The sky was blossoming over apple orchard giving the scenery a loving warm feeling. Applejack was tilling the carrot field with her amazing earth pony endurance. Sweat was dribbling down her forelegs as she finished one of her major chores of the day. She heard a musical voice that always brought her a smile. A special feeling was always reserved for her cousin Pinkie Pie though she couldn't understand quite why. The bouncing earth filly was traveling in her direction from Ponyville as the sun was beginning to set. Celestia and Luna gave each other a hoof bump as they pass each other to raise and lower the celestial objects.
“Hiya cousin you finished here so we can have our dinner party over at Twilight's!” asked the curious pink mare.
“Sure as sugar side's Twilight wanted some help with one of her spell's member?” said the reliable orange mare.
Applejack began washing the sweat from her body from one of the water troughs cleansing herself from a hard day's work. Pinkie Pie was blushing as she observed her filly friend before she could get caught by her possible cousin. She grabbed her friend's hoof with a giggle on her breath pulling AJ towards Ponyville. Celestia made it back to castle as the night was rising she smiled fondly thinking about her precious sister. She entered her secret library to check to see if any new scrolls made it there before her bedtime. The princess took a side trip over to the genealogy section of her library looking up the mane six.
What she found there only made her giggle as she read about Twilight and then onto Pinkie with Applejack. She had a mysterious grin creeping up her face as she spoke out loud.
"Oh my dear and they thought they were related." she chuckled with much mirth.
The day was getting cooler as the moon was slowly rising to its rightful place in the sky. There was two mares wandering back to town chatting about apples and friends.
“Hold on Pink's, I think we be mite early so lets enjoy our stroll through Ponyville.” orange mare smiled with a bit exasperation .
“Okie dokie lokie cousin ooo look at that closed door its so pretty and lavenderly!” the chaotic pony said.
"Hey is that a super duper deluxe three thousand apple flavored cupcake stand over there!" she spoke with much energy.
"What ah don't think there is.. by Granny Smith's apple there is!" spoke an excited Applejack.
"See AJ lets get a snack and then drink and... ooo that is shiny!" Pinkie rushed towards the stand.
"Pinkie ah reckon we ought to have dinner first with Twilight." The orange mare said.
"Ahhh guess your right AJ looks so good too hmm Ill get some for gummy later he would like that." the joy pony smiled as the words left her lips.
Pinkie Pie was talking enjoyably about each house and their inhabitants as they traveled across Ponyville. The orange mare was amazed as always about Pinkie Pie's memory and her attention to detail about each pony. Of course Applejack grinned privately as Pinkie Pie would introduce herself to traveling ponies as energetically as always. The duo arrived at Twilight's friendship castle, the night reached its peak a full blown moon lighting the land peacefully. Before they could open the door the Pinkie sense went off, she shoved Applejack aside dodging a door that flew open upon them. A panting Spike worry sitting heavy on his eyebrows looked at them both and took a breath before he spoke.
“Girls I am so glad to see you Twilight needs your help she is stuck in a new spell.” despair was gloating in his eye's.
Pinkie Pie responded “Holy cupcakes Spikey have no fear for your auntie Pinkie is here and we shall save the day with apple flavored cupcakes!.”
Applejack snorted before her reply “Look Spike I am sure whatever spell she is stuck in me and Pink's here can handle it cupcake or no cupcake.”
“Thank you oh thank you I am gonna get more help girls!” as he hurried off in the directions of Rarity's home.
The castle was glowing with evanescence magic as the moon played its light upon its form. Purple magic was shooting out of castle breaking the beautiful aura setting the scene for trouble. Applejack charged through the open doors heading for her friends room as Pinkie Pie followed hopping a step behind.Their heart's filled with determination to help a friend in need, Applejack was recently exhausted from work she felt renewed with new strength as she charged the stairs. The castle rang with the thundering applause as the mares reached the doors of Twilight's test room.
They burst through the test room doors to see Twilight suspended in magic with purple bolts arcing around the room. Pinkie Pie yelped as a singe appeared on her mane causing Applejack to buck a bolt of magic away from her cousin. Pinkie rubbed her sore flank for a second before vanishing from sight causing the orange mare to smile.
"She is just being Pinkie AJ." she grinned to herself.
“Twi gal you ok in there sugar cube, come on girl wake up.” came a worried voice from a certain orange mare.
Twilight didn't respond as the magic fluctuated around her causing a few spasms making her worry more. Applejack was trying desperately to look for a solution to help her friend with much difficulty.
“Apples I think she is overdosed on magic sugar we need to help her, dang orange's that book is gone wonky.” replied an eager pink pony who was eyeing a mysterious floating book.
The joy pony appeared from behind a book case with an apple in her mouth making a few munching sounds. Pinkie pie bounced over to a floating book that was arcing magic around the room which was glowing with strange magic. Pinkie pie giggled as she was reading the title of the book earning herself an annoyed look from Applejack.
