Rise of the Human Revolution
Another March
Previous ChapterNext ChapterJapan- 1557. Warring states period.
Northern Japan....
Nagai Eizo Rode on his horse in the middle of his small army. Thinking on how weak his Clan has become. Weakened by his fathers many wars with their neighbors and by internal squabbles, His Once great clan is nothing but a shadow of his former self, only able to muster an army of 10,000 men, and most of which are simply Ashigaru with a yari spear or bow. Only about 3,000 of which are of the samurai class, armed with a Katana, bow, and Yari. And there are only 1500 of their famed cavalry left. Most being killed or fleeing in a recent battle.
But he can't think about this now, he still has 10,000 men ready to defend his clan from the invading force. Marching south to reclaim a fortress that was captured not too long ago by his long time rivals to his south, Seeing that the fort was only manned by 23 men he was not surprised that it fell within a day. Especially against an army that numbered around 30,000 men. He would be up against an army 3x his size and most likely battle hardened, as his enemy down south usually were.
He knows its a losing fight, but like many others before him, he will fight to the death. But maybe he can squeeze victory out of this certain defeat. He ponders about how he might do that, that he fails to notice that the sky, once covered by clouds, has opened up above them, letting in sunlight through. Many of Nagai's Men look up to see this and believe it to be a blessing that they might win this battle, that is, until the clouds start swirling. The whole army stops to stare up into the sky, wind blowing quickly and heavily, knocking some men who were off balance down. Even Nagai is ripped from his thoughts and looks up to question why everyone has stopped.
"What is going on?" One of his bodyguards to his left asks him, expecting an answer that nobody can give.
"I do not know, but I think it would be best to get out of here as quickly as poss-" Nagai is cut off by a massive thunderbolt striking the ground to the right of his army, and another, and another Bolt striking the ground. The men begin to panic and run in all directions, even some of the Samurai succumb to fear, but as the scar's of the lighting touching the ground begin to form a circle, any men trying to leave are quickly shocked to death by a smaller bolt of lightning, Stopping any other attempts to get out. The horses seem unnaturally calm though, even as these massive bolts land mere feet away from one, they seem to not notice, but that phenomenon goes noticed by few as the majority are too fearful of being struck by lightning.
Fear takes place in all the hearts of the men in the army. Each one flinching when another lightning bolt strike the ground to finish the outline of a circle around them. Then it all stops. The clouds stop spinning and lightning stops coming down from the heavens. Everything seems calm. Too calm. 1 minute passes and nothing happens, then 2, then 3 and everyone seems to think it is over. But when one man attempts to leave the circle, A Bright flash of light is seen, and everything goes white.
Later, when scouts attempt to find their clan leader and the army that was supposed to be defending their lands, all they find is a black circle in the ground on a road in the woods....
Canterlot, 20 Seconds later...
Celestia is working on the daily paperwork. Boring paperwork that she hates but must accomplish for the sake of her ponies. She simply does not trust the nobles to accomplish this for the good of their heart. But she is interrupted from her paperwork by a massive magic drainage, similar to the one that was caused not too long ago with he failed mass teleport spell. And in the same place. Her Quills and papers drop due to the magic being absent from her body for a short time. Realizing what has happened. Once her magic comes back, she quickly writes to shining and Blueblood about the the position of the disturbance, no doubt that they felt it.
"This is not good, not good at all." Celestia mutters to herself as she quickly writes a message to shining armor and teleporting it to him.
"I hope shining will figure out how to deal with this."
Temporary Royal Guard Encampment- Ponyville outskirts. Blueblood's Personal Tent...
"And that is why we need to be careful when we look for the enemy, send scouts, march slowly. So-" Shining says as he is cut off
"Please shining, i know you were promoted from a minor Sargent to a Captain but you must remember that i was at the top of my class in the Canterlot military academy. Which is no easy task if i do say so myself" Blueblood boasts annoyingly. "And not only that but Auntie Celestia put me in charge of this mission to destroy these pesky humans playing soldier."
"Actually the nobles put you in charge, not Celestia, and further more, they aren't just slaves with spears. They know how to fight and are organized. I had my doubts about them when i met them but that all faded when they slaughtered 700 guards and not lost a single one of their own."
"Please Captain Shining, they are just humans, and are no match for an army with a third of it made up of unicorns. Not only that but Ponyville's garrison were barely trained and simply conscripts at best." Blueblood Explains while shining his enchanted gem encrusted sword. "Also, they didn't have many unicorns or pegassi to assist them. So it wasn't very surprising when they lost."
"Look Blueblood, you need to see-"
"No you need to listen to your Commanding officer Shining, now please leave me be, My personal chief should be done with my dinner soon and i do not need you stressing me out more" BB Says with a huff.
Shining stands up to leave the tent when a massive Drainage of magic, Similar to the one that caused this mess in the first place, Sucks all the magic from equestria once more and Shining, Blueblood and many unicorns, pegassi and earth ponies alike fall due to losing their internal magic.
