Longbox One-Shots, Book 1by EngineGearChaptersThe CounselorA Funny Thing Happened on the way to Twilight's HammerItem 51Agent MustangThe CounselorThe Counselor: Agent Spike and the Flam brothers must come up with a plan to keep Gilda out of the Heroes Initiative. Flim and Flam were enjoying their breakfast in a local diner. It was mainly the usual, egg sandwich with waffles and sausage. Suddenly, a news brief pops up from the television; the reporter, a mint-green unicorn, announced the recent events happening in Equestria. "And thus the battle between wanted fugitive Fluttershy and Spec Ops Gilda ended as you see from this footage," the reporter said. "It clearly shows Fluttershy dominating Gilda in a fight to the death, only to hold back for some reason. Gilda is now being held in custody under the supervision of General Harshwhinny, who was unable to contact several news broadcasts. The whereabouts of Fluttershy are unknown at this time. More updates coming soon. In other news, what started as recurring thunderstorms near Appleloosa turned out to be quite a surprise. Experts were on the scene, where they took footage of what appears to be a major battle between an alicorn and a giant suit of armor. Rainbow Dash has denied any claims of making the suit as the giant suit is now in the custody of W.I.N.G.S. The details are unknown at this time, but one thing's for sure: We're not alone in the universe," the reporter concluded. "Stay tuned for more updates." "Can't you believe all this, brother?" Flim said, nonchalantly. "One minute, we're enjoying our usual breakfast, and the next minute, the media is going around talking about monsters, alicorns, and a giant suit of armor. You hear all that, and it completely ruins the mode." "Agreed," said Flam. "It not easy working for W.I.N.G.S., I'll tell you that." "True, very true," Flim replied. As the brothers continue their conversion, Spike enters the diner in a seemingly pissed off mood. No one else except Flim and Flam noticed. "Hey Spike, why the long face? Come and pile a seat with us." Flam said jokily. Spike didn't answer. He only asked the waitress for a cup of coffee with cream and sat with the brothers. "Say, have you tried their waffles? They make the best waffles, you should try some," Flim commented. Spike still didn't answer. [Flim] Let me guess, it didn't go well as you planned it, did it? [Spike] NO...no, it didn't. In fact, it went way worse than I expected. The Council threatened to fire me if I ever speak out of turn again. [Flam] So, We're guessing that they rejected the Initiative? [Spike] No, of course not. The good news is that they're going to accept the Initiative. Even after the crap Spitfire put them through. [Flim] So, what the bad news? [Spike] They want Gilda on the team. [Flam] GILDA!? That has to be the most idiotic, ill-conceived, and downright suicidal request ever! I mean, have you seen her recent records after she took the super soldier serum? They gave her a second dose and she got even crazier ever since! By the way, the serum wasn't even the real McCoy. She got two doses of an experimental prototype, a dose of Fluttershy's blood, and BOOM! She turns into a freaking abomination of nature itself. And after all that, they want her on the team?! The Red Abomination? [Spike] They really don't like when you call her that. They threatened to fire anyone mentioning that name. [Flim] But what about the "Duel of the Titans" incident? [Spike] They going to pin that on Fluttershy. [Flam] Fluttershy?! [Spike] Not the pegasus you want to piss off. [Flam] Can't the director do something about this outrage? [Spike] Spitfire can't disobey a direct order from the Council. She ignored them on multiple occasions, but this time, they're insisting that Gilda should be on the team, or else they'll cut down our pay grades. The three sat quietly, thinking of the predicament situation. Because of the Council's decision, Fluttershy would still be a fugitive while Gilda would be extorted for her crimes and place on the initiative's roster. Spitfire would be forced to acknowledge the fact that she's putting a deranged psycho on the Initiative. Suddenly, Spike's expression changes from pissed off to idealistic. "Say, what are your clearance levels?" Spike asked. "Easy, we're both Class 6," Flim replied, but then his voice trailed off. "...just like you." It was at this moment Flim and Flam realized why Spike asked that question. "You telling us there's a Class 7?", Flam said. "Technically, there's a total of 10 classes, but I'll cut to the chase. Gilda is under the custody of General Harshwhinny." "So let me get this straight. The Council wants W.I.N.G.S. to send one of our own guys down to see Harshwhinny and ask for Gilda, who we don't want." Flim asked. "Exactly," Spike replied. "I've got it!" Flam exclaimed. "Here's the plan, we'll send in a patsy to sabotage the meeting." "A patsy?" Spike