Falling While Transforming Into a Pony
Twilight Midnight Sparkle laughed as she created hole after hole into Equestria. Others around her began falling into the large hole, only barely holding on to the edges. Anyone who hadn't fallen yet was helping up others, as they called for help.
"Help!" cried Lyra as she clung onto the edge of the hole.
She had been walking back from the water fountain when one of the holes had opened up right underneath her. She had managed to grab onto the edge with both hands, but was slowly slipping.
"Lyra!" cried Bon-Bon as she ran over, grabbing Lyra's hands, "Don't worry, you won't fall!"
Lyra began to pull herself up (with Bon-Bon's help, of course) when she heard a loud cracking noise.
"Bon-Bon, let go and get away!" she yelled, "Quickly!"
"Why?" asked Bon-Bon.
It was too late, as the ground underneath Bon-Bon's feet slipped away, becoming part of the portal. Bon-Bon quickly reached out with one of her hands and grabbed onto the edge, but was holding Lyra's hand as well.
"Bon-Bon, let go of me and pull yourself up!" said Lyra, trying to release her hand from Bon-Bon's grip.
"No way, Lyra! We're best friends! That means we stick with each other!"
Bon-Bon struggled to lift both herself and Lyra up with one hands, but felt her fingers slipping.
"Bon-Bon, I don't want you to fall!"
"And I won't!"
"Yes, you will! If I let go, you can grab on!"
"I won't!"
"Yes, you will-lllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!"
Bon-Bon felt Lyra's hand slip away from her, ans she automatically brought it up to grab on to the edge.
"Lyra!" she cried, about to let go when she was suddenly pulled up, and the portal disappeared.
Oh no!
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" yelled Lyra as she fell into a world of colors as began to spin, "What's going on?!?"
She closed her eyes, hoping for this nightmare to ends. Suddenly, Lyra found herself lying down on solid ground, and the colors and the spinning stopped instantly. She opened her eyes to see a unicorn standing in front of her with her mouth open in shock. Lyra realized that the unicorn looked a lot like herself, and also stared back with her mouth open.
"Um..." said Lyra, looking at the unicorn still, "Hi?"
The unicorn instantly ran from the room Lyra was in and shut the door behind her. Lyra stared at the door for a moment before getting up shakily onto her hands and feet. She was about to stand up fully when she saw the unicorn standing behind a pane of glass looking at her.
"Hi, again?"
Lyra frozen when the unicorn matched what she said, and then crawled closer to the glass. But it wasn't glass: it was a mirror. Lrya styed silent for a moment, before screaming.
"Bon-Bon! Bon-Bon!" cried Lyra as she ran downstairs, "There's somepony upstairs who looks just like me! I think it's a Changeling!"
Bon-Bon looked up from the bowl she had been mixing in as Lyra came running into the kitchen.
"Are you sure you weren't looking the mirror?" she asked calmly.
"I wasn't! They just suddenly appeared and was staring at me!"
Bono-Bon gave a sigh and started walking towards the stairs, "Come on, Lyra. Let's go check this out."
Lyra paused for a moment before starting to follow Bon-Bon up the stairs. Bon-Bon was about to open the door when a scream came from the other side, sounding exactly like Lyra's. Bon-Bon instantly opened the door to see another Lyra staring in the mirror, and she was the one who was screaming.
"I told you so!" said Lyra as she clamped other-Lyra's mouth shut with magic.
Other-Lyra turned towards Lyra and Bon-Bon, her eyes growing wide with fear. She slowly back away as Bon-Bon approached her, until she hit the wall and crouched down nervously.
"Alright, just who are you?" asked Bon-Bon, glaring at other-Lyra, and giving a nod towards Lyra to release her mouth.
"I-I'm..." said other-Lyra nervously, "I'm Lyra H-Heartstrings and I g-go to Canterlot High S-School, p-please don't hurt me!"
"Canterlot High School? I'm afraid that's not a real place. Now, why are you impersonating my friend Lyra?"
"I'm not impersonating her! And I don't even know where I am! I was at the school and it was the Friendship Games, and portals started to open up, and then I fell in, and Bon-Bon tried to help me, and-"
"Wait, did you say my name?"
"No, I said my friend's name! Her name is Bon-Bon and she's my best friend, but you do look like her! If she was a pony, and not a human..."
"Did you say human?" asked Lyra, walking up next to Bon-Bon.
"Lyra, please, not now!" said Bon-Bon, exasperated.
"Yes, I'm a human!" said other-Lyra, who was looking more and more nervous, "But now I'm a unicorn-wait a second; is this the place that Twilight Sparkle is from? Equestrian or something like that?"
Bon-Bon and Lyra looked at each other, then back to other-Lyra, who looked as if she was going to faint at any moment.
"You know Twilight?" asked Lyra.
"Yeah, she showed up at Canterlot High around the Spring Formal and stopped Sunset Shimmer with her friends, and then went back to 'her world'!"
"Sunset Shimmer? I think I know her! he went to the School for Gifted Unicorns when I was younger, but she ran away to a different world! Ooh, are you from that different world? I never knew it had humans in it!"
"Yes, I'm from that world!"
"So you are a human!"
"Um, yes..."
Other-Lyra backed into the corner of the room as Lyra walked closer to her with a large smile.
"Lyra!" said Bon-Bon sharply, "Stop it, you're scaring her!"
"Tell me all about humans!" said Lyra, muzzle-to-muzzle with other-Lyra, "I just loooooove humans! I've never seen one before, but I've always known that they're real! And now I can learn so much about them! Humans have hands, right?"
Bon-Bon walked up to Lyra and pushed her away from other-Lyra, "Are you okay?"
Other-Lyra simply nodded, glancing over at Lyra with a look of fear on her face.
"Lyra has a bit of an... obsession with humans. So you say you're from another world? How did you get here?"
"I fell into a portal and went through a world of colors. And then I ended up in here."
"And where's the portal you came out of?"
"I don't know, I think it vanished. Oh no! How am I going to get home if the portal's gone?"
"It's okay! I'm sure that Princess Twilight will know how to get you home!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm positive. We'll go and ask her as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure she's free tomorrow, so we can ask her then."
"What do I do until then?"
"You can stay with us! We have a guest bedroom you can stay in."
Other-Lyra glanced at Lyra again, before turning back towards Bon-Bon, "Okay. Thanks."