“Figures it be beardie's adventuring book its a real classic my possible cousin apple.” smiled a pink mare while eating an another cupcake that mysteriously appeared from her mane.
Pinkie made an attempt to grab the book from its spot and earned herself a shock sending her sprawling on the ground.
"Pink's you ok gal talk to me come on you crazy hay bell." Applejack felt her eye's harden.
"That's a doozy yup three little gummies are dancing around my head hey give that back you adorable little guy." said a dizzy pink mare.
Applejack decided to take matters into her hooves by charging into Twilight's body which brought her to the ground. This caused magical surge around the book making it shine brighter. The book reacted as a powerful spell wrapped around both mares with ancient alicorn magic imprinting it self upon them. Both of them stared at one another fear clutching at their hearts as they reached to grab each other hoof suspended in the air. There was an audible clap of magical explosion leaving nothing in its wake with both ponies gone a certain lavender mare began to stir.
Twilight awoke being shook by her friend's Rarity and Spike worry slowly leaving their eye's. The purple alicorn shook her head clearing her thoughts when a spell came to mind it was supposed to be a way of creating a powerful teleporting magic a destination spell. Her thoughts were soon to be interrupted when Spike asked a simple but terrifying question.
“Uh Twilight where is Pinkie and Applejack they were here a few minutes ago to help you.” asked a puzzled baby dragon.
“No.. it can't be my spell had no destination that is improbable.” said a terrified Twilight Sparkle.
Snow was falling from the sky in heaping amounts of fluff covering the ridge, as two ponies appeared in mid air falling into its cold embrace. This mountain range is rather unique with its pulsating crystals covering its spiny back giving home to many yeti's that love to eat ponies. From a village in the ridge not to far away was a yak watching the sky in a vain hope to see something exciting when he saw two magical purple hole's open in the sky for a moment.
He rubbed his eye's imagining he saw something impossible he thought he saw falling ponies in the distance, he dropped his eyeglass to tell a nearby yak. Not to far from there was a few yeti's that raised their head's to some unusual noise heard in the mountain range something.. tasty. The crystal ridge welcomed everyone equally into its home with its cold withering embrace that only encouraged the hardy and wooly to leave in it.
Applejack and Pinkie Pie fell from the sky with the ancient alicorn magic slowing their descent landing in the cushy soft snow. Applejack immediately looked and spotted the Pink mare head first in the snow. Her concern dropped a notch as she wrapped her hooves around her shoulders feeling the pure chill of the area.
“Ugh apples of Celestia where in the snow acres are we now!” yelled Applejack at the ground.
“Hmm this snow taste mighty familiar I know its yak snow bleh yak snow taste like mud.” smiled the pink mare with a grin that could make your heart tickle as wet snow fell off her face.
“Pinkie Pie how would you know that is yak snow ya know girl snow is snow.” said a stern pony who was gazing at Pinkie Pie feeling guilty about her tone.
“Cause I came here a month ago to plan a party for our friends the yak's, by Luna's fake beard they are chatty bunch and then Snips said snow in the crystal mountains tasted like mud and i was like ahh that would be awesome!” joked the party pony.
The air around them was chilling fast but the two friends were staring into each others eye time was slowing for them. Pinkie blushed as she hopped away towards a ridge leaving no hoof prints in the ground surprising the work pony. Then a horrifying sound cleared the air with a yell of a hungry yeti. Applejack protected Pinkie Pie backside looking for the attacker, snow was slowing its fall showing two angry red orbs staring at them.
Both ponies shrieked as they ran from the hungry yeti chasing them through the mountain range. Pinkie Pie heart was leaping with joy for she never had a chase party, she giggled as she leaped and bounced off rock wall. This put the yeti into a jam for he almost had his pink meal anger and hunger giving him more drive to push faster. Unfortunately his face crushed into the rock wall falling unconsciousness leaving a limp yeti laying on the cold ground.
She hooped and hollered as she tricked the yeti with her pinkie way then Applejack yelled at her to run. The pink mare turned around to see an another yeti ram into he. This sent her tumbling down the ridge with a loud thud causing her to lay the snow not moving. The smiling pony was laying in the snow with her head resting on a rocking not moving an inch which drove the working pony into full steam. She charged the yeti with a nasty buck that sent the creature into the snow wall burying it in snow, there was no movement seen from the pile.
She hurried to slide down the ridge to reach Pinkie her heart heavy with fear for her dear friend. Worry and fear resting heavy on her eyebrows as she rushed to her friends side checking her for a pulse. Pinkie wasn't moving an inch and a small trickle of blood could be seen freezing on her temple giving the orange mare a fright of her life. Applejack felt a pulse though a weak one enough for hope she smiled thinly.
