A platoon of VDF Personnel awake from a thousand-years' stasis, dazed and confused.

The Year is 3557. Humanity's spark has burnt out.


The VDF-UNSC conflict has saved, and killed millions of people, innocent, and not, since it's beginning in 2492. It's lasted for about a hundred and thirty years. Now, the Vanguard Defense Force is breaking apart, piece by piece.

It's final, longest, most memorable battle has passed…

The Vanguard lost. Their entire remaining fleet has been destroyed, or crippled.

A single VDF Marine Corps cadet awakens after her supposed "Death", a thousand (give or take) years after the end of this conflict, though, as it did for most of the Vanguard soldiers, trouble followed her to Equis.

She is left with a dysfunctional AI, and the occasionally intact ruins of the VDF fleet that had crashed…

All she had as she ventured this Brave New World…
