was cut short, it was sunny out, birds where chirping, and flowers were blooming. Scootaloo had just got done eating breakfast and She was heading out to go and hang out with her friends Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom. She took a short cut through an abandoned construction site. She though it was abandoned but then as she got half way through it she heard a noise. Snap went a steel beam as it had started to fall at a quick speed she knew that her life would end. She tried to run but the beam had crushed her leaving nothing but the sound of soft filly bones going crunch and a small puddle of blood to form underneath the steel beam. She had token her last breath before being crushed to death.
She floated above the beam and looked down at the puddle of blood forming and knew that she had made a mistake that had cost her her life. She heard voice coming from above as construction workers rushed to the beam and started working together to lift the support beam off the now dead filly. She seen her body it was in a horrible shape, bones where sticking out of places they should belong in, she noticed that her skull had been cracked open and seen bits of her brain scattered and some stuck onto the steel beam. The beam had been removed off of her body and she was mad because she knew it was not fair that she had died. The puddle of blood was now starting to go into the ground Scootaloo tried to call for the ponies standing next to her but she got no response. "Hey over here I am right here you goof."
She started to get worried that no pony could see her until she looked at the edge of the construction site and seen something moving along the path She floated past her body and went towards the moving figure. She floated next to the figures and seen that he was tall, with white pale hair and a dark mane he was just laying on the ground looking at a tree, he had a look of sadness in his eyes and pain that went deep with a light blue color, she noticed that he had a cutie mark of a tombstone and next to him on the ground lay a scythe. It had a book net to it and he picked it up. She seen that he had a scar above his left eyes and a couple more near his mouth. She tried to put her hooves on the ground to see if she could walk and with luck she could. She noticed that other ponies where walking through her. She watched the pony until she seen something that shocked her, a pony had walked through the one laying on the ground and straight through the tree too. She started to walk towards the stallion and he put down his book as she got closer and. He had a look to him that seemed comforting yet creepy.
She felt relaxed around him and as she got closer he took of his hood and cloak to revel a set of wings and a unicorn horn. She had read about this pony before and she looked a him and said "Abyss god of death". He looked at her calmly and she started to feel angered at him. She knew he was at fault for what happened to her. But he looked at her "Do not worry I don't bring ponies to their deaths only help them out after the die. I anwser some question they have and let them do what they please until they are read to cross over. You are young and unfortunate death but do not blame me for I am here only to help. I am able to see the truth in your heart and you hate me that I know I am always to blame as you can see but don't dwell on it and ask me anything you want little one, as you can see time does not affect the dead." She noticed that they where in the middle of nowhere but still next to the tree and he was yet still laying on the ground. She sat down net to him losing all of her anger towards him. He was right after all he was their to help the dead and anwser questions they had. She was curious on what she could ask "What is your age, Where did you come from, can other ponies see you, how did you get those scars, Why are you so calm, and can I get a second chance? she asked the questions that no pony else had asked. He had answered her in a calm and collect manor.
"My name is Abyss, I don't have an age I got these scars during a war between fighting life and death, only ponies that can see me sometimes are special ones who died like you, I am calm because I want to be and you may be able to get a second chance but first let me tell you a story." She looked happy at the thought of a second chance at life and smiled when he wanted to tell her a story. She asked "what story shall you tell me." He respond with a smile and said "The story of how I became what I am today shall we start." She shook her head and he started and the images of a pony started to pop into her head. "My name is Abyss but I was once alive I was the brother to a pony who fought me in a war. We were both on different sides of the army I was a good guy he was a bad one. He had been plotting to kill me since the beginning of the war.
We where fighting to protect our good king but a other ponies thought he had been king for to long and started to revolt. It was a sad war many ponies had died. It was my brother who killed me and I killed him as well. His name was Golden Sun and mine was Abyss. We went to battle and fought each other in the last battle near the end of the war. He had killed me with his sword covered in the blood of my friends. I had been filled with rage as he tried to kill me with one swoop of my sword I had killed him, his head rolled onto the ground and I laid next to him bleeding out on top of a hill listing to the last sounds of war. We had died beneath a tree.
After I died I was given a choice by Death to take his place and help my brother soul pass over or have his soul stay bound to earth. As you can see on what choice I made. That is my story now it is time for you to continue yours little angel." She looked surprised by what he said and then he gave her the choice "Do you want to stay here as an angel and help me with lost soul or go back to life?" She seemed stunned but what he had to offer her. And she responded with...."

Scootaloo looked at Abyss shocked by the offer he just made. To either become his angel and help guide lost souls or get a second chance at life She had been their for thousands of years and then she made her choice. She wanted to go back and live her life. She seen a tear fall down his cheek but he put on his best smile and leaned down and kissed her forehead and whispered "You will always be my little angel. She blushed and before she could speak she vanished and with that the world faded. Golden sun appeared next to his brother and gave him a choice too. he accepted the offer and was gone his brother now ruler over death.
Scootaloo woke to the noise of someone shouting "Get up Scootaloo Get Up please don't die on me Please!!!" She opened one eye slowly and seen Rainbow Dash and the rest of her friends all looking at her She felt pain in her legs as if they did not work. She was back and she opened up her other eye and said "Hi all and what happened?" They all looked at her and seen she had a cutie mark of a halo and she knew what that meant to her she was and will always will be an angel. The Doctor told her that her legs had been crushed but thanks to somepony pushing her out of the way she lived.
She looked over to see a face she knew who it was and he smiled. She had been saved by Abyss and he she thought it was all a dream until she felt right next to her a book. She picked it up and read the title to herself and blushed because on the title was two ponies one looked like he was older and was laying next to a tree on a hill the one next to him was a little filly who was smiling as if she knew something and then she started to read the title "MY LITTLE ANGEL" She blushed even harder and the other ponies noticed and asked if she was ok. She looked at them with a smile and said "Yes I am fine and happy to have meet some pony who help me realized something" "Whats that Scootaloo?" They all said. "That death can be painful but in the afterlife there is a special pony who is always calm and able to guide lost souls and anwser the questions of they have." All of their mouths had dropped and they started at amazement at what she just said and she could only smile as she got a second chance at life.
