Vinyl and Octavia's Nature Walk
It was the end of an evening. The stars were out, the crickets were chirping. It looks as if it was the end of a beautiful night.
And on this night, it was another night of romance for Vinyl and Octavia. The two of them have been happily dating ever since the events of the Battle of the Bands and the Friendship Games, and neither of them couldn't be any happier. And for tomorrow it would be a big day for them because they would be heading on a bus with their classmates over to Camp Everfree since they raised enough cash for the trip. Needless to say they were both excited.
"Oh Vinyl, I'm so excited!" Octavia cooed as they were in the car on the road in the night.
"Me too Tavi. Me too." Vinyl smiled to her girlfriend.
As they were driving in Vinyl's car down the open road, their hair was blowing back due to the wind.
"What do you want to do while we're there?" Octavia asked.
"I don't know really. I guess I'm just happy we're gonna have some peace away from all of the magic for once." Vinyl replied. As much fun as she had helping the Rainbooms battle against the Sirens, she was actually very terrified to even be looking at the powerful villains.
"Me too." Octavia replied.
After 30 more minutes of driving, Vinyl's Wub Machine finally stopped in front of Octavia's house, and the two exited out of the car and Vinyl walked with Octavia to the front door.
"Thank you for another great night Vinyl." Octavia smiled.
Vinyl blushed. Octavia was the just the best.
"Aw, thank you Octy." Vinyl smiled back.
Both of them looked into each others eyes and both gave each other a passionate kiss, and hugged for the longest time. So long that Vinyl didn't let go.
"Vinyl come on." Octavia said as she pulled out from the hug, making Vinyl give a pouty look.
"Octy..." Vinyl whined.
"Vinyl, we'll be back together tomorrow."
"I don't know how long I can wait for you." Vinyl said.
"Vinyl." Octavia as she held onto Vinyl's hands. "I promise we'll get to hang out together some more tomorrow."
Vinyl looked away and then looked back to her lover with a weak smile on her face. "Okay. I suppose I can wait for a bit."
"I know you can Vinyl." Octavia said as she gave her girlfriend another kiss. "Goodnight Vinyl."
"Night Tavi." As Vinyl said as she began to walk over to her car and watched as Octavia closed the door.
Vinyl glanced back at her home one more time and then drove off in her brightly colored car, going back to her home and to rest for a new day.
It was 6:30 AM, and Vinyl had already gotten up. She stood up facing herself in the mirror in her clothes for the camp and was brushing her hair into its normal wacky style. She then placed her purple shades on her face smirking.
"Looking good today Vinyl." She said to herself.
She walked downstairs and got herself a cup of orange juice and sat down at her table with her bowl of cereal and began eating as fast as a lion. She couldn't wait to get to get on that bus and sit with her one and only Octavia. She couldn't stand the thought of not being with her.
So she quickly finished her food, ran up the stairs in a jiffy, brushed her teeth, rinsed, and rushed down the stairs only to trip and fall and hit herself, slamming against the floorboards and onto the concrete tiles.
"Ow..." Vinyl winced as she slowly got up from the pain.
Vinyl moved herself back up on her feet, and froze for a moment. She knew she was forgetting something.
"Shoot! I almost forgot!" Vinyl exclaimed.
This time she walked up the stairs not wanting to go through the same pain again, and entered her room grabbing a box wrapped up in wrapping paper.
"Whew... don't want to forget it." Vinyl said wiping the sweat off of her forehead.
She then put the present in her bags, and slowly dragged it across the floor down the stairs. The amount of weight in the bag almost made her fall back just trying to carry it.
"How can... it...weigh...this....much!?" Vinyl complained.
By some miracle, she managed to make it down the stairs with her belongings and somehow got out the door. She put her bags down and crouched a bit holding onto her knees trying to cool down for a moment and swiped the sweat off her forehead.
She looked through the bags one last time and found she had everything she needed. She felt an odd vibration going off on the side of her shorts, realizing that her phone was buzzing. She pulled it out and found Octavia's phone number across the screen. She looks as if she was trying to call her.
Vinyl answered the phone, and held it to her ear. "Hey Tavi, morning."
"Morning Vinyl. I'm already on the bus. It should be getting over to your stop any minute now." Octavia said on the other end.
Vinyl looked to the right and saw the bus for Camp Everfree had came at the most convenient time. She knew right away it was for her because she could see some of her classmates near the windows, either sleeping or talking to one another.
The door slid open and she was greeted by Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna. She then walked over to the back where Octavia had saved a seat for her. She sat down and then snuggled next to her as the bus drove off again.
"Oh Tavi... " Vinyl cooed.
Octavia leaned her head against Vinyl's shoulder and moved in close. She could feel the warmness in Vinyl's heart.
"A whole month without having to deal with any form of magic or danger. It'll be nice to take a break from danger for a while." Octavia said.
"You said it." Vinyl replied.
Their attention was soon grabbed to hearing Principal Celestia making an announcement. Luckily for them it wasn't of any importance, she was just thanking them for raising enough cash to go on the school trip. Once she finished, Vinyl looked over to Octavia who fell asleep. She must have been up incredibly early again. Vinyl simply just pulled out a blanket she shoved into her backpack with her and put it over Octavia allowing her to go back to sleep.

This is a gift I wanted to leave my buddy Nordryd. He's an amazing friend, and is probably one of my best friends on this site. And because I appreciate his stories and how he's allowing me to make a collaboration story with him, I thought I'd make this story out for him. Hope you enjoy it buddy!
