//-------------------------------------------------------// Camp Serendipity -by Michael Hudson- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Arrival //-------------------------------------------------------// Arrival Starlight Glimmer hummed to herself as she looked to her camper list this year. Honestly, she was nervous about the sheer number. The majority of a school’s senior class? Sure, when she had first heard the offer, she had jumped for it, sinking her teeth into the chance, and not letting go. In her infinite wisdom, she had even managed to make it so that the campers would be there for all Summer. But now her doubts began to form. Starlight had originally made Camp Serendipity to break down social barriers between people, and as an example of what freedom could do for people. For the most part, this hope had stayed true. The ability to do anything had so far proven quite effective at getting people to open up to each other, and to grow as their own. It made them equals, even if for a little bit, and could help them see others as the equals she believed all to be. This many though, and with all of them just barely being eighteen, outside of the adults who had agreed to act as camp counselors… It was a daunting task. A soft, sweet voice came from behind Starlight as a pair of modest breasts pressed against her back, and the sweet girl’s arms wrapped around her. “Going over the list again? You know that they’ll love this, just like everyone else has.” Starlight smiled at the sentiment, even if it was somewhat untrue. Some of their less… savory clients had tried to use this as an excuse to get away from everything that might stop them from doing something, including jumping a poor girl who was just trying to express her body. Luckily, that’s why Starlight was normally armed, as she had to even admit that there were some rules that could not be denied. She turned around, looking at the woman with big, poofy, purple hair behind her. Her whole body was a nice, tanned brown, but then again, that’s what happens when one decides to forgo the need for clothes, something that Starlight herself had never been able to quite do. “Do you plan to get dressed for their arrival?” Sugar Belle blushed for a moment, before shaking her head. Not that it surprised Starlight. Sugar enjoyed being naked, as it made her feel free, and unrestricted, unlike what her emotions did to her. Since she could be free here, and had seen first hand the promised safety and justice that was enforced to make sure no actual laws were broken, she never got dressed. Starlight pitied the guy who decided to try to get inbetween those thighs though. That was a gate clamped off to the world. Well, she thought with a smile, most of it at least. Starlight walked out of the cabin, with Sugar beside her and checked the schedule again. “They should be here soon. Do you mind staying inside while I talk to them? I don’t want them to be too loud from the get go.” Sugar Belle held her hands up. “I understand, I promise. It’s not like this is the first year that I’ve worked here. Do you mind if I cook though, and come out when you’re done to feed them?” “You’ll need to make it quick.” Sugar Belle clicked her tongue as she turned away from Starlight, that cute, perky ass getting the lead counselor’s attention for a moment longer than she meant to let it. Horny was not how she liked to be during opening orientation. “Ye of little faith. Just you wait to see what I cook up.” “I can’t wait!” Starlight’s smile with the phrase did not last long though. Her nervousness was still there, still trying to tell her that she had messed up, that she had bitten off more than she could chew. That the limited amount of counselors wouldn’t be able to keep all of the young adults from doing something that could not be tolerated. That she would fail to keep the promises she had made to not only herself, but every person who came to her camp for freedom. And then, she saw the bus pull up, and knew there was no going back. Her, Night Glider, Celestia, Luna, and Double Diamond would simply need to be on their A game. And if they could do that, she smirked to herself, they should have no issues. Within the bus, the excited chatter of the students within came to a fever pitch at this point. Celestia glanced back along the bus, smiling to herself as she saw her students. As headmistress of Equestrian Academy, she had watched many of these kids grow. Then again, this was part of the advantage of running a school that let you start in kindergarten, and finish with a master’s degree. And this was the event that passed the school over to the college. The excited faces of her seniors were barely a mask for the nervousness she knew they felt. They had just graduated, and all eighteen now, ready to be adults heading into the new, exciting world ahead of them. Besides them, college students of all ages, happy to have new friends, and to just stop worrying about their papers and what not. They deserved this, and she was happy that the school was so successful to enable this. Celestia took in a deep breath, and stood up. One of the first to notice her was her prized student, Twilight, who worked with her directly on research projects, despite still going for her bachelor’s degree. She froze up, nudging the student beside her, and telling them to be quiet. It spread through the buss with flares of shouting as student’s attentions were gotten, and she couldn’t help but chuckle as she saw one, Button Mash if she remembered the name right, almost get nudged out of his seat so he would stop playing his video game. Once they were practically quiet, or as quiet as such a large group can be, she smiled at them. “So, I’ve explained the rules of the camp before, but Miss Glimmer asked that I make sure to do so again before letting you out, because the minute you step onto grass, you’re obeying them. Now, can anyone tell me what the rules are?” Twilight’s hand shot up immediately, but she was better than that. Of course Twilight would know, but she wanted one of the ones less likely to have focused on it. Or, one of the quieter voices, looking to the gray hand that now rose. “Marble.” The girl swallowed hard, shaking, but she had memorized the rules, all because Pinkie, who was practically shaking beside her, had made her realize how terrifying this whole trip could be. “There… there are none. The only things we are not allowed to do is to purposeful. cause severe physical or emotional trauma to each other. Otherwise, th-the counselors will not stop us.” Celestia could see wicked grins come onto some student’s faces as they became riled up once more, ready to do as they please. She would need to calm them back down though. “Yes, and that includes judging one another. While yes, you may do whatever you please, remember how that may reflect upon yourselves. Of course, I know that all of you will accept each other for who you are no matter what.” “That’s part of why I wanted you all to come here. Camp Serendipity believes in the phrase. Despite what you do, or what happens, it will work out, and I know all of you are strong enough people that you’ll be able to accept each other’s wilder sides, and come out stronger. Now,” she said, stepping back from the dead silence in the bus as the students looked at each other, “why don’t you all see what trouble you can get into?” Despite the heavy ending to her announcement, there was still a rush to get off the bus, and Celestia hoped that Luna remembered to step out of the way for her own students on the other bus. However, when the line got to the actual exit, there was a curse that sounded out from the boy at the front. The whole line pushed forward as they didn’t know what the hold up was for, and Celestia winced as her students fell out of the bus. Sugar Belle, for her part, looked rather nervous next to Starlight, who was holding one of the plates of cookies she had whipped up. She glanced over to the director of the camp, a slight blush on her face, and shrugged. “Maybe they haven’t seen a naked girl before?” Starlight only began to laugh, her fears melting away to the excitement that they were all going to have. Author's Note This is indeed comment driven, where you suggest what the characters should do. Almost anything goes, but please, try to give some consideration as to whether the character would want to do it in the first place, as this is supposed to be what they would do given the ability to do anything with minimal repercussions.
