Super Thanks for actually clicking on this chapter, usually people don't care what other people think. Usually.

Anyways, first things first, I believe the Fluttercord would be the kind of ship that needs a lot of preparation in order for it to set sail. And because Discord is on board, most of the storms the ship sails through will be generated because of him (ie. he's the cause of a LOT of issues [ex. him being immortal and not Fluttershy]). Otherwise it generally moves extremely slow, even Discord can't change the speed (no matter how much he wants to later on)

For those of you who read this far, reading ahead will allow you to understand the background of the stories and a few spoilers too!

So, a lot of people have been shipping Celestia and Discord, now I don't approve of this ship. However, I am also NOT a die-hard fan of MLP, I simply love the characters and the stories and the novel idea of Friendship and magic. So if L.Faust has approved of it somehow someway, or there were some subtle signs, or an official comic that dictates that the ship is valid, then I will hold no argument.

Some reasoning behind my thinking, Discord and Celestia dislike the other, and really, why shouldn't they? There are plenty of reasons why Celestia would dislike Discord and the other way around.

Celestia would probably be haunted by the past, I'm going to go on a whim here and assume that she and her sister Luna are close to being Gods. She and her sister can never die because their roles are so important (like it's ridiculous how important they are), and if every pony across the decades (since the beginning of time) is truly unique, then they can't ever be replaced by another. Which means Celestia will always be raising the sun, and Luna will always nurture and look after the dream relm (and raise the moon of course). This means that in all her time being alive Discord's rule over Equestria was one truly horrible and terrible. If the villians wiki is correct, then it is safe to say that Discord, when truly evil, has a sadistic streak. Celestia would've watched and witnessed Discord purposely harm others just for his enjoyment.

Luna's corruption might've been his fault, and this is just my little piece of head canon here (which reminds me... what does canon even mean anyway?). I mean think about it carefully, Discord was able to corrupt the main six, so wouldn't it be logical if he probably tried to do the same to Luna? In fact I've got the whole thing mapped out. Celestia and Luna realize they have the power to defeat Discord, Luna attempts to defeat him using her dominion over the dream realm (or at least find his motives, or location, etc.). However Discord tells Luna a few disturbing things, now this is where it gets confusing because now two things could've happened: one Luna creates the tantabus which grows stronger over time, OR Discord places a small fraction of something (i.e. dust or a tiny tantabus) but similar to the seeds he planted, it doesn't activate until Luna removes her elements of harmony.

Uh, Discord ain't forgetting that 'being trapped in stone' slop, I mean dude, seriously, if we consider the timeline, he's been trapped in there for like, millennia, if not more! He's been trapped in there for longer than Luna had been on the moon (and look at how positively pissed she was)! Seriously. God of Chaos. Trapped. Alone. In solitude. No fun. No games. No pony to keep him even slightly entertained. He'd be pissed beyond pissed, he'd probably create an entire new level of 'pissed off'. But point is, he's far far farrrrr away from having any romantic thoughts about Celestia. I mean perhaps there could be like, some non-con ideas, but that's probably as far as he, and she, are willing (Celestia not so much) to go.

SO! What does this all mean anyway!? I thought we were here for some fluttercord! Well dear reader (if you even got this far and actually read and understood everything before this sentence) then that whole argument was to say that in all my story snippets involving Discord and Fluttershy, there will be NO past experience for Discord. He don't know what it's like to love, and he sure as hell doesn't realize he's in love until something happens. And it's going to have to be spelled out for him, similar to when he first became friends with 'Shutterfly' (is there some fic out there where fluttercord child is named Shutterfly? That would be clever and hilarious!).

AND NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF! Well, not good for you, or maybe it might be, I dunno you, whatever, I'm just going to go ahead and justify why Fluttercord is legit:moustache:

So, like the lonely loner that I am, I searched up stuff about relationships (and honestly I would be proud if it was purely for research...but it wasn't. So. I suck.) and then I used my (high school level) knowledge of psychology to draw this simple conclusion: Fluttershy actually means a whole lot to Discord. And it's very easy for someone who doesn't know about close relationships to mistake love as friendship and the other way around (trust me, I've lived through it).  So if we look at episodes like "Make new friends but keep Discord", it's obvious that Discord is rather, possessive, of Fluttershy's time, attention, and company. He is closest to her, and frequently visits her (he probably doesn't even do sleepovers...yet) and shares letters, and is basically her lap dog (I can just see the drool already man...). She's stood up for him, defended him, opened the doors to many other friendships for him, and she cares and looks after him when no pony else can. She's his guardian, friend, and key to another world he never had access to. And it's a fact. Anyone can see that she is his BFF. So from his side, fluttercord seems like as easy-to-grasp concept. It's like fluttercord is the roof and the facts mentioned above is the ladder. I just happened to put the ladder up to the roof.

BUT (and here's where I personally find issues with), from Fluttershy's perspective, it's very...iffy. I mean the times where she's stood up for him could lead to her having at least a small glimmer of attraction towards him (like: Hey, this is the guy I'm gonna be dating, and he's the best and he's so good-guy-like, and prince of all fairy tales, don't you dare point that nasty crooked finger at him!) . But I can't ignore the rest of the time. And in all honesty (don't tell Discord this but) I get the feeling that she treats him like all her critter friends. I mean, yeah sure, of course she loves them (and therefore him) but it's like a motherly kind of love. He gets sick, "awww, nurse the little baby back to health". People blame him for some crime (he may or may not have committed), "I trust him with my life! Back off!". He's being a dumb baby, "you stop that right now young man!!!" (then she proceeds to correct him if necessary). And the problem with that kind of love is... It's just. It's very hard to get your mom to have the hots for you, you know what I mean? It's a bonus that Fluttershy isn't related to Discord (who was probably either created or had mortal parents or his parents didn't give two shits about him [and he really wanted some shit] ), but she sees herself that way in relation to Discord.

Hmm, what's that? Why did I bring in Discord's creation? Well, whether or not you asked that question, I'm giving you the answer anyways!

The thing is, Fluttery's friendship would've meant diddly squat if he'd known what it was like to be loved. I'm going to go on a whim here (I go on a lot of whims) and assume he, at some point, realized no pony cared for him and then he went bat-shit evil and got all sadistic and screwy. He was still Chaos before he went evil, but at that small amount of time, he was vulnerable, new to the world, didn't know what Equestria held in store for him. So when he relieved himself to others and was dismayed by their reaction, he had become evil (NOTE: Read Frankenstein).

Now, just because Fluttershy doesn't have strong evidence of even a semblance of attraction towards Discord, doesn't mean it can't be created. Hence, story time!
