The next exhibit interests Sunset too, the wild horse enclosure. She looks on with Fluttershy, but what they see is not what they expected to see. Out near the center of the field is a healthy stallion mounting a mare, Sunset is shocked at the sight, and a little aroused too. She gives chase, following Fluttershy to the closest girl's bathroom. She darts inside and Sunset follows, she catches a glimpse of her entering a stall and locking it behind her. Sunset steps in front of the stall, she can hear her softly crying inside.
"Fluttershy, I know you're in there, open the door so we can talk about this."
The lock clicks after a few moments of silence, the door then opens and Fluttershy steps out. Her eyes are glued to the floor, even as she sniffles and wipes her tears away.
"Hey, it's alright, I liked to watch the horses too." She says quietly.
"Y-you did?" Fluttershy looks up.
"Don't forget, I'm from Equestria, so I'm attracted to horses, even if here it would be a bad idea to act on it..." Her face grows red from admitting to her secret lust.
"O-oh yeah..." Fluttershy says, remembering where Sunset's from.
"C'mon, let's just look at some more animals."
With that Fluttershy manages calms down and they exit the bathroom together, they turn down the path, coming to the aviary almost right away. They enter the massive cage and look at all the brightly colored birds flying around, Fluttershy even names each one they see as they walk through it. On the other side an employee is seemingly waiting for them.
"There you are, we're ready for more help." The woman says.
"Oh? Already?" Fluttershy says.
The woman looks over a clip board, "Ok, we need someone in medical, all of our doctors are currently with one of our elephants."
"Oh, we can do that." Fluttershy says.
Sunset flashes an unsure smile, she didn't have any medical training outside of Band-Aids. The worker removes a piece of paper from her clipboard and hands it to Fluttershy, "There's not many sick or injured animals this week, but we're still understaffed, if you have any questions or problems find myself or another manager."
The girls nod and watch her walk away to coordinate other volunteers. Fluttershy takes the lead and heads to the medical pavilion, Sunset follows close behind before walking along side her.
"Fluttershy, I can't help these animals, I wouldn't even know what to do." She reasons.
"It's ok, I know what to do." Fluttershy responds confidently.
After a short walk they find the right building and head inside. The front room looks almost like a nurse's office, a first aid kit is even attached to the wall.
"The animals are in the back room." Fluttershy says.
They head into the back, the main area is open with a metal slab acting like a table, it looks sturdy enough to hold even a lion. Towards the back of the room are a few small cages for small animals, all of them are empty though. Fluttershy looks over the paper she was given.
"It looks like only a few animals need our help." She says.
"Uhh... where are they?" Sunset is still looking around but there's no sign of the animals.
"In the next room, they need bigger cages for some of the animals."
Fluttershy takes a key hanging from the wall, and unlocks a door, they pass inside and find the bigger cages. It doesn't take long to find the animals in need of help. A gazelle with a sprained leg, two wolves with a fever inside a separate cage, and a lion that ate something it shouldn't have in the largest cage in the back.
"Let's start with the gazelle." Fluttershy says, "Remember to be gentle."
Fluttershy steps up to the gazelle's cage and unlocks it, she pauses for a moment, "We need a medical bag."
They both turn back to the main room and look around, it doesn't take long to find the bright red bag with medical clearly written across it. Sunset takes the bag into the next room as Fluttershy steps into the cage. Sunset puts the bag down and starts to search it.
"We need a splint and bandages." Fluttershy tells her.
She finds the needed items and hands them to Fluttershy. The gazelle is trying to back away from her as she nears the injured leg, clearly afraid of her in it's weakened state.
"Shhh, shh, were here to help, don't be afraid..." She says softly to the wounded animal. She places the splint against the gazelles leg and wraps the bandages around it tightly. The gazelle then licks her face appreciatively after she's done. Fluttershy giggles and pushes it away as the tongue tickles her face.
They then stand up and leave the gazelle to rest and recover, "Ok, now the wolves."
"Are you sure we can handle them, and they wont... ya know, attack us?" Sunset says, concerned.
"It's ok Sunset, wolves are like dogs, just wild ones." Fluttershy replies, as though it would settle her mind.
Without saying anything Fluttershy walks over to a medical cabinet, full of labeled pill bottles. On the bottom shelf is a large bag that makes Sunset curious.
"What's in here?" Sunset asks as she pulls the bag out.
"Oh, that's a tranquilizer gun."
Sunset wonders why she knows that as she peeks inside the bag. Inside is indeed a tranquilizer, but if she hadn't known that beforehand, she would have thought it was an ordinary pistol.