Then a moment later she heard a grunt as Pinkie tried to move, Applejack began hugging her with all her might when she heard a sound from the pony of laughter.
“Brains...brains... I want to eat your brains sweet apple.” groaned the pink mare with devilish delight in her swollen eye's.
“Wash my hooves and call me a orange eater you are gonna be ok Pink's.” exclaimed Applejack as the worry lighten a bit on her face.
“Ugh my head hurts but no way this filly is getting the brain willies!” joked Pinkie Pie.
“Now ain't no time for joking cousin we got to get you somewhere warm and fast.” Applejack groaned lifting Pinkie Pie up. she now figured out how solid the little pink mare is or how many cupcakes she must truly eat.
“ I am ok Maud don't take me away from party I still have a few more pranks for our friends.” said the dizzy mare as she was hoisted safely on Applejack's back.
The concerned pony was carrying her friend with all her might down these slippery path's causing her to slip and fall on her flank. She was scared for her friend searching desperately for a cavern when she spotted a dark hole barely visible in the distance. The party pony was nuzzling her face against Applejack's mane mumbling half sentences about how good she smelled. She felt like she walk for hours as she packed the incoherently speaking mare into the cave while searching her natural pockets for goodies.
She tried to ignore most of the ramblings as she had a few apples with her deciding on how to split them with her friend. The wind howled carrying snow across the ridge making the entire view from the entrance a wall of white sleet. The pink pony opened her one eye still feeling dizzy and saw Applejack cuddling with her backside attempting to keep her warm as she shivered in this cold environment.
She smiled at her knight in shining orange armor give her apple a kiss on the cheek with a blush tinging her cheeks. She shifted her mane so it would cover her cousin as she snuggled tightly while being careful not to wake her friend up.
"I am sorry Apple's I didn't mean to give you more trouble I just wanted to see you smile." she said regret bringing a tear to her swollen eye.
"Also since I am talking to my sleeping friend I need to tell you that I am very sorry but we are not cousin's," she then dropped her voice real low " I went to talk to princess Celestia about us being related and found out in the royal library we are not even closely related that's so much bad oatmeal."
Applejack was sleeping as she heard the words of her dear friend but chose to listen as not to upset her friend anymore.
"I am so sorry Apple's I just wanted to be closer to you and I botched it again ugh Pinkie why can't you ever get it right tomorrow I am gonna make it up to you AJ Pinkie Pie promise!" she collapsed against the orange mare cuddling with to share her warmth.
Applejack opened her eye's when she heard Pinkie Pie snoring in tune with her ghostie song bringing a smile to her face.
"I know sugar cube ah didn't want to disappoint you either tarnations what can I to help you cupcake." she said confusion playing across her emotions unsure what she should fill. The exhaustion of the day took its toll forcing her eye's to close as she stared hard Pinkie's worried sleeping face. The night wore on giving both of them dreamless sleep waking up to light crack into the entrance.

Accidental adventure and romance
The light creaked in on the sleeping pair who were intertwined to fight off the cold in the cavernous cave. The frost melted slightly causing some fog to cover the entrance giving the scene a mysterious appearance. Applejack could smell sweet cotton candy as her eye's open gazing at a messy mane covering parts of her body. She felt a chill run down her spine causing her to shiver when she felt pair of hooves full of warmth pulling her closer into a sweet embrace.
The orange mare could only smile wanting this moment to last as long as Granny Smith still does. Pinkie Pie was dreaming of apples and cupcakes frolicking at a picnic party as she shot her confetti cannon along with Applejack. The dream was ending as she felt the warmth from her friend shaking her wake slowly. The pony of joy only clung to her even harder as Applejack was attempting to shake her awake.
"Pink's? you awake sugar?" said the concerned earth pony as she shook Pinkie Pie.
"No more oatmeal mom I swear ill clean the tub with a brush instead of a pie this time." snorted the party pony as the fog died down revealing the entrance to the outside.
"Oh buck its cold in here," she then added " But how did your mane cover most of me and how much do you got in there."
Noticing that throughout the night ambiguous items along with a bag full of chocolates fell out of her mane. As she shook her sweet smelling friend only more item's appeared confusing the orange mare. The reliable mare realized that her friend must have retain more damage like Big Mac did when a crate of apples fell on his head when he was a foal. Pinkie groaned slight as the orange mare looked her over looking for signs of her waking.
Applejack smiled at her friend as the sun revealed her friend face this startled the orange mare. Pinkie had a large bump above her right eye with a small size scab that was barely healing in this cold. This brought some panic from Applejack as the laughing mare stirred waking from her slumber. Pinkie raised her head lazily with a slow smile spreading from her face that caused the honest earth pony to freeze in her spot. Her thoughts wandered into her no no zone in the left portion of her brain. Amazing and beautiful was the two words echoing in her head. She blushed fiercely as she rushed forward to hug the party pony as gently as she could.
