On a fine sunday morning,Lariette was just about to close her shop early today because she had plans to go out on a walk with her friend,She's finishing up by attending to her last customer.
"Here you go miss! come back again! well,time to clean everything up and close shop,Rain might be here soon"
Lariette grab a feather duster with her mouth and get started on cleaning up her shop,a few minutes later,she finished dusting off the place and now it looks beautiful,then she heard a knock on her door followed by a familiar voice calling for her from outside.
"Hey Lari,you ready yet?? come on we don't want to waste a perfect day like today!"
"Oh rain! i'll be right there,hold on!"
Lariette ran to her room to pick up a bag of jewelry that she was going to deliver to Rarity later,and a couple of empty bags since she was also planning on doing some light shopping,then she walked over to the door and opened it.
"Sorry to keep you waiting,can we go to Carousel Boutique first? Rarity ordered these yesterday and i promised her i would deliver them today."
Rain:"sure,why not,let's get going then Lari"
They both walked towards Carousel Boutique,on the way they met Twilight who was walking back from the Boutique
Rain and Lariette:"Hey Twilight."
Twilight:"Oh,hi girls,where are you two headed?
Lariette:"Well we're going to Rarity's Boutique because i have these jewels she ordered and i have to deliver them."
Twilight:"Oh,those are probably the jewels she needed for that dressed i asked her to make,she said you would deliver them soon."
Lariette:"Yes,well it's time we get going,see you later Twilight"
Twilight:"Bye girls."
Soon,they reached Carousel Boutique,Lariette and Rain walked up to the door and Lariette pushed Rarity's doorbell button.a couple of seconds later,Rarity came and opened the door and invited them to come inside
Lariette:"Here are those jewels you wanted Rarity."
Rarity:"Oh thank you so much Lariette dear,here you go,10 bits."
Lariette:"Thanks Rarity,you are always my best customer."
Rain was looking at the dresses Rarity was making and she was very impressed with the dresses that Rarity made and wanted Rarity to make one for her
Rain:"Wow Rarity,these look very nice,do you think you could make me a dress to? just a normal one for walking around."
Rarity:"Sure thing Rain dear,come over here and we can discuss about what you want on it and such."
Lariette:"Okay well then,i'll be waiting outside Rain"
Lariette walked out of the Boutique and waited for Rain outside,a few minutes later Rain came out of the Boutique and Lariette walked towards her.
Lariette:"Okay,i only have 1 more thing to do,do you think we could stop by Sweet Apple Acres next? i want to buy some apples from Applejack as well."
Rain:"Sure thing Lari."
They both walked towards the forest where the Farm should be at,They saw the farm and in the Apple Orchard,Applejack,just the pony they were looking for,Lariette called out to her and she came to greet them.
Applejack:"Howdy gals,what can i do ya fer?"
Lariette:"can i buy a bagful of Apples? im planning on making pie tonight for dinner"
Applejack:"Sure thing hun,wait here a sec'"
Applejack took Lariette's bag and went into the barn,a few minutes later Applejack came back with Lariette's bag which is now full of apples
Applejack:"Here ya go sugarcube,that'll be 5 bits"
Lariette:"Thanks Applejack."
Lariette paid 5 bits and they both left the farm
Lariette:"well then,lets go to the park to finish off our day
Rain:"Okay,lets go."
They both went to the park and walked around the park for a good 30 minutes,they chatted about how they've been doing since they came to Ponyville.
Rain:"Well,time for me to go home,See ya Lari."
Lariette:"see ya."
Rain opened her wings and flew off into the sky,disappearing behind the clouds,Lariette then walked back to her Jewelry Shop and went inside.
"Well,time to make that Pie for dinner."
It's morning time in Ponyville,and Lariette had just woken up from her sleep,she went to her bathroom to wash up and then she decided to open up shop
"Well,guess i'll just open up now,first maybe i'll have some of that leftover pie from yesterday's dinner for breakfast."
She walked into her and kitchen and to the oven,she opened the oven and took out a single slice of pie that she saved for today's breakfast.After breakfast,she opened up her shop ready to do business for the day,then Rarity came in.
Rarity:"Good morning Lariette dear."
Lariette:"Oh,Hi Rarity,Good morning,what can i help you with today? the usual?."
Rarity:"No not really,i have just finished the dress your friend Rain asked me to make,but i do not know where she lives,could you tell her to pick it up later in the day?"
