What The Nether Happened To "Love Is Blind"?
I Have Such Good Friends (NOT!)
Previous Chapter~RECAP!~~ The last thing I hear is Twilight muttering: "What have you done now?"
When I wake up in the morning, I find myself in bed, with fresh clothes on. Dinnerbone is currently licking the tear tracks off my face. So it was a dream. I think. I yawn and sit up. The blanket covers are twisted around my hooves, and my pillow is on the floor. My hoof slices across something, and pain bursts into reality jerking me from my half-asleep state. The dagger... I remember last night. I look at the dagger. Besides my crimson fresh blood on the blade, there is also corroded dark-red blood matting the dagger. My eyes dilate without me knowing, and I grit my teeth. So it wasn't a dream... I think. Something moves of its own accord, and reaches for the bandages I always keep on my nightstand. Wrapping my hoof, I stand and stretch.
Changing into suitable for traveling, I slip downstairs, where Twilight is eating breakfast. I levitate a piece of bread and walk out the door. I promised my friend Rhonda that I would go over to her house to tell her what happened over the week. We haven't met in a few months. I walk out, and almost trip over the tripwire she has installed. It's to fool zombies, although I told her the iron door would keep them out.
Walking to Rhonda's house is a long way because she lives right past a dungeon. I have to go through that thing every time, and it's like a maze. So even though I think I've destroyed all the spawners, there's a new area spewing out zombies. But this time is quicker. The dungeon has apparently despawned, so this shortens my journey by 15 minutes.
By the time I arrive at Rhonda's house, the sun is high up in the sky, and I am carefully navigating the tripwires and Redstone pressure plates that line her house. I accidentally step on one, and that raises obsidian around me and TNT falls down. Luckily, I am wearing my enchanted diamond gear, so it doesn't hurt me much. Rhonda looks in through the obsidian glass lining the trap and cracks a smile when she sees that it is me. Quickly, using her efficiency 2 pickaxes, she breaks me out and lets me into her house.
"So... first: I'm sorry for almost blowing you up... and if I'd gotten your armor, I totally would have saved it for you. And the rest of your stuff too."
The smile on her face makes me think that she would not have saved my stuff, but would instead have kept it for herself. I narrow my eyes and smile.
"How are you?" I ask.
"Oh the usual, exploding creepers, disappearing blocks, glitches, mining, eating, sleeping... Just like a normal minecraftian."
"Sounds like you had a better week than me, anyways."
"What do you mean? I thought you were perfectly fine, as you always say when you come over."
"Not exactly. Have you ever heard of sarcasm, girl?"
"No. What is this sarcasm you speak of?"
"Whatever." I roll my eyes. Rhonda. Sarcastic as always. But my distracted look sends Rhonda into 'Person-Who-Notices-Everything' mode.
"Sooo, got any invitations from any creepy guys? Or got blown up by a creeper?" I blanched. How had Rhonda hit the answer so close?
"Did you send me that note...?" I ask suspiciously.
"So you admit there was a creepy note!" Rhonda exclaims, apparently excited.
"Did you send it?"
"Nope"
"Are you sure about that?" I ask.
"Yep." Rhonda says.
"Remember, I recognize your writing," I say.
"I do know that, but if it was my writing, you would have told me to cut it out already. Straight to the point, always." Rhonda points out."I also know that you have a few different styles of handwriting."
But you know what they look like, so then... it doesn't make much of a difference.:
"But you could have developed a new style... I never know..."
"That's true... but seriously, who sent it?"
"So you promise you didn't send it?"
"Yes. What do I have to say to make you believe me?"
"Fine." I heave a sigh and sit at a table, and Rhonda slides into the chair next to me.
"Just... out with it already. Tell me what happened. I deserve to know, OK?" Rhonda sits, looking at me.
"OK, OK, OK. Fine. So I got this letter from a person who signed his name "H". They told me to meet them at that oak tree in the back of my house, you know, the one we found when we were five?" I say, glancing over at me. Rhonda nods. (A/N OK. Rhonda, the character, is an actual person in the human world, and she is also my friend, and yes, she does have a photographic memory.)
"So then, I got another note, which told me not to bring any weapons, and some reminders. So I went that night and saw no one. So I thought it was you who'd pulled a prank on me because you can write like anyone. Then I ran straight into his arms, which was followed by screaming, extricating, stabbing, kissing, and running. So yeah. You can imagine how that went. But I can't imagine anyone surviving for long with a punctured lung." I shudder, thinking what would happen to me if I went around with a punctured lung. I'd probably bleed to dead from the inside, and then the lung would have collapsed... and then.... I'd... die.
"OK. You know that guy won't be hindered by a punctured lung, and he'll probably never stop stalking you like a creepy guy. So... I'd say this is a good time to leave, like, run away, right?" Rhonda pushes for more information, although I do not give it to her.
"Nah." He's going to find me wherever I go." I spit bitterly. My life has been just fine before the freak swooped in and ruined it. And now I was probably going to have to go into hiding for the rest of my life, and then have him find me and I dunno, capture me?
"I mean, you could stay here if you wanted," Rhonda says, sort of unsure.
"I don't want to put you in danger, I'd better go." I have to go restock on coal anyways."
" Alright. If anything worthwhile happens, come straight here. I'll get Lavina and Christy to come
over too."
"I'll bring Rina."
"See you around, then." Rhonda shoves me out the door, and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah. See you around." I sigh. I turn to leave, when something drops to the ground in front of me, tied up with spider's string. I open the note. Nether parchment again. Herobrine... I think.
Hello, Y/N. It's me again. I hope you don't hold grudges, because I am asking you to meet me again, and if you do not go, then I will personally come find you.

This isn't weird at all. I mean, it's happened before. I tuck the note into my backpack, and make a mental reminder. I sprint home, and Twilight is standing in front of the door, her hands crossed.
"You've been out for three hours. You said you'd only be out for one."
"You never told me anything!" I protest.
"Shush. Get in the house." Twilight pushes me into the house, and then turns and whispers, "Did you get a note?"
"Yes."
"Was it from him?" Twilight asks. She looks around carefully.
"Yes," I mutter.
"Did you go?"
"Yes."
"Fine. Keep going. I don't want anything bad to happen to either of us, or Notch help you, you will not survive the night." Twilight looks me in the eye.
"Fine. I will." I turn around and start walking up the oak stairs. "I got another one today." I slam the door to my room and hear Twilight swearing to Notch.
Nothing really eventful happens after that, and so I spend my time in my room practicing my targeting skills. I eventually hear my internal clock going U gotta leave, Rena. So I pick up my bag and walk out. The dagger is still in it.