"Whoa did we party last night, must have been a blast my head hasn't hurt this much since we threw a party for Spike he is such a fun little guy." spoke the embarrassed pink mare slightly dizzy from her injury.
"I buck whole field of orange tree's just to see you wake up sugar," said the proud pony her feelings becoming more firm in her heart " Apples we got stuck here in this snow trap my little cupcake."
" Felt like an oven to me." then she added slyly " Like I was cuddling with some warm apple pie hmm if only I had some whip topping nummy num num."
Applejack went slack for a minute before responding "Hay bails little cupcake you sure know how to make your cousin blush don't ya."
The joy pony didn't respond to the cousin because she was unsure if Applejack was awake.
Pinkie rubbed her head before she replied with an easy smile " Hope to have more slumber parties Twilight bragged about hers real good made me a little jealous that I missed all that fun."
Quick response from the work pony " Not sure if I could call that fun with Rarity being all fancy but sure I think we could have some real fun little cupcake."
Pinkie Pie finally noticed her new nickname, something like a pet name which brought her a happy balloon into her heart. Her head twinged as her hoof reached up to touch her bump which began to throb. A memory flashed of a yeti chasing both her and Applejack, then a fall into the snow nothing came after that. The orange earth pony took her cowboy hat off and place it over the party ponies head covering her wound. This caused Pinkie Pie to smile so wide convincing the honest mare that she was made of a elastic material. Both of them began laughing as they fell into an embrace tears running down their cheeks as relief finally took over.
"Apples cupcake you could buck my apple tree's any day and it would always brings me a smile." said Applejack realizing her own honest words embarrassment fell across her face.
"Oooo that sounds like fun maybe I should do an apple tree party for my sweet mare friend." she winked flushing at her own words.
" Now that's my kind of party but I think we should get home first so we can get your head looked at and tarnations this loose mouth of mine too." as a faint tinge of red barely touching her cheeks.
Pinkie Pie was unsure why AJ needed to have her mouth looked but if she needed help she would.. no bad Pinkie she is your friend. Her mane poofed three times as her mind overheated at the thoughts that raced through her mind causing her to vibrate in one spot. This action lead Applejack to smile as her emerald eye's glistened at her friend with a creeping fear of relatives not approving. The two stared at one another not understanding their feelings which whirled worse than the storm they fell into last night. Applejack put her emotions into check as she realized how much danger they must be in.
This wonderful moment was interrupted by some unfamiliar voices being yelled outside the cave striding by. A group of voices was yelling outside the cave with a rough texture to the sound startling both mares. Applejack one to take action grabbed Pinkie's hoof leading her outside to meet the intruders.
"By Granny smiths walking stick could it be?" asked the honest mare holding her friend.
"Yup yaks told you they are a chatty bunch and sometimes they know how to ruin some good fun." a lazy smiled sprawled across the face of Pinkie.
"Whaa?" asked a confused earth pony " Like the ones that ruined your party if they try again they are gonna get bucked!"
"Silly apple, but no these are different voices I know they need a party a search party!" she drum tapped her mare friend shoulders.
Pinkie Pie felt like she could party for a whole year straight her heart was thumping faster than normal like a zillion times faster. Her Pinkie levels were at an all time high as she zipped across the ridge, her head began to spin. Applejack caught the crazy pony as she fell in front of the yak's holding torches with looks of concern and surprise.
"Who are you two and why is she hurt?" asked a broken horned yak.
"Is she alright little thing?" asked a young yak.
Pinkie Pie put on her best meet someone new for the first time smile that caused the yaks to be quiet for a minute. She tried to stand up and failed but her words still came forth.
" Hi Yakki's its me Pinkie Pie I almost traveled to your home once to look for the perfect party item to help your prince realize that we ponies know how to get down." she blurted out surprising her guests but not Applejack.
"We need help now," Applejack said with a stern plea "My friend is hurt and there are varmints who chased us mean ugly ones."
The largest yak stood forward holding a burning torch " Yak village not far it will keep warm yes."
A young yak brought a sleight forward and asked earnestly " Need help strong one?"
Applejack was full of concern but still flashed her business grin " Sure little warrior help auntie Applejack out please mite tired from the running."
The yaks pulled out a sleigh and assisted Applejack in putting the party pony in its care. Applejack wouldn't let anyone pull the sleigh but her as they followed the yak's towards their home. The orange mare barely spoke as she pulled her friend through the snow. These treacherous ridge made it difficult for her to pull slowing her pace down.
The large yak spoke " Little one need break let me pull for now we have distance to go."
"No ah not gonna share this chore," she spoke with heated passion "mah fault she is hurt in the first place."
"You said yeti chase and hurt her," the young yak spoke "Seems like its yeti fault."