questioned. "Exactly," Flim stated. "We need someone to screw it up. Someone so irksome, Harshwhinny will never release Gilda. We could do it. My brother and I make great patsies." "Of course, you would. Your patsies are "legendary". In fact, when I think of the word "patsy", I thinking of....." "Alright, Spike!! Our patsies not that great. I mean, when was the last time we let you down with our patsies?" "Let me think, there was Neigh Orleans, Baltimare, Las Pegasus, and did I forget Manehatten." Neither of the brothers spoke. "Good, I've made my point. For this situation, we need a slightly different skill set. If we want Harshwhinny to refuse this request, then we have to send someone that will truly annoy her. Someone abrasive, arrogant, with little to no respect for authority, someone who will offend the general to her very core-" "I know, you mean the counsel-" Flam interrupted. "No." Spike cutting him off. "We're pretty sure you're describing her," Flim said. "I know damn well who I'm describing. That's why my answer is no. Just...stop it right now. I'm not calling the Counselor..." *********** Meanwhile, at a local bar, Harshwhinny sat on a stool, drunk off her ass, and drowning her sorrows away. "Reload", she kept repeating. Suddenly, the bar door opens. A pegasus mare enters with the sunlight blocking out her face. "Ahhhhh, the smell of defeat....and stale wine. Hate to say, "I told you so," but there was a reason why that super-soldier project was put on ice for a "simple" and "blatant" reason only. "Dash", Harshwhinny coldly murmured. "General," Rainbow Dash replied. "How ironic, you've stopped making weapons for Equestria, yet you became a weapon yourself." "Touche," Dash commented. "I've been hearing rumors of you having an "unusual problem". " "You should talk," Harshwhinny said sarcastically. "You should listen," says Rainbow Dash, in a serious tone. ************ The next morning, Flim and Flam are enjoying their usual at the local diner when Spike comes in, this time in a cheerful tone. "So, how did it go this time?" Flim asked. "All I could say is: Mission accomplished. Gilda will remain in her holding cell, for now," says Spike. "I take that the Counselor outdid herself, yes?" asked Flam. "Harshwhinny got so mad she tried to have the Counselor removed from the bar. She kicked her out by herself, dragging the Counselor outside and throwing her in the dumpster. The reason why she did it by herself is because the customers and bartender weren't going to remove the Counselor. Apparently, you can't wear Army Dress Blues in a bar, so they thought she was disrespecting her rank." "So how did that go over?" asked Flim. "Dash bought the bar. It's scheduled for demolition next week to make way for a panda zoo." Spike raised his cup "A toast to a job well done." The brothers toasted, knowing that in the end, everything turned out okay for Spitfire and W.I.N.G.S. and Harshwhinny got she deserved: a reprimanding lecture by the Council for disrespecting her rank status. Author's Note Well, here you go guys, the first part in the one-shots. By the way, that mint-green unicorn was Lyra Heartstrings, who perfectly fits the role of Christine Everhart. Stay tuned, folks. A Funny Thing Happened on the way to Twilight's HammerSpike drove his rolly through the desert. Ever since the lightning storms stopped, a strange object was reported to have landed 10 miles from Appleloosa. W.I.N.G.S. has ordered any available agents to report to Appleloosa, designating code "Zodiac" to determine if it's useful or poses a threat. But right now, Spike was feeling too hungry to even care about his objective. Luckily, there was a mini mart nearby, so he could grab a bite and move on. As Spike entered the mart, he grabs a basket to go for a little shopping. He takes whatever snack he can find; potato chips and a soda. The problem was the last item to pick and it was the chocolate chip cookies; he couldn't decide if he could take the crunchy ones or the chewy ones. While he was deciding, a bunch of ponies in ski masks burst through the doors, holding the clerk at gunpoint. "Everyone on the ground, NOW!!!," the lead robber shouted. "Put all the money in the bag!!!" "Who owns that rolly outside?" a shorter robber asked. The clerk, paralyzed in fear, didn't respond. "He asked you a question," A skinny robber said. "who.....owns....that....ROLLY?!" "I do, but technically, I don't own it," says Spike nonchalantly. "More like a rental." The fourth robber, a pegasus, pointed his sights on Spike. "Throw in the keys. Toss 'em right here." Spike complied, tossing the keys to the robbers. The four then turn to the clerk. "Alright, start emptying the registrar, start filling this bag with cigarettes and cash, and also--," Before the lead robber could finish, Spike interrupt with a cleverly thought-out plan. "Excuse me, I also have this gun. You guys would probably