"Sunset maybe just leave that alone..." She says as she looks down at the open bag.
The gears in her head start to turn, Sunset wanted, no needed that gun if she was going to subdue her other friends in case they got rowdy. But for now she closes the flap and sets it back inside the cabinet, at the same time Fluttershy finds what she was looking for. A pill bottle labeled, naproxen, she opens the cap and gets two pills out and puts the rest back.
"Ok we need to get them to eat these..." Fluttershy says holding the pills out.
She walks up to the cage, the wolves only glance her way before returning to their misery. She acts as though she was giving them a treat, smiling widely when they look up and move to the cage's edge. She tosses one of the pills through the bars of the cage, and the wolf eagerly swallows it, without even chewing. The other one shifts closer, expecting one for him to. She tosses the second pill to the other wolf and it swallows it just as eagerly.
"See? Just like a dog..." She says, "Ok n-now the.... lion."
"Fluttershy, I really don't think we should mess with the lion, wolves are one thing but that's a big lion, if something goes wrong we won't be able to get out of there in time." Sunset says fearfully.
"I-I guess your right..." She says, more disappointed than anything else.
Then from behind them a manager steps in, "There you are, the zoo is closing soon, have you finished up in here?"
"We didn't help the lion." Fluttershy says, pointing to it's cage.
"That's quite alright, I wouldn't have volunteers messing around with a lion, leave it to our doctors." He responds, "Be sure to put everything back once you ready to leave."
He steps out and leaves them to clean up, Fluttershy returns the medical bag to where they got it from, in the other room. Sunset glances at the cabinet, she wanted the gun in there. She moves over to the closet and opens, pulling the bag out and slinging it over her shoulder. She exits out the back of the building, being extra carful not to be spotted, but the walkways are all clear, she remembers that it's closing time so everyone is elsewhere. She moves towards the front of the zoo, looking around nervously the whole way. One she reaches the wolf exhibit she spots Fluttershy waving at her from behind her, she quickly stashes the bag inside a bush near the exhibit as she starts to sprint towards her.
"-There you are, why did you leave me back there?" Fluttershy looks hurt and out of breath.
"I thought you had already left?" She says, hoping she would believe her.
"I would never leave you behind, I'm sorry you thought that..." She says, sounding very apologetic and a little hurt.
"I'm sorry, I guess I'm not very good at this whole 'friendship' thing..." She says, convincingly enough.
Fluttershy's eyes widen at her choice of words, "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean it like that!" She says, seeking approval from Sunset.
She opens her mouth to say something but is cut off by a loud, "Fluttershy!" Coming from their side.
A girl around their age runs up to them, wearing lime green overalls and dirt-covered gloves over her hands.
"Oh, hey rose." Fluttershy says to her.
"It's good I caught up to you, I could use some help planting some trees, think you can help me out?" She asks.
"Oh, umm... I think we were about to leave...." Fluttershy says gently.
"It's alright, I can head back on my own, go ahead and help her." Sunset says.
With the pressure from both of her friends, Fluttershy feels she has no choice but to agree and walk with Rose towards the back of the zoo. Sunset waits for them to vanish from view before retrieving the satchel with the tranq-gun from the bushes. She darts across the walkway and into an area with thick brush, she follows along the zoo's wall within the brush until voices can be heard. She stops and remains silent, listening to whoever it might be. The voices are obviously two older people, she peeks through the brush to see the manager's from earlier.
"-I don't know who could have taken it." The male manager says.
"Well we need to find out who, it would be an awful tragedy if someone needed to subdue an aggressive animal with out it..." The female manager says.
Sunset only hears a little of what they are talking about before their out of ear-shot. She assumes they are referring to the tranquilizer she took, she sighs and turns back to walk along the wall some more. She eventually spots Fluttershy and Rose out in a patch of a field where the wall can be seen. There are at least nine holes in a line along the wall, likely a recent addition to the zoo's size. She turns to the girls, they are both slowly lowering a small tree into one of the holes. Once it's in place they pick up shovels, Rose has a long two-handed one, while Fluttershy is using a smaller one-handed shovel. They fill in the empty space around the tree's base and pack it down slightly.
Rose then speaks up, "I can't thank you enough for helping me, but I have to ask.... Why are you hanging around Sunset Shimmer?"
Fluttershy looks away for a moment, "I don't really know.... Rarity convinced me to help her change but I can't help but feel she's not really trying to change herself..."
"Have you told her yet?" Rose asks, leaning on the shovel.
"N-no... I don't know how to tell her, she just see's her as a victim... oh!" Her hands cover her mouth quickly, she accidentally told her secret a little.
