//-------------------------------------------------------// Big Mac the Bachelor -by frostgiant- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// You'r not Granny //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Now I don't feel I did my best but I'm hoping you guys will love it regardless and if you do I can promise you more chapters You'r not Granny Like any other day at the farm Big Mac, was hard at work hauling apples back and forth. Today was no different then any other besides the fact that he was alone. Applejack had other matters to attend to so she had quickly done her part and left him to finish it off. Apple bloom, Hadn't come back yet and granny Apple, was sick in bed. "Now that's how you do it," Big mac congratulated himself. "It's a shame no one was here to see that. I'v never moved so fast in my life." The large man step away from his load, a miniature mountain of apples, a nice days work. "Maybe I should stay and wait, Apple jack said she'd be back later to do the rest of the work herself but." He began to take an apple when a thought reminded him of what he was told, "Although… She did tell me not to and to treat myself afterwards." Big mac Shrugging his shoulders decided it was best to just leave and turned for the barn singing under his breathe about drinking Apple cider when he heard a thud and looked back quickly startled. "Is someone here?" He was afraid, he hated when people heard him sing. "It can't be the farm animals there all down for the count, and i'm the only person on the farm besides Granny and she should be sick in bed… Unless." Big Mac started running around the barn frantic hoping that the crazy old women hadn't gotten out of bed again, she was to old and to sick to be doing this and he was worried. Then he heard the thud again. He turned his attention to the mountain like pile of apples he had personally stacked and quickly began to panic. "Oh no! oh no! oh no! Please don't tell me I buried her under Three hundred pounds of Apples! He franticly thew fruit after fruit to the floor, wall, and ceiling trying to make a hole to rescue her while insulting himself for not noticing sooner. "Dammit Big mac you idiot," He started, "You've done a lot of stupid things but killing granny is by far the worst! How am I gonna explain this to Apple jack!? Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know I was slowly KILLING GRANNY. And Apple Bloom, dear Celestia how am I going to tell her I buried her grandma! As his thoughts became worse and darker by the second he finally had done it. He had his proof, someone was under the pile of apples but it wasn't granny, she didn't have a glowing horn. "What the?" He questioned himself. "That's not granny" His confusion quickly turned back into that of panic. While it not being granny is good in all it still didn't change the fact that he had buried someone. And what's worse is that this would more likely turn into a murder story then just some simple accident. However, his assumptions were soon dismissed by a rather happy scene. The apples were moving! "Just hold on!" He shouted. "I'll get you out of there as soon as possible!" After a short moment of continued digging, he had finally freed the girl he had imprisoned. "About time you did that!" She scolded him. "Do you know how LONG I was under there!? "Big Mac stood speechless. He didn't know what to think. Obviously he was relieved that she was safe but it was who he had just saved that puzzled him, "… Trixie?" He stuttered. "IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF!" The tiny in comparison girl yelled still furious. "YOU COULD'VE KILLED ME!" "I'm sorry, I really am! If I had know that anybody was in here the-" He stopped himself realizing the real mystery. "Wait. Why ARE you here? I thought you were banned from ponyvill after that last fiasco you started." She backed away slightly lowering her voice in surprise. "Well I was uh, you see it, I can explain but…. Hey I told everyone that wasn't my fault." "So what, Pinkie's pie cart just suddenly exploded." Trixie looked down at her feet. "…I was just trying to help her." They stood silent for a few moments, neither one of the two really knowing what to say next. Trixie looked up at Big Mac trying to gain eye contact to no success, he was too busy trying to avoid eye contact. He did however sneak a quick glance at her. Big Mac couldn't help but notice the beauty of the trouble maker standing in front of him. He liked what he saw. After he thought about her for a moment he realized that while not the best person he had ever met she was still one of the best looking, and while constantly driving everyone around her crazy she had always had a way of making him secretly laugh. "So," Big Mac trying to restart conversation. "Why are you in here?" She looked up at him, sadness written over her face. "Does it matter, You'r still going to throw me out anyways, so whats the point. I'll just let myself out and save you the trouble, at least I can't screw that up." Trixie dragged past him, a tear forming in her eyes heading for the doors of the barn. "Oh crap!" Big Mac thought to himself, "I don't want