//-------------------------------------------------------// twisting love -by AzureQuill- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The slow, low buzzing all around her had become soothing, instead of frighting, surprisingly fast and now, even the high pitched hissing stopped bothering her quite as much as it had in the beginning, when each noise had made her jump in her chains. Now, the only lay there, heavy breathing the only sound she made. Once in a while the Queen herself would visit her, empty eyes searching for even the slightest wisps of Loves magic, drones swarming around her, never quite touching their mother, but always close enough that they could leech off any magic that might surround her. The Queen never spoke these days, mocking words long since spent. It hadn’t taken long for them to tap into Loves power, only days, hours, seconds, moments after she arrived, chained but defiant, sure that her friends would come and save her from this hell. no one had come to save her Sometimes, when the buzzing calmed down for the night, she could hear voices, slow murmuring voices in the back of her head, but as much as she tried to understand them, the broken words never reached her ears enough for her to understand them. Sometimes, she prayed for the buzzing to start again, for the noise to become unbearable, for the voices to *fucking stop*. Please just stop, she wants to beg, but she knows that it’ll fall on deaf ears, so she doesn’t. Its been weeks since she last had feeling in her legs. She hadn’t tried to get up since then, had just laid there, motionless save for the moments before the feeding, when Loves magic filled her veins until she almost burned up, hot, hot, hot hot hot hothothothot love burning her intestines. Now, the numbness had started to spread upwards, until breathing became a chore, until she almost couldn’t do it anymore, until she was almost gone. Her heart beat slowed down, the poison working through her body piece by piece, her soul no longer fighting. The pleasant darkness light up with bright flashes of lavender magic. Crystals and swords flying, while her heart started beating again, pumping the poison faster through her body. She can’t help but smile, the faint battle cries carrying into her little cave. The darkness starts to tighten her vision, until all she could see was the opening, and at last, an angry blue splash. She smiles some more. Finally, she closes her eyes. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 There was way too much blood for one pony. It pooled around the Alicorn like a blanket might, reflecting the little lights around the unicorn mare, standing there, hooves locked up in fear. Tentative, she took a step forward, and another, and another, until she was standing right in the middle of the puddle, the blood staining her once blue coat even further, until it became an angry purple red color. She reached out to touch her fallen friend, but as she spread blood all over the mares light pink fur, she couldn’t find a pulse. So she stood there, numbness spreading inside of her like poison. Behind her, the Queen had once again risen from the ground, shaking off the effects of Dewdrops spells. She contemplated attacking the distracted mare herself, then pointed at the few still living drones, and ordered them to attack. For a few precious seconds, the mare couldn’t hear anything but her own heart beat, the strong pounding in her chest reaching down to her hooves, until she heard the buzzing, and saw 3 drones come up to her. Tears gathered in her eyes, but they didn’t stop her from killing each of the drones with a quick swipe of her sword, heart beat barely picking up, spelling their green slimy blood all over the entrance to the little alcove they were in. The blood started to eat through the stone almost immediately, but Dewdrop barely noticed the splatters on her coat, barely noticed the shaking of her body, barely noticed anything but the red hot hatred burning in her body. The fizzling could barely be heard over her enraged screams, as she tore through the remaining drones, until she stood in front of the Queen, panting heavily,  covered in the acid blood of lesser changelings, who covered behind the last of her guards. The unicorn felt not a bit of hesitation, as she took the Queens head of her shoulders, smiling to herself in triumph. Then, as she turned around to pick up her fallen friend, standing in the midst of the battlefield, slayed enemies flanking her, the tears started to fall. Big, heavy tears, that seemed to wash away the dirt out of blood stained fur, as she buried her head in her fallen friends mane, sobs shaking her frame. How could she let that happen?