Lariette:"Why sure thing Rarity,is that all?"
Rarity:"Yes,Thank you Lariette,Goodbye."
Lariette:"Bye Rarity."
Lariette spent her day working in the shop,selling jewels to nobles that came from Canterlot and some tourists that were looking for rare Jewelries.Meanwhile Rain was working in the Weather Factory.
Pegasus:"Hey Rain! we could use your help over here!"
Rain:"Coming! what do you need me to do?"
Pegasus:"you form these rainclouds while we get some water to fill them up with."
Rain:"Sure thing fellas."
Pegasus 2:"Oh no! something's wrong with the wind machine!"
Suddenly,a huge gust of wind blew all the Pegasus in the Factory out,most of them were unprepared so they were having trouble trying to fly properly,However Rain is having trouble and she is quickly falling down
Rain:"Somepony help me!"
Lariette was walking around the market buying some items for lunch,she was also buying some cloths and cleaning materials to polish up her jewels,Then she heard everypony keep talking about something happening at Cloudsdale so she looked upwards.She saw that something had happened at the Weather Factory,however it seems that the Pegasus are alright.
Lariette:"I sure hope nothing bad happened.."
Rain:"Somepony help me!"
Lariette:"that's....Rain!"
She panicked and quickly looked around the sky for any sign of Rain,She saw that Rain was falling fast towards the park,She ran for the park while thinking up of a plan on how she could save Rain.
Lariette:"Hold on!"
She noticed that Rain was falling right atop of the hill,So she ran up the hill and braced herself for impact,She thought maybe she could catch Rain from falling.Rain fell on Lariette and they both rolled down the hill.Everypony came to them to check on how they are doing.
Rain:"ouch...Thanks Lariette...Lariette? hey,wake up."
Lariette was just lying there,Breathing,but she isn't moving.
Rain:"uh oh,Somepony help me carry her to the hospital!"
Twilight and Rarity happened to be at the scene so they used their magic to pick Lariette up and they rushed towards Ponyville Hospital
A few hours later,Lariette woke up and noticed that her head and left back leg was hurting very badly
Lariette:"OUCH!!"
Rain:"Lariette,stop!,You shouldn't move too much,the doctor said your head isn't serious,but you did broke one of your legs."
Lariette:"Well doesn't matter,at least you're okay."
Rain:"Right,about that,Thanks Lariette."
Lariette:"You're Welcome."
Soon the doctor came in along with Twilight and Rarity.
Rarity:"Lariette darling,are you alright?"
Twilight:"That was very brave of you Lariette,risking your own life to save a friend."
Lariette:"Thanks girls,aside from the broken leg i think i'm fine,Thanks for visiting."
Rain:"I'm sorry you had to go through all this,It's my fault."
Lariette:"No,It wasn't your fault,nopony knew the Factory was gonna blow up,I don't blame you at all."
Rain:"Thanks."
Doctor:"Well you should be able to go home in about a week as long as you stay in bed and take medicine on a regular basis."
Lariette:"thank you doctor."
Just when the doctor was about to leave Lariette and her guests alone to have a chat,Rain stopped him and asked
Rain:"Doctor,would it be okay if i stay here to take care of her rather than the nurses,it's not that i don't trust the nurses,but i just want to take care of my friend
Doctor:"I don't see why not,you can take that empty bed next to hers until a patient needs it."
Rain:"Thank you doctor."
Lariette:"Wow,Thanks Rain,but what about your job?"
Rain:"Nevermind that,i'm sure they can give me a week off,but then what about your shop?"
Rarity:"If i may i could watch over your shop.i know qualities of jewelries enough to help you out with it."
Lariette:"Sure Rarity,if you are not too busy,thanks."
Twilight:"Well i hope you get well soon Lariette,but i have to go now."
Rarity:"I have to go as well,get well soon Lariette dear."
Lariette:"I will,Thanks girls."
Rarity and Twilight left the room,leaving only Rain and Lariette inside
Rain:"So can i get you anything?"
Lariette:"A drink would be nice."
Rain:"Okay,I'll go get you some."
As rain was about to walk out the door,Lariette stopped her
Lariette:"Wait!"
Rain:"Hm?"
Lariette:"Rain,your the bestest friend i could hope for."
Rain:"Haha,you too Lariette."