As Shining and many others stand up, Blueblood quickly Yells at shining.
"What in Celestia's name was that?!" Yells Blueblood to shining, Expecting him to have all the answers.
"I think that was another result of a failed mass teleportation spell that could've brought the Humans here in the first place... And if that first one brought those humans here... There is no telling what they brought now." Shining says.
Roman 9th Legion Fort. Middle of Whitetail Woods.
Vesperianus is interrogation a few captured guards, some of the more weak willed ones, with a handful of legionnaires to get useful information such as tactics, weapons and materials for armor. It is currently going well until the guards collapse and groan before standing up in a weakened state.
"What happened to them?" Vesperianus asks nobody in particular. "They look like someone just kicked them in the balls."
"Uugh this happened last night-" Guard holds in a vomit. "right before you guys showed up" The guard says before throwing up on the ground.
"Hmm so if this happened when we got here.. maybe it happened to another legion.." Vesperianus looks at his fellow Legionnaires and they look at eachother thinking the exact same thing. 'Maybe we weren't the only ones transported here'.
"Quickly men, we need some scouts to go back to where we started out. GO!" Vesperianus orders. Quickly the legionnaires go to get a group of 20 Cavalrymen to gallop towards the spot where they started out. Following the trail that the legion's march left on the grass and shrubs.
Vesperianus decides to not tell the rest of the legion about this, to not get their hopes up, and to avoid celebrations that may waste many supplies they have. Heading to his Personal tent to take a small rest, for this day has been more stressful than he anticipated....
A few miles from the Roman Fort.
In a quiet field, Reminiscent of a previous army waking up here and marching, leaving a trail of footsteps to a road not too far off from this large field. Its quiet. Too quiet. Soon, a magical lightning bolt strikes the center of a field as a mass teleportation spell transports a certain Army from Japan to this field. One Bright flash of light and out of nowhere 10,000 Men and 1,500 Horses appear, all unconscious and laying down but alive.
Minutes later They start waking up.. one by one wake up until Nagai wakes up, In quite a panicked way. Springing up only to see a mostly unconscious army surrounding him, with a few men of his awake and waking their comrades.
"Ugh what happened" Nagai says to nobody in particular, Grabbing his spear and sword that he dropped and goes to help wake up the rest of his army. But as he walks around he notices that there is a trail of footsteps leading away form here. Not only that but the trees here are completely foreign, nothing like the trees in Japan. He shakes his head and chocks that up to the fact that he knows little about plants. He has bigger issues, Mainly the captured fort and to find out what happened to them.
After 15 minutes of waking up the army in a hurried manner, the army is lined up in front of their Clan leader, awaiting orders. As Nagai is about to start ordering his troops he hears faint clopping of hooves coming closer, fast. The troops immediately get into battle formations as a group of 20 Men on horses, clad in red, ride into the clearing. They stare at the Horsemen as they stare back. Quickly the lead horseman speaks up.
"Who here is your leader?"
"That would be me, and who might you be?" Nagai asks the mysterious horseman.
"I am Seranchi, Centurion of the 9th legion, You need to come with us, quickly." Seranchi states.
"And why should we?" Nagai Says. Something about that title was familiar, but now is not the time to quell on that. "We don't know where you will lead us to, nor who your allegiances are to. How do we know you wont lead us into an ambush?"
"Because you need to know whats going on. What brought you here? A fire circle?"
Nagai was confused but slightly shocked as well. As this person also apparently seen something involving fire to bring him to this place. Similar to their experience with the lightning. Though that could only be coincidence. That or they could've seen the lightning.
"What do you mean by 'need to know whats going on'." Questions Nagai
"Look i don't wanna say it in front of the troops yet, they may panic, especially weak willed ones." Whispers Seranchi to Nagai.
"Alright i will trust you for now, But you will stay right in front of me, if we get ambushed, ill slice your head off."
"Noted, Now follow us." The horsemen slowly gather at the trail leading to the path.
Soon the Army of Nagai is in order and prepared to deal with an ambush as they march while following the Horsemen to a trail. While Seranchi rides along Nagai, Quietly talking to each other.
"So please tell me where we are." Nagai wisperes to Seranchi
"We are not on earth, that's the start."
"What do you mean by that? How can we not be on earth?"
"I do not know, me and my legion have only been here a day and we found out many things. but i do not know most of the details, My commander will tell you everything when we meet up with them."
"Fine, i expect answers though."
"You will get them, in time. By the way, i never got your name?"
"My name is Nagai Eizo, But call me Nagai, I prefer it shortened."
"My name is Seranchi, Nice to meet you." He holds his hand over to Nagai which he happily shakes with a smile.
"How long until we get there?" Nagai asks
"At this speed, about an hour."
"So about those details you were gonna tell me about...."