A misshapen rock caught onto the leg of the sleigh jerking both ponies to the ground. The broken horned yak helped the work pony up giving her a chance to get Pinkie back onto the sleigh. She felt her friends head and it was burning with a high temperature that sent chills down her back that wasn't from the weather.
"Dang nabbit she got a fever this ain't fair." she threw her hat on the ground daring herself to stomp on it.
The large yak spoke with concern "We have shaman he can help."
The broken horn yak spoke next with sympathy " Let me pull for now little pony you rest with her keep her from getting worse."
This line of reasoning made Applejack give up the reins of the sleigh. A sigh escaped her mouth as she quickly covered her mouth.
"Ah am sorry for being stubborn thank you." Applejack said as she climbed onto the sleigh to cover her dear friend.
Back in Ponyville Twilight was sending her research and correspondence to princess Celestia on the matter at hand. She and spike were making many letters gather all the possible information she could garner from her teacher. Fluttershy along with Rarity and Rainbow Dash was waiting in the same room impatience filling the air.
The castle room was filled with the nervous energy of these five characters causing Rainbow to pace the room kicking at random objects. Fluttershy was petting Angel who was struggling in her arms with an annoyed expression, he was trying to escape unsure why his master was so nervous. Rarity was the calmest one in the room sipping her tea as she watched with concern over her friends.
"Rarity how can you be so calm." Rainbow asked roughly.
"Because my dear Twilight couldn't possibly hurt our friends even on accident that's how." Rarity said with confidence.
Rainbow Dash snorted at her response and then replied "I know she wouldn't do it intentionally Rarity but how can you be so calm its driving me crazy."
Rarity set her cup of tea down and look at her friend " I have to be calm right now Dash or I would be bawling my eye's right now and Twilight needs us to be strong."
Fluttershy looked at both of her friends amazed by their strength to handle their friends gone missing she was nearly at the breaking point barely holding it together. Angel decided to resign his fate to being pet repeatedly he just have to get his extra carrot for all this work.
Rainbow Dash growled at the wall and then she took several deep breath's that Fluttershy taught her to do when she felt a lot of tension.
"Umm are they gonna be ok?" Fluttershy felt the need to say something.
Rarity took another sip and then spoke "Do you think Applejack would have a problem anywhere I bet you right now she is bucking like a crazed mare."
This caused the sky color Pegasus to chuckle "And Pinkie I am sure that mare can survive anything she is the craziest and friendliest mare in Equestria."
Fluttershy finally stopped petting Angel and smiled vaguely "Your right those two can do anything when they put their hooves to it."
Twilight burst into the room along with Spike they both took a several breath's before speaking.
Spike spoke first "They are alive!"
Rarity nearly dropped her cup of tea "How do you know?"
Spike responded again "Twilight cast a life detection spell that was oriented on both of them."
"Is that even possible never mind who cares that is awesome." Rainbow danced across the room.
Twilight Sparkles spoke "Me and Celestia along with Luna are working on a region location spell this will take a few days to locate them."
Fluttershy spoke an octave higher "That means we can find them thank you oh thank you Twilight."
The kind Pegasus latched a hug onto the guilt ridden alicorn giving both of her friends a face full of regret.
"Do not give me that look Princess Twilight this was accident and not your fault!" Rarity slammed her cup on the table.
Rainbow Dash admired her friends resolved and followed with " She's right Twi it's that uncool book's fault for messing with your magic don't blame yourself gal you are awesome!"
Twilight felt tear's welling in her eye's "But it was I who cast the spell because I wanted to learn how to create the destination spell."
Spike held Twilight hoof gently with a soft stroke "Let it go Twilight your research has helped many of the ponies of Equestria and the other princess's accidents happens to us all please don't let this stop you being you."
Twilight was being hugged by all of her friends after the hug fest each friend returned home to gather supplies for there eventual journey for their friends. Twilight Sparkles along with her amazing assistant Spike went to visit the royal sisters to help with the location region spell.
Back in the crystal ridge there was a small scuffle ensuing unknown to the sleeping duo the yaks were fighting a small group of yeti's. The large yak had a yeti in each hoof tossing them into the other yeti's. The young yak worked in unison with the broken horned yak defending the sleigh knocking the yeti's aside with amazing strength of the yaks. This convinced the small group to run off as they bit off more than they can chew.
"Silly yeti's only small one's came." spoke the large yak.
"Careful there are many yeti's." spoke the broken horned yak as she stroked her unbroken horn.
The young one surveyed the other and sighed "Sometimes there are big ones too."
The three nodded in unison as the large one took the reins pulling the two weakened ponies towards their village higher up the ridge.

Yakky beginning chapter three
Pinkie Pie opened a single eye as her groggy head throbbed with a stinging pain. She felt familiar hooves wrap around her body carrying her towards safety. she felt a soft *pomf* in her mane as she saw that the pony carrying her was Applejack. The worried mare carrying her friend across her back as she stepped into a medical hut. This was a ten foot wide building with smoking herbs used to soothe and heal the injured who came here. Applejack carefully placed the wounded pony onto a hay cot fluffing her pillow with a worried look on her face.
