Out By the Camp Fire

Chapter 3: The next step.

Inspired by Nico-Stone Rupan’s Sour Sweet Stories

The week passed too fast for Sour. The memories of what Second and her had done was still fresh in her mind, but there was more to it than that. Lemon and her had actually gotten closer, sharing such a close space together, Second’s parents had actually made it almost an entire week before saying something that got a few sideways glances from everyone else’s parents.

It was finally time to pack up, and that was something that all of you were doing. In a way, she was going to miss this. Oh sure, there would undoubtedly be camping again on some summers, but other ones she’d be busy with school work, or taking summer classes, or even working a job. The idea of living in the travel trailer had gotten to be less and less of a maybe, and more of a certainty.

She could see herself in it, and more importantly she was feeling confident. She got into the truck and looked back on the place where she and her family had spent at least a week of their vacation for so long. As they pulled out she smiled. It had been fun, and it wasn’t like she was really telling this part of her life goodbye. She was just expanding it a little.

Her eyes widened a little as she thought about something else. The sheets in the cabin! They forgot to strip the bed and take the sheets to the laundry! She slid down in the seat as she realized that some of Sunny’s parent’s grounds keepers for the property was more than likely going to find evidence of buggery that happened in there.
