A young man joins the Chess Game of the Gods, but is left far away from Equestria.
Fact: if a man offers to take you to Equestria, don't say yes. It's a trap. I agreed, and ended up as a species I didn't even know existed on a completely different continent than the one I was told I'd be on. Now I have to fight my way across two deserts and an army of crazy cultist zebras to even get near Equestria.
And I have no idea what I'll do once I get there.
