A Not so Sweet Suprise
A Sweet Awakening
Load Full StoryIn a dark room beneath Sugarcube Corner, a Pegasus colt began to stir...
Rumble opened his eyes, trying to get a glimpse at his surroundings. It was hard to make out through the darkness, and he still had a pain in his head, but he could faintly make out objects in the dark. In one corner, there was what appeared to be a table, with what seemed like head-sized lumps sitting on top. There was also a small cart next to him, with various tools atop it. He couldn't feel much of his body, but was aware he was tied to a table of some sort. Just as he was about to look around more, the lights suddenly flashed on. He closed his eyes, having been briefly blinded. As he slowly opened them, he saw the face of a carrot coloured unicorn staring back at him. He gasped in surprise. He knew the filly as Pumpkin Cake, she was a few years younger than him and was bullied quite badly at school.
"Hello Rumble" said Pumpkin kindly. She smiled, it was somewhat reminiscent of the kind smile she often gave to fillies and colts her own age, but bore a hint of malice. "We've been waiting a while for you to wake up. How rude of you" she said, shaking her head firmly before turning away.
"We?" Rumble asked in a shaking voice, quite frightened of the filly, something that surprised him. Just then, he heard someone else step forward and looked over to see Pound Cake standing to the left of his sister. His expression showed no emotion at all, simply staring at Rumble, who's breathing began to quicken.
Pound didn't speak, continuing to stare at Rumble. Pumpkin stepped forward once more. "We're going to have lots of fun, the three of us. Oh yes, so much fun" she said, in a not quite sing song-y voice. She picked up a sharp blade from the cart, and held it up to Rumble's right leg. "You should never of joined in your previous fun" she said, looking up at the Pegasus. "Hurting me was a big mistake".
Without a second's hesitation she drew the knife down his leg, creating a long incision reaching to the very bottom of his hoof. She drew the end just reaching over the edge of his under-hoof. Rumble screamed out in pain, surprised by the feeling soaring through his body. Pumpkin smiled in joy as he screamed, her ears hurting very slightly, but she it didn't bother her.
Then she motioned for her brother to repeat the process to his other legs, and soon they all had a matching cut down the centre. Then, using her blade, she pried the flesh away from the muscle, and cut it loose. After a short while, Rumble was missing all skin on his legs. He hoped it would end. He didn't care what happened, he just wanted it to end. However, his horror increased when Pound and Pumpkin each took a hacksaw and positioned it above each of his wings.
"Are you a good flier, Rumble?" asked Pumpkin with a smile. She tilted her head slightly when asking the question, and Rumble was frightened by how easily she could switch between frightening and kind.
"Y-Yes..." Rumble shakily admitted, scared it was the wrong answer.
"You wont be anymore" Pumpkin said, her smile vanishing, and with one nod to her brother, they began to saw, Pumpkin laughing maniacally whilst being splattered with blood from the many nerves connecting his wings to his Body. As for Rumble himself, his body burned in pain, once again wishing it all be over. His wings...How could he lose his wings?
Tears poured down his face from the pain he had experienced, wetting his coat as they went. "Aw poor little diddums is crying. You want me to kiss your boo boo and make it all better?" Pumpkin asked with mock sadness. Then she let out another laugh, turning quickly and bucking out with her back hooves. Her hooves met Rumble's ribs, legs and flank. He screamed with each hoof that made contact. She was quite strong for a filly of her age.
Once Pumpkin ceased her kicking, Pound spoke at last. "You know, I looked up to you before. You were kind and smart, and a good flier. I wanted to hear how you learnt to fly, maybe you could've helped me learn myself. But then you decided to yell at me and my sister with the rest of them, call us blank flanks and cry babies. What is wrong with you?" he asked, a look of anger upon his face. "You weren't born with that mark on your flank and you know it. You deserve to die. You deserve pain. And you deserve death". Rumble became more terrified with every word. "I wont miss you, Rumble. No one will. Not your girlfriend, not your brother, not your friends. No one, will miss you". Then, as quick as can be, Pound lashed out with his front hooves and smashed Rumbles head in with one kick. He may have wings, and his sister may have a horn, but they're earth ponies at heart. And earth ponies, are the strongest damn race in all of Equestria.
Pumpkin stepped forward to skin the corpse, as well as shaving his head, it would be useful later. She set aside Rumble's organs then cleaned up the mess, moving his organs into a bucket.
Many hours later, she presented the finished product to her brother. A ragdoll, made from Rumble's skin and mane. She had gotten out the blood stains, though it had taken some time. A pair of purple buttons served as eyes, borrowed from an old dress Pumpkin had grown out of. She went to sleep cuddling the toy, for it was soft as could be. Her dreams were filled with Rumble's screams, as she happily remembered her play time.