"Thaa... yo..u." said the barely conscious pink mare.
"Hush now cupcake," whispered before she spoke louder " ah like to fix you but mah skill's aren't with ponies."
Applejack face fell as she looked over her pink friend who was running a fever sweat beading down her chest. Applejack noticed that the dressing was freshly dressed thanks to the yaks who guided them to this village. She felt a sense of helplessness as Pinkie Pie slowly breathed in ragged breaths bringing an internal sense of guilt to the orange mare.
"y..o ne..d t. sm..l.e" she said weakly before falling unconscious.
"Stay with me Pinkie please stay with me." she pleaded with the pink mare.
An ancient yak entered the hut he was large like a Minotaur, he slowly approached the couple. His splotched fur covered his left eye making it impossible to see what he was bout to say.
"Calm my child this joyous pony will be fine," The healer spoke with confidence "Let me tend to her needs now and rest child."
"In the hay ah will," Her voice raising an octave " Ah ain't resting till ah know she is better."
"Then be quiet and let me work." the yak healer sternly spoke.
"Fine!" Applejack spoke with excessive worry as she lay on a bench near them watching.
"This will take some time worry pony," as the yak made a few prayers before healing the oddly smiling pony.
He then added " May the mountain be our path."
Applejack felt drained all of her muscles ached because she pulled the sleigh carrying Pinkie Pie out of the Crystal ridge during the storm. The yaks were curious as the magic exploded in their sky late that night. This was the reason there was a search party into Crystal ridge searching for whatever may have been the cause. To their surprise they find two ponies from the lands to south one was wounded and the other tended to her injuries. She observed the large olden yak rubbing a pungent smelling cream across the wound on her head.
"Is my cupcake gonna be apple good yak?" her eyes drooped but she was attentive in her words.
"Hmm she will be fine worry pony," He spoke softly " She needs rest and I can tell this one will be dancing again."
"Tha..t i..s g..rea.t." Applejack finally closed her eyes as her chest heaved rhythmically to her own heart beat.
"Yak healers are never heard so it seems." he smiled from the bottom of his heart as he covered her with a blanket.
Applejack was waking up from a dream where she was sitting by an apple tree with Pinkie Pie. In this dream they were singing a lilting tune together while munching on apple. Strangely she was waking in a similar manner she heard a strange little ditty being sung in the room.
Pinkie Pie singing
"May your heart be ready for the fulfillment I shall bring for I will be a whirlwind of love and sugar."
"We will walk the path of hooves one each in another and my hoof will never let you go even with a cupcake in my eye."
"I will never betray you as we share the same heart my sugar throb we will feel the embrace that we can make out of life."
"Together we shall happy and sad but we shall bake an amazing ApplePie together." Pinkie Pie finished singing softly with a twinkle in her eye.
Applejack rose from her seat and spoke embarrassingly " Sugar you made my barn red with apples."
"You are awake oh fiddlesticks I wanted to surprise you Applejack," she then spoke speedily " But i am happy you are awake the cranky yak was shaking his hoof at me cause I was baking in the kitchen this morning to make you breakfast while you slept!"
"Whoa nelly," she was amazed at her mare friends lung capacity " You were supposed to be resting darling."
"But i was bored laying there but you looked precious enough to eat and then I thought to myself I bet you my last three cupcakes that you would be very hungry!" she spoke with a tinge of blush touching her cheeks.
Applejack gave her mare friend a stern stare that caused the pink mare to lay the bed with a complaining sigh. Pinkie Pie then threw her pillow at her friend with a gleeful smile. The pillow hit Applejack straight in the face sliding down her right cheek she couldn't help but smile at her amazing friend. She smacked herself in the face as she thought I can't fall in love with my cousin at least I think she is. But as she stared deeply into those sparkling eye's she knew she lost the battle.
"What are you thinking Jack of my cupcake heart?" she asked innocently.
"Ah was thinking you need more rest." Applejack she said to the blushing pink mare.
She then whispered softly into Pinkie's ear "Well cupcake I think you and Ah need to have a talk sometime when you are better."
The yak shaman came in the entrance wielding an old incense covered in yak runes. This incense was emitting a soft purple smoke that was covering the entire room. Applejack was about to ask him about the the smoke when her eye's started to drift off into a slumber. Pinkie Pie was still awake as she covered her dear friend with a blanket the yak only blinked at her. He then grabbed another incense and another until he had six of his herbal incense burning in the room. He could barely stand awake even as he covered his nose with a mask, he watched the smiling pony slowly fall asleep extending a hoof over her friend.
The yak stared hard at the pink pony "I still am not sure if she is sleeping that is some amazing life force she has."