her to leave, at least not like this. c'mon dumb ass think of something." Then like clockwork an ideal came to him so he ran in front of her blocking her sought way out. "Oh no you don't." He said with a slight smile on his face. "The great and powerful Trixie, can help me a lot if she decided to help clean up this mess." "I don't feel Great or powerful, and what are you talking about?" She asked puzzled turning around, "What mess-" Trixie had been so absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't notice the barn looked like an apple tornado had ripped through the place. "Did I have something to do with this?" She asked feeling nostalgic. Big mac laughed and grabbed a set of cleaning supplies. "How do you think I got you from under their so fast?" __________________________________________________________________________________________________ After about two hours of cleaning they were finally finished. Trixie put away the cleaning supplies or what was left of it back were Big Mac had taken it from while he went off to the back of the barn. While she sat alone on the hay stack Trixie smiled thinking about the last two hours she had just spent with the more talkative than usual large man. To her it seemed like he was trying to cheer her up and if he was it was working. She could barley remember the reason she was sad or why she was in the barn for that matter. But she did. It made her feel miserable all over again and just before she went back into her self loathing thoughts Big Mac Came back out holding two empty cups and a bottle of apple cider. "Apple Cider?" He gestured to the drink in his hand. "Yes, thank you." She said sounding down. Of course he had noticed the quick change in mood and immediately tried to correct it. "I leave for just a minute and ya get all said on me again." He said with a little more farm boy in his voice. "C'on now, I know ya cant resist laughing at ma country soundin voice, it makes ya somethin kinda happy now doesn't it?" She started giggling a little to her surprise and said "Ok you got me just stop with the voice." "Alright." he eased, pouring the drinks "Now can you tell me why your so sad?" "I don't know?" Trixie playing with her feet retorted. "Its a long story and I don't want to be a bother." Big Mac sat beside her on the hay stack trying to reassure her. "Don't worry about it. You were really good with those cleaning spells and with out that I wouldn't have been stuck in here all night. What I'm saying is I owe you one." "It's nothing," She shrugged. "I've had a lot of practice." Trixie started or at least tried to tell him what was wrong but was still to afraid. "Big Mac?" She Mumbled. "Are you sure you don't mind?" "No I don't." He said sipping some of his drink. "And please, call me Macintosh." //-------------------------------------------------------// Just stay here tonight //-------------------------------------------------------// Just stay here tonight Nightfall had come, the farm still quiet, the animals still sleeping. AppleJack nor Apple Bloom had been by. If they were back from their outings then they must be at the house over the fields. Inside the barn however things weren't so quite. Between the barns weirdly smelling aroma of smashed apples and the cider that had gone to Trixie's head, the two of them were still inside enjoying themselves all while forgetting the outside world completely. Big Mac's flirting or what he would refer to as his way of wooing didn't do any more to help the situation. The Drinks he insisted pouring glass after glass did. Another hour after their last two had past, Big Mac had finally loosened her up to properly explain why she had decided to sleep in their barn. Trixie stood, leaving a small dent were her and her savior had made a cozy little spot in the hay stack. "Well you see Macintosh," She said standing trying to hide her struggle of doing so, "I Have been disowned. So it seems after so many failed attempts of success, my family has finally got fed up with me and has thrown me out to fend for my self." Big Mac stood in surprise, not wanting to believe what he just heard could even happen. "Thats Horrible! I'm so sorry." "No, It's alright." She smirked at him putting on a brave face. "It's for the best really. I haven't really been on good terms with them since I first left to become THE GREAT AND POWERFUL %TRIXIE!%" "Why not?" He question. Trixie turned to face the wall showing Macintosh her back, he in response tried his best not to stare at her too much to her knowledge. He couldn't really takes his eyes off her and kept thinking how the back looked almost as good as the front. "It has always been my dream to be a famous person seen throughout Equestria for my magical feats. But as everyone can tell, i'm not as good as most people when it comes to magic. So… My family… mostly my parents have never really approved of my dream." "That must have been very hard for you," Macintosh suddenly putting a hand on her rather delicate shoulder comforting her, "You were brave to follow you're dream like you did, you must have been very afraid to go off on you're own like that." She laughed a