Sunset scowls, she was telling Rose about her... distaste for her step-parents.
"What do you mean, 'victim'?" Rose asks, curious.
"Oh it's just that.... she was abused by her foster parents...." She says softly, "Just please keep it to yourself, I just know she would be mad if she found out I told you."
Rose nods in agreement before offering a hand to help Fluttershy up. They then step over to the next hole to set the next tree in it's new home.
Sunset's eyes start to twitch with anger, she thought she could trust Fluttershy with a secret, but she was wrong. All she can think about is making her regret her blabbermouth. She glares at both of them from the thick brush, entertaining ideas about making them pay. She remembers the tranquillizer she stole and sets the bag on the ground, she opens the flap and starts to look through it.
She pulls the tranquillizer out first, she looks over it, it looks like a regular handgun but with a modified barrel to instead fire darts. She places it down and looks into the bag again, this time she finds a small black wristband with four loops for holding darts. She slips it onto her left wrist and looks for the darts, at the bottom she finds a black plastic case, inside are the darts, at least twelve be her count. She slides four into the loops of her armband, and one more into the chamber. She takes a moment to look down the sights to get a better feel for it.
By the time she looks up, Rose and Fluttershy are packing the last tree with dirt. She brings the gun up, aiming for Fluttershy. She gulps hard and starts to pant before squeezing the release, but it doesn't move. She shakes it a little before squeezing it again, still nothing she looks to the gun's side and sees it has a safety mode, and it's on. She flips the little switch and brings it up to aim again, but before she fires she can hear them talking again.
"I still don't trust Sunset, I don't think she will ever change." Rose says.
"Well... maybe just give her one more chance?" Fluttershy asks.
"I don't know, I wouldn't give her the time of day," Rose says, "Are you going to be alright heading back on your own?"
"Yeah, I'll be alright." Fluttershy says back.
"Ok, I need to go then, see at you at school?" Rose says.
"See you at school." Fluttershy says.
With that Rose walks off, leaving Fluttershy alone in the patch of grass. She notices a bag laying on a bench, she walks over to it and looks inside. The bag is full of various gardening supplies, she assumes it was Rose's and slings the hefty bag over her shoulder to take it back to where it needed to go. Sunset then makes her shot, the dart flies right towards her target. Fluttershy yelps as it connects with her back, she reaches around to feel what pinched her. She looks to the dart confused before wobbling, she sits down, trying to stable herself before she passes out. Sunset grins, she actually got her. She exits the brush and casually walks over to her sleeping friend. She looks over her lithe form, her long pink hair almost covers her radiant face. She sits down next to her and takes the bag from her. She sets it aside and roots around in it, though most of it is nothing of interest, the sturdy cable-ties are perfect for this situation, she pulls out a large bundle and sets them aside before discarding the bag in the nearest trashcan.
Next she moves onto Fluttershy, she slides her white tank-top off and then pulls her skirt down, she also removes her boots and socks leaving her nude, save for her undergarments. She drags Fluttershy over to the nearest lamp-post and uses a cable-tie to keep her arms wrapped around the post. She gather up her clothes and places them on the bench. She then retrieves the Tranquillizer and it's satchel. She then sits down on the bench with the satchel next to her and pulls her phone out and starts to flip through the pictures of Rainbow and Applejack from yesterday. "Stand up!" Sunset orders.

She paces back and forth, fuming in anger thinking about what to do. "Lean over the edge." Sunset commands.
"B-but w-what if I-I fall in?!?" Fluttershy exclaims.
Sunset sighs and takes two cable-ties from her pocket. The first ties Fluttershy's wrists together again, and the other is tied to the safety railing around the exhibit.
"Now, lean. Over. The. Edge." Sunset says slowly.
Fluttershy shakily moves closer and starts to bend over, she places her fore-arms on the cold railing and takes them away immediately.

"Y-your power? A-at the fall formal?" Fluttershy asks.
"Bingo, you got it, now you win a prize." Sunset says menacingly.
"Y-your going to let me go?" Fluttershy asks hopefully.
"No." Sunset says calmly.
Sunset then wraps an arm under Fluttershy's leg, then the other one and starts to heft her up over the edge, Sunset's face turns redder under the exertion as she manages to use the bar to her advantage to push her over the edge.
"No! No, please!" Fluttershy cries out as she moves forward.
Fluttershy's fear of falling in is clear as she screams and flails as gravity starts to take over, pulling her down. While Sunset thinks about it, the wolves in the enclosure have taken notice of what's going on, several have come out of their sleeping area to investigate the commotion.