The large yak from the rescue entered the room "Ahh I see the test is upon them."
"I know its cruel but all who enter the village must pass the rite." grumbled the yak shaman.
"But these are ponies is it even possible for them to pass the test it took me three days to pass mine!" he was nearly shouting at the elder.
The elder raised his hoof to his lips to shush the other "Your test was special for a different reason Byron, but these ponies have to pass an altogether trial."
The two yaks looked on upon the mares filled with apprehension as one would nudge the other with whispered words. Applejack was falling into a field full of pink colored apples decorating her tree's.
"What in the hay happened to my apples!" She yelled as she bucked a tree.
The applies fell onto the ground leaving a smear on the ground AJ could smell a extra sweet smell from them. She wandered around her farm noticing that is was he orchard and not it at the same time giving her an answer.
"Impossible this can't be it's a dream," an idea struck her and she yelled "Princess Luna are you there." No answer came causing her heart to flutter but she walk on looking for an answer. She came to a tree that had a door with a big red cross mark colored upon it. An eyebrow raised as she opened it walking into a old memory that instantly brought tears to her eye's.
"Hey there little Applepie wanna talk to daddy about why you crying up here." said a large mango colored stallion walking up some stairs.
"No daddy ah am mad at you leaving us for work again!" said a tiny little hiding in a box in the attic of the barn.
He chuckled as he put his hooves around the box "Now darling daddy loves you and all the apples with his great big heart, but you know daddy got to sell his stock soon or they go real bad."
"But daddy ah wanna play some more pretty please," she then raised her hoof at his direction "And why are you taking mommy too that's not fair."
"Now my little Applepie your mommy needs to see a special doctor over in Canterlot so I figured I will see my apples there." he was smiling but his eye's looked darker as he mentioned his dear wife.
"But you and mommy have been going there a lot lately not fair we don't get to go." she started sniffling as she spoke.
This was an old nightmare she had ever since she was a foal her memory grew dark as it shifted. She was in a graveyard with older brother and Granny smith crying at a two graves. She remembered what happened her father and mother had died in a mudslide near Canterlot they said the mud fell like a dragons scream crushing the small caravan.
She began to shed tears more as Big Mac brought her sister in for a monster of a hug. Granny smith was holding a small foaling in her hooves as she whispered words to the passing parents.
"Don't worry you two ol granny here will make sure they are raised proper." she said at last with a falling tear.
Applejack walked out of the room feeling hazy as she stumbled onto a tree that held her up. Her thoughts nearly spoke as she saw a tree with two sky blue colored eye's holding her up this tree was smiling. Applejack backed up to the door behind her shaking her head several times trying to straighten her thoughts. The tree was still there smiling with a hoof like branch extended in a friendly manner.
"What in the hay are you?" she asked confused.
"That's silly jack of my heart it's me Pinkie Pie." she said smiling still looking like an apple tree.
"But ugh your a tree?" she said still baffled.
"Oh that's easy, you see in your dream I am perceived as a tree as a sign that you have some internal struggle,' she then took a deep breath and explained " That's cause you are confused as to define what I am to you and you have been trying to make it simple but denying yourself the obvious answer yup that's at least 40 percent of it!"
Applejack stared at the pink crazy tree as it slowly transformed into her cupcake. She giggled as she pounced on the worrying pony with a great big hug looking past her. She slowly stroked AJ's mane whispering nonsensical words into her ears calming the young mare.
"Nasty door you have there sorry I popped in there earlier and saw a few things important to you." Pinkie said calmly as her mane slightly straightened out.
"Important," she said angrily "Ah been trying to forget such since ah was a foal!"
She then added " It's my fault ya know ah told my father off before he went."
Pinkie was still hugging her friend as she talked the dream was beginning to shake the world around them slowly. Pinkie extended a hoof touching the frame of reality stopping the shaking for a moment.
Applejack was sobbing now her feelings unleashed "It's my fault ah am the worst apple of the bunch."
"Now that is silly Jack of my heart you make me happy and smiley all the time cause you know I think you," she was blushing as she spoke "Your c..uuut..e!"
She then put a hoof to Applejack's mouth and asked a serious question "Do you want to see their last moments Jackie?"
"Wha.. is that even possible, never mind yes please Pinkie." she pleaded roughly.
The dream began shaking harder as Pinkie let go of the frame of reality in this dream. She smiled mysteriously as she disappeared into the dream. Applejack called out as the dream faded to black leaving her in the abyss by herself.
"Pinkie where are you what in the hay." she said before noticing a light in the distance.
She then ran to the light in a frantic pace kicking up more darkness behind her. She saw crystal globe replaying the same scene over and over two ponies huddling in the darkness.
"Honey is our babies gonna be ok?" asked the mare.
"You serious darling our Applejack was already bucking the smaller tree's she will be fine." The stallion spoke as he pushed against the wall that was slowly caving in.