need that." The robbers, however, over-reacted and pointed all of their guns at Spike. "Throw the gun, throw it now!!!" the lead robber shouted. "But, if I do that, It might misfire," Spike said innocently. "Tell you what, I'll slide down to the next aisle, okay?" the lead robber nodded and signaled the pegasus to collect the gun. Spike slides down his gun to the robber. When the robber reached to grab the gun, Spike threw a pack of flour and a flash grenade at the other robbers, blinding them. The fourth robber looked up to see a blurry figure running towards him. But he knew what hit him, Spike immediately skid past him, grabbing his shotgun and shooting off his wing. The robber screamed in pain as Spike knocked him out with the shotgun as he preceded to subdue the other robbers. Spike went to work on these guys, kneecap one robber, slamming another robber's face to the floor, and finally punching the lead robber out cold. After the ordeal was done, Spike went to the cashier to pay for his items. The clerk, speechless of what transpired and what she just saw, immediately took the money. "Sorry about the mess, I couldn't decide," says Spike as he collects his purchased snacks, including the chocolate chip cookies; both crunchy and chewy. "Keep the change." "T-thanks," the clerk stammered. "But, what should I tell the police?" Spike simply smiled. "Tell them those Tae Kwon Do lessons really paid off." Spike took his keys from the unconscious robbers, collected their weapons, chained them and left the scene with the clerk calling the cops, clearly shocked by the events that clearly happened. Author's Note One more story to go. Keep in mind, this will be a long one, so bear with me. Ciao. Item 51Sparrow Lightning wasn't too sure about this plan. His marefriend, Ebony Lunar had always been the brains, while he was mostly the muscle (with some brains for quick-thinking). Lightning had second thoughts about this "work" they've been doing. The way he saw it, It was only a matter of time until their luck ran out. Even since the "Incident", their bank accounts, including Lunar's late parents' life insurance, were flush out due to the stock market crashing, literally. Ebony Lunar was an unemployed nurse, with extraordinary surgical talent and he was an unemployed inventor and scientist with a pronounced talent for technology. They were made for each other and so far, it hasn't worked out until a "golden opportunity" came along. Sparrow was about to said something when Ebony cut him off. "I know and I can just tell you're about to say it......so...do. not. say it." "I think we should bail." "I knew it. I just knew it." "Ebony, just listen to me for once; I don't think we can keeping doing this. I mean all those 'jobs', and for what? Just to fix our financial problems? Is that how you see it?" "I see this as a sign, okay? That thing fell from the skies, into your lab." "What makes you so sure that the sign is pointing in the right direction?" "You made me sure because you got it to work." Lightning was still not budging, and Ebony could feel it. What he needed were support, confidence, and a little bit of innovation. "I know this right sounds hard, but I don't want to wait for somepony to give us a chance. It's time that we took a chance for ourselves." Sparrow sighed. "You're right." Ebony smiled "You know I'm right. I'm always right. About you, that is." "Alright, let's go." As the unicorn and bat-pony placed their masks on, they stepped out of the cart and entered a local bank with a strange looking weapon with them. The ponies and guards looked their weapon strangely before it fires across the bank. The ponies panicked as the guards were easily taken down one by one. The rest of the guards straight up ran for their lives. The robbers demanded that the bank tellers open the vaults, grabbing as many bits as they can, with one of them calming down the terrified civilians, and then making a getaway, blasting near the cops trying to stop them. ///////////////// "What you boys are looking at is Las Pegasus, five days after the Battle of Manehattan. Manechester, seven days the Battle of Manehattan, Ponyville, two days after that robbery and nine days after the Battle of Manehattan, and finally Canterlot, yesterday afternoon" Wind Rider concluded. "My brother and I were just there, they have one of the best fancy restaurants ever," Flam said, irritating Rider and then shutting up at the same time. By the look of things, Wind Rider wasn't very pleased about this. "Of the alien tech we've recovered, how is it that only one of them wasn't collected? This footage alone proves that not only have you failed in collecting all of them, this gun is the only one functioning, while the rest are all dormant. To be fair, I don't think both of you are taking this assignment very seriously." "That's funny" Flim commented. "I was just thinking the same thing about you. While