little at his comment. "You mis understand. I was terrified to be leaving but I wasn't alone. You see when I left I was with a group of my closest friends. All together we were an unbeatable act. No one could top us. But destiny as cheesy as this sounds had different plans for us. One by one we were either picked up by some talent scout, became an apprentice to some other magician, or realized we couldn't make it in the world and went home to seek a more oriented way of living. I of course, was unable to return home. No one scouted me. And the one man who WOULD take me as a student, deemed me worthless and refused to teach nor shelter me any longer." A moment passed before any response was made, then suddenly Macintosh blurted out not thinking, "Wow you're life sucks." He instantly covered his mouth to keep him self from insulting her further. "I'm sorry! It just slipped out!" Both Trixie's hands covered her mouth. Before Macintosh could correct himself he heard laughing. Trixie had sturdied herself on him and was attempting not to fall over from her sudden burst of joy. "No it's okay." She reassured him, "It's just the first time i've heard such an… honest reply when I tell that story. Macintosh stepped closer to her. "So you're not mad." "Of course not," She giggled. "I'm very use to people thinking that way, they've never said it out loud or directly to me but i'm glad you did… it was insultingly kind of you." The oversized man let out the breath he was holding in relaxing himself, now certain or nearly certain that he hadn't offended her. "Well i'm glad I could cheer you up at the very least, but you still haven't told me why you decided to sleep in my barn." "Right," Trixie began after settling down. "but first let me ask you a question," "Sure what is?" He asked. "How do you think I got the funds to do all my little magic acts?" "I don't know. Where?" As she started pacing back and forth getting ready to tell another long story Macintosh sat back in the pile of hay and grabbed his drink. "My father oh course. When ever I wanted to put on a show for all to see, I would contact him saying I had a fool proof way to launch my career. They still loved me so he was more than happy to help but my request became more demanding. Now there almost bankrupt and they've been convinced by my own mother to discredit me in order to save whats left of the family fortune." Trixie sat down next to Macintosh, resting herself against him taking a breather but continuing right after. "I't wasn't so bad at first, but then I found myself having to fund my own projects and then paying out of pocket when something went wrong during one of my shows… Which is often. Eventually I ran out of money and with it options. So my last choice was to help random people in the street and hope they were kind enough to repay me. I saw Pinkie having trouble with her pie cart and tried to help but my %light as a feather% spell made her cart explode. When I tried to explain myself I was chased away. At first I just wondered place to place looking for somewhere to rest and came across the barn house. I thought I could at least lay my head down a couple hours but then you dumped a pile of apples on my head." The story didn't astound him as much as he thought considering things could have been worse. While she looked up at him from where she sat leaned on his chest Macintosh began contemplating his next course of action. He had, to his standers a rather cute girl now homeless, cashless, and in need of help hidden in his barn. He could just ask her to leave, abandoning her on her own. But what if he didn't, what if he chose to help. "Macintosh?" Trixie called out regaining Big Mac's attention. "Are you ok, I didn't freak you out to much with the story did I?" "No. I was just thinking." He responded. "What?" She questioned back. "Why don't you stay here tonight?" Macintosh now sitting up straight serious. Trixie couldn't believe it. She was ecstatic yet defensive. "Do you really mean it. Because if you're just messing with me then I can go." Big Mac, laughed at the comment. "I'm serious. You need a place to stay for the night at least, and you seem a bit… tipsy after tree glass of cider. If I let you leave now, I'd feel responsible for anything that might happen to you after you left. Trixie, stared in disbelief jaw almost dropping. "Just stay here tonight. In the morning I'll come get you and we'll see if we can't get you situated properly." She nearly jumped up from were she sat but then instead hugged Macintosh in a deep embrace. Neither said anything. When she looked up at him finally pulling away, Macintosh had his eyes glued to hers unable to turn away. After a second he didn't care anymore, he wanted to kiss her and did. She didn't pull away, in fact she returned the gesture. When they did come apart Macintosh, leap out of his seat as if his pants were on fire. Trixie, followed suit, doing the same after finally coming to her senses. "I-I need to go." Big Mac turned heading for the doors. Trixie, pleaded him to stop but did so to late. He was already out the door and no doubt running back to his house for the rest of