"What about our other two foal's." worry was on her face as she asked these simple questions.
"Once again my love our little AJ is quite responsible knowing her she will take care of her siblings," He looked at his wife with smile " Plus Granny Smith is there so they will be fine."
Tears fell down her face as she sobbed into the globe holding it very tight. The colors replayed that scene every fifteen seconds before she stood up.
"Thank you!" she yelled at the abyss whirling around her.
"I am sorry daddy for being a brat and I am sorry mommy for not being there!" she yelled her voice hoarse.
Her eye's began closing losing sight of the globe, she made a desperate attempt to touch it once more. She sat up in a rush bonking her head against the shaman yak startling him onto his rump.
"What your awake already." he said surprised.
She got off her bed and raised a hoof to punch him " What in the tarnations did you do to me and Pinkie."
He raised his hoof in defense as he spoke "We the yaks must pass a trial to enter village of yaks that includes you ponies too."
She slowly lowered her hoof "Where is my Cupcake!"
"Right here Jackie!" said the cheerful mare underneath Applejack's bed.
The yak rubbed his eye's slowly and said "This one didn't dream but entered an spiritual meditation state that is unheard of in my village."
He then spoke rashly "How did you do that anyways!"
She giggled "It's a lot easier to do then walking and playing on the fourth plane hi again." She was waving upwards as if greeting someone that could not be seen.
Applejack rubbed her nose repeatedly "And the point was!"
"Only the strongest may live and enter here in the Village of crystals." He said reverently.
He then added " You two pass by overcoming the demons of your past you have become strong."
Pinkie grinned "Well we got something out of it two didn't we Jackie."
AJ smiled as she examined the still healing mare with her eye's renewed of new possibilities. The yak coughed attempting to break the silence but his attempt was in vain.
"We shall hold a feast in the honor of two brave warrior's who passed the rite of crystal." spoke the shaman as he left the room.
"wha hey there Cupcake I saw you in my dream but how did you pass your's?" asked Applejack.
"Well I kinda of dream super fast and I think I will sing you my story if you don't mind do ya do ya!" she said cheerfully with a hint of sorrow in her eye's.
"Hehe of course sugar cube anything you want." Her heart was healing renewing it self from conflict.
"Okie dokie lokie here I go!" she said brilliantly.
Pinkie pie singing
"Long ago in a tower there lived two unicorns who lived in the past with no names to be remembered."
"Life was research and work toiling to the left while toiling to the right there life was barren."
"But in the tower the two found solace with each other creating life in the belly of one with the strength of the other.'
"Sadly the one could not survive the birth of a young filly and passed giving her life in exchange for her's"
"The older could not stop his smolder as he carried the foal to the edge of Equestria his heart filled with anger."
"He could not love the foal for he lost his love when his mare passed in the night the day's grew bare."
"A farm known for its eccentrics was ahead of him he placed the child woefully but guilt fully at the door."
"The door was rang and with a poof of magic he was gone leaving the foal to cry at some farm in the middle of nowhere."
"Low and behold the door opened to a pair of earth ponies who were barren and had no children of their own."
"They took the foal in to be raised as one of their own in time the magic of the little filly restored the two giving her sister's in time."
"But the filly lost her memory until this day she almost lost to herself when the light came as she heard her friend's voice in the dark."
she stopped singing
"C'mere Cupcake." Applejack held her filly friend making a decision in her mind.
"Ya know Pinkie I want you to be mine there ah said it." Applejack said with pride.
"Huh but why me?" Pinkie said confused and blushing making her all the more cuter.
"Simple Cupcake I want you in mah life alway's." she said again with a stubborn look.
Pinkie Pie began smiling "Can I throw a Apple Pie party then a huge ginormous party and invite everyone we love all of them!"
The Pink mare was positively vibrating in one spot as a party cannon fell out of her mane making a loud thud. There was an amazing pink explosion of confetti that covered the yaks village for entire week. The Yaks were amazed to see to ponies so in love with each other that it caused most to blush to watch them. At the end of the week the rest of the mane six made it to yak village after receiving some news from the party pony league. The letter from the party pony league stated Unnatural happy levels in yak village that is located in Crystal ridge.
Twilight spoke to the others " That much happy can only be Pinkie."
Spike burped out a letter pink letter that stated one word "Yup."
Rarity then replied with a shock "Oh my dear she can surprise us even from over there."
Another burb later "Miss you guys too also we are needing some extra warm coats and sixteen cupcakes."
Rarity smiled as she went to her carousel to start stitching the finest coats in yak fashion.
Fluttershy then said as she watched Rarity leave " I better get us some goat guides."
Rainbow Dash only smiled as she dashed on ahead of them she missed pranking with her best friend.
Twilight grabbed her checklist and begins writing with bronze colored quill as she spoke "Gonna be a long list with Pinkie around its always interesting."