you've been in here gathering video clips, we've been out investigating. Turns out a motel manager met with the couple matching the description; they paid him in cash, full. We'd liked to get a go ahead to apprehend them." "Yeah, yeah, I understand. You got the go ahead, Flim and Spike." Wind Rider froze when he realized his mistake. [Flam] Spike? "Sorry, a force of habit." [Flim] Yeah, we all miss that little dragon. "Alright boys, your mission is to find the alien weapon and neutralize the outlaws." //////////////// "Geez, maybe you should hold the gun more often", Sparrow Lightning complained, massaging his foreleg. "If I keep this up, I might suffer an advanced case of carpal tunnel." With the authorizes on their trail, they needed to take a break from their "work" and lay low for a while Sparrow Lightning looked and saw Ebony smiling back at him. It was a genuine, fun-loving, laughable smile. They can finally start a new life, never worrying about money issues, and it's all because of the alien gun that fell into Lightning's lab. "So, Ebony....how much did we get?" "Enough." "Enough what?" "Enough to do whatever we want." The two embraced and kissed as they went to bed. Before they had a full make-out session, there was loud music next door, booming with high volume. "I know this song, it's Free Bird; This one has a great guitar solo," Lightning commented. Ebony gave him a deadpanned look. It was almost like he didn't know how loud the solo was blaring. "Alright, alright, I'll tell them to keep it down." Sparrow Lightning went to the room beside his own so that he could ask the ponies in there to turn down the volume of the music they were playing. "Hello, anypony in there? Could you please keep the volume down?" Suddenly, the door opened as Flim and Flam jumped him and placed a restraining bolt on his horn for safety measures. Sparrow tried to fight back, but the brothers proved to be stronger than him. Soon, they had him pinned down on the ground as they tried to cuff him. "Quit squirming!" one of the agents shouted. "This will all be over soon." However, Sparrow wasn't about to give up and managed to pick himself up and smash one of the agents against the wall and kick the other in the face. He used this opportunity to knock the music blaring stereo off the shelf to warn his marefriend. "EBONY!!" he shouted. "IT'S THE COP---" Sparrow felt a hoof in his mouth, shoving in a gag. Ebony, without a second thought, grabbed the weapon, arming it. "HIT THE DECK, BABY," she yelled as the weapon blasted through the walls, revealing two unicorns gagging her coltfriend. [Flam] We can talk through---- "YOU BASTARDS!! GET THE BUCK OFF HIM!!" Ebony fires again as the unicorns took cover. "Lightning, you okay, baby?" As Ebony searched the other room, she found her coltfriend, bounded and gagged. He was trying to say something to Ebony, but she couldn't make it out. It was almost if he was trying to warn her. Before she realized it, the two unicorns jumped her and tried to take away the weapon. However, Ebony fought back as Sparrow charged between them, knocking away the weapon. It spun and spun, getting twitching and haywire, and as the four watched in utter shock, the weapon fired. Bits flew everywhere from the destroyed duffle bags and landed on the floor, most of them burnt and dented. Some time later, Sparrow Lightning and Ebony Lunar were tied up, arguing about handle the situation. One of the agents levitated the weapon and showed it to the couple. "Look, about the roughhousing in the room, I'm really sorry." "And I'm really sorry for blasting a hole in the wall. We good?" Ebony asked innocently. The two agents, however, weren't buying it. [Flim] Fifty. Fifty known alien objects hit the ground after the portal closed above Manehattan. All dormant and dead. Except for this one. The weapon was then placed inside a case to bring back to HQ. [Flam] This one works just fine, do you mind telling us how? "Well....Sparrow got it to work." Ebony exclaimed. Sparrow gave her one of those looks like she was kidding or not. "What? You did. You did get it work. It fell inside your lab, you fixed it and got it to work." "I can show how." "He'd loved to show you how." "Just anything but, we can't, we can't go to jail, please?" "Look at him, Look at us, we can't go to jail." "Jail?" said Flim. "Who said anything about jail?" Sparrow and Ebony had a huge sigh of relief. "Our mission," Flam says. " was to find the alien weapon, and to neutralize both of you." Flam took out a knife as the couple gulped with panic. //////////////////// "Agent Wind Rider," Fleetfoot said, called from communications. "Agents Flim and Flam are requesting an entry." "Send them in." Wind Rider replied. "About damn time you two showed up. You were supposed to report in ten hours ago. 50,000 bits worth property damage and I've got Director Spitfire breathing down on my neck. You