the night. Thinking back on it he kept telling himself it was just the apple cider going to his head as well as Trixie's but he knew that wasn't the truth. Every fiber of his being begged him to do that, to do more. Trixie stood alone in the lifeless barn stunned. After painful, one to another thoughts rampaging through her mind she decided that the possibility of her and Big Mac together was just that, a possibility. She couldn't get the ideal out of her head about how this had ever happened. A stuck up wanna be rich girl falling for a farm boy. The thought made her crazy. She spent what felt like an eternity fussing over it until she just couldn't any longer. whether it was the long day, the drinks in her system, or the recent event's that had transpired, she felt tired, miserably tired and just wanted to sleep. So she played with the hay until it was just right, then laid on it until she slept whispering to herself, "Macintosh you idiot…" //-------------------------------------------------------// A Broken Pie Cart //-------------------------------------------------------// A Broken Pie Cart Macintosh, had finally calmed down. He spent most of the night unable to think about anything other than Trixie. It was almost dawn and he still hadn't slept. Even without checking he could tell it was almost time for the roost to crow. Sneaking out to visit the barn was his first ideal but was crushed under the weight of other duties. AppleJack never came home which she did do on occasion, but that left him with all the task that she would normally do. With the rest of the Apple family gone for the remainder of the week, it was just AJ, Apple Bloom, Granny, and Macintosh alone to take care of the farm. Apple Bloom needed to be fed and sent to school as while Granny needed to have her medicine prepared. "Bye Big Mac!" Apple Bloom shouted waving her arm. "Take care of Granny." "Yup." He responded waving back. He turned closing the front door of the house and heading up the stairs to Granny. When he opened the door she was still in bed asleep. She had drank all the juice he had left her with the medicine in it so she would probably stay down for another couple hours. They had the local doctor give her a stronger prescription as to keep her from running around hopped up on drugs like last time. They still don't know how she managed to eat an entire barrel of apples and flip over a cow in the short moment they left her alone. Besides this, all that was left was to tend to the daily routine of caring for the animals. After he finished feeding them, he rushed back to Trixie thinking it be best to just skip everything else for now. Macintosh opened the barn doors wide letting the sun light envelope everything inside. In his left hand he held a sandwich on a plate he had made, and in his right a glass of orange juice. He walked deeper inside to find Trixie at the far back lying on top a pile of Hay she must have turned into a bed. When he came closer he noticed how the light shined over her. Her hair reflected the light back at him and some how absorbed it making it glow. Her face was lit up showing how flawless her skin was. Granted he couldn't see much with the light in his eyes, he could still make out the figure of her body. It was perfectly shaped out so the hips were just right, the ass just round enough, the rack perky yet bounty full. When she finally woke up covering her eyes from the sun light, she saw him standing almost right over her and let out a small scream. "What the hell are you doing!?" She shouted at the top of her lungs. "Were you watching me sleep?" "NO NO NO!" Macintosh backed away giving her space. "I just got here. I was going to wake you but..." Seeing him gesture to the food let trixie guess the rest. "…Well, I guess it's alright." She stood up picking the hay out of her hair. "You were kind enough to let me stay here. So as long as you didn't try anything i'll forgive you… Did you try anything?" Macintosh couldn't look her in the eyes. He may not have done anything but if she could hear what he was thinking it would have been a lot worse. She inched a bit closer to him dusting herself off and playing with her hair waiting for a response. "I made you lunch." He dodged the question, presenting her food, nearly shoving it into her chest. "It's just a sandwich and a glass of juice. I thought you might be hungry." "Thank you." She replied, then hastily gobbling down the food. Macintosh watched in amazement as she wolfed down the sandwich as if it were here first meal in an eternity. When she finished Trixie chugged down the OJ happy it wan't apple juice and looked up to see Macintosh focused on her now crumb covered face. "Excuse me." She said with a reddish face. "I spent the better part of yesterday on the run so I never got the chance to eat." He grabbed the plate and empty glass from her. "It's fine. I like that you have an appetite. Now i'm gonna swing past the house to put this away. Can you wait for me to get back." When he turned for the door Trixie grabbed his arm. "Wait!" She asked louder than she wanted. Macintosh turned to see her now hugging his arm with a flustered