A Hearths Warming Holiday

"It's rather ironic when you think about it a little."

"Maybe I should go apologize to Twilight before everypony else leaves."
"Very wise decision. Doing so will bring better strength in your relationship." Spike slowly walks to Twilight before tugging her wing with a gentle pull from his hand. Twilight looks back with a smile on her face and picks him up with her horn, placing the dragon on her back.

"Hey Twilight. Sorry for what I had back there."
"I know things were rather off from your expectations, but you managed to pull through with a little help and confidence."

"I feel bad for those who are probably wondering where I am." In the distance was a white stallion with a blue mane and blue eyes along with a pink alicorn with some yellow highlights.
"Shining Armor?!" Twilight trots over to her big brother and hugs him with a warm touch of her hooves.

"Sorry we couldn't make it in time. Had some last minute shopping."
"As long as you have a good reason to be late in this time, there is nothing to be ashamed of." Spike looks from afar, seeing a happy family reunion when he is surprised by a sudden breath of word.

"Well?"
"Woah! I did not think you'd be here."

"Shouldn't you be over there?"
"Why?"

"Look at you. This is no time to stand around." Discord pushes Spike on over to where Twilight was standing with an outstretched arm.
"Spike. You're just in time for your gift." Shining Armor said with glee.

"For me? Aw you shouldn't have."
"Go on open it." Spike unwraps the present to reveal a Stallion figure with a dark purple robe, faded light green skin, and a pointed staff.

"This is awesome! I thought they were sold out for good."
"I managed to get it at a market for a small price."

"Here Spike, open my gift." Cadance hands over a present with a small smile. Inside of the paper lied a collectors edition of Ogres and Oubliettes.
"This is so beautiful, it has all the maps, the bosses, the spells, even comes with a set of dice." A small tear runs down Spikes eye as he is jolly to be blessed with something he did not know would come to this day. The starry night sky twinkles as everypony out there enjoys their most wonderful time of the year,