face. "What do you need?" he asked curious, blushing hoping she couldn't see. It took her a second to get her words together but she spoke carefully. "I-I just wanted to thank you again… For letting me stay last night. It may not seem like much to you, but that was the kindest thing anyone has done for me in a while. "For you, anything." Macintosh, instantly understood what he said and turned completely red. He was trying to sound cool but from the look of surprise on Trixie's face he knew she took it as a different meaning. She slowly let go of him signaling that he could run away now. Trixie could tell that's what he wanted to do. After giving a crappy look of confidence he walked out of the barn and closed the door behind him. He did want, to run but couldn't. He was moving as slow as a turtle, seemingly paralyzed by his last remark. He started thinking of all the things he could have said instead of that and began drowning in a pool of his own thoughts. This would have continued if he hadn't noticed AppleJack coming up the road with a broken cart. She waved for him to come over. Macintosh tossed the dishes he carried to the side hiding them from sight. "Heyah Big Mac," She said beginning to struggle with the load. "I could use a good hand dragging this here cart." "No problem." He replied picking up the broken cart with ease showing off his unnatural strength. "Whats wrong with the wheels?" "The've been melted stuck in place." She answered. "I was hoping we be able to fix it right up." Macintosh looked back interested. "Well that should be easy with the right tools. How did it happen?" "That no good show girl Trixie." AppleJack snapped. Macintosh, froze a moment, drowning out whatever his sister was saying, re-examining the pie cart. Is this Pinkies pie cart? He thought to himself, carrying it to the farm house. "Big Mac," The blonde farm girl called, regaining his attention. "Shouldn't we be taking that their cart to the barn?" "NO!" He yelled. AppleJack looked at him puzzled waiting for him to explain. "Well-what I mean is, uh," He almost tripped over his own words. "I saw the tools in the house so it would be easier to just take it there." "Oh, well that'll work." She said, hand on her head trying to pick up where she left off. "Anyway like I was sayin, me and Rainbow been up all night looking for her so she can pay for what she done." Macintosh, picked up speed, trying to hurry to the house. AppleJack didn't notice the difference in pace seeing as how deeply passionate she was talking about making Trixie pay pinkie back. She told him of all the things her and Rainbowdash wanted to do to her when they caught her. Some of it reasonable the rest a little extreme and getting worse. Macintosh couldn't help but think of the criminal he had stashed away in their own barn. She didn't need this, she couldn't handle this. From what he's seen and heard so far, she can barley pay to stay alive let alone pay pinkie back for the loss of an entire pie filled cart. She already had nowhere to go and no one to turn to. And with both Rainbow and AJ hunting her she'd be found in hours on her own. He wanted to help her but he didn't know how. As the two of them reached the back of the house Macintosh dropped the cart near the back door. AppleJack looked to Big Mac and said. "I'm gonna go check on Granny, you go get the tools so we can get started on the cart." He shook his head in understanding then the moment she was out of sight he ran back to the barn at full speed. When he got to the doors he quickly opened them, slid in and closed them shut. Trixie rose from behind a stall near the far back of the barn afraid of who might have come through so suddenly. When she realized it was only Macintosh she relaxed. As he made his way over to her, he could tell something was wrong. "Macintosh does she know i'm here yet?" Trixie asked full of panic. "I heard her yell my name and I hid." "No not yet." He said hoping to calm her. "I don't think she'll look for you in here, but this isn't the best hiding spot." She looked at him trying to follow his lead to calm herself down. "But if I can't stay here than where can I go?" "I don't know." He looked worried. "I can't think of anyway to get you out of this." "What if we left?" Trixie proposed, eyes fixed on his. "We could just leave right now. Go someplace no one would find us." Macintosh looked at her with the same intensity she looked at him with. He wanted to say yes, but to just leave everything behind. "Trixie, I wanna go with you, I really do but what about my family." She pulled him into her embrace, her head buried in his chest. "Please… You'r all i've got." At first he could only think no, never, not a chance but the longer she held him the more he wanted to go with her. She held tighter and tighter almost threatening to never let go. He didn't resist. Macintosh gave into her, forgetting every else that might trouble him. His only thoughts were of her. When she did release him, he was almost begging to go with her. Thats when the barn doors opened. Fear and doubt became reality as they heard the voice speak, "Big Mac what are you doing with Trixie?"