boys better have a good reason---" Wind Rider stopped to see not only Flim and Flam but the outlaw couple next to them. "Agent Rider," said Flim. "My brother and I would like you to meet Ebony Lunar and Sparrow Lightning. Sparrow here is the latest addition to W.I.N.G.S.' R&D think tank, he's going to help us reverse-engineer some of the alien technology. Ready to earn that badge?" "You bet," Sparrow said, excited. Before they can leave, Wind Rider stopped them. "Stop right there you two, I---" "Almost forgot" Flam interrupted. "Ebony is now your new assistant, and when I mean "assistant", I mean your new protégé." "That...is ridiculous." "Don't worry, Wind Rider," Flim said. "She'll learn everything about you, how you handle missions, and the others thing you do." "Well, I don't see another chair." [Flam] "Now that is ridiculous." The two brothers left with Sparrow to the R&D, ignoring Wind Rider's calls to come back, leaving him with Ebony Lunar. "Do you know how to make coffee?" Wind Rider asked. "No." Wind Rider was smitten; Not because he was already extremely unimpressed and not too keen on the brothers' idea, considering Ebony's incompetence in such work here in W.I.N.G.S., lacking any particular capability, other than her medical skills he researched. He was smitten on the fact that she's not skilled enough to make coffee. Author's Note So sorry this story took long, holiday break and all. Anyways, here it is, the third story of the Longbox One-Shots. I decided to add one more story after seeing Agent Carter. Next on the list is Agent Mustang. Stay tuned. Agent Mustang"AJ, just give me your coordinates, I'll find a safe landing site for you." "Too bad this ain't gonna be a safe landing. Ah'll try to force it down." "I'll get Comet on the line; he'll know what to do, please....hang on." "Listen sugarcube, this is ma choice, ya hear?" "I hear you, Applejack, I here you." ///////////////// 3 Years Later: Sept. Solar Year 1948 "Mustang.....Mustang.......MUSTANG!!!!!!!" "Yeah, Yeah... I'm coming," Mustang said begrudgingly. It has been three long years since Applejack's heroic sacrifice. A day has not gone for Mustang to remember the last words to said to her. He's been on missions back and forth, but now, instead of working field cases, Mustang was stuck compiling data, facing indifference from his superiors, and treated condescendingly. He's been demoted to rookie status for almost six months; all because he punched a drunken agent for badmouthing AJ. "We need that report on the last mission status, pronto." his boss said, toning a cigar. "And while you're at it, get me that the boys some coffee, will ya?" Mustang sighed. "Yes sir," With that, Mustang went to pick up the mission files. Once he got the files and coffee, he overlooked an important case file codenamed "Argos." It's been labeled as a Class 10 mission and whenever there was a Class 10 mission, it would usually take a dozen agents to complete it. But this was different; nopony has ever completed this mission...ever. "Uh, sir, What's with Mission: Argos?" Mustang questioned. "Just a very difficult mission we've been trying to complete for over two years now. But why am I even telling you this? Get back to work, rookie." "But, sir. This mission seems important. Maybe I should report this to the higher ups." "Look, if I wanted the contact the higher ups, I would've done it already. But the fact that we're struggling with this Class 10 mission is enough just to find the proper agents to complete it. So, would you kindly piss off and get back to work?" "Yes, sir." As Mustang gave his boss the files and coffee, he went back to his desk when the case line rang. "Case Line!!" the boss shouted. All the agents stood up, including Mustang. The boss answered the phone. "Class X Mission: Requires 2-3 agents to finish." As Mustang went to volunteer, several agents were quick enough to beat him first."Sorry, Mustang," the boss said. "This mission requires high-ranking agents, not a rookie like yourself." The other agents laughed as Mustang sat down. "Sir, I've been missions like this before, and I can help if you give me the chance." "You wanna help? Start by writing an apology letter to the agent you sock in the face six months ago." "With all due respect, sir, he was drunk and at the same time, talking shit about Applejack." "Yeah, yeah...we all miss her, sport. Anyway, get back to work." As the office closes up for the night, the boss walked up to Mustang. "Rookie, the boys and I are going for some drinks. I could ask you to join with us, but, HQ wants sompony to stay in for the night and proofread these reports. See you tomorrow, rookie." Rookie. Mustang despised that term, and how it's stuck with him for six months. It sucked working at a desk job. The pay was crummy, his co-workers belittle him every single day, his boss has no faith in his skills, and the long hours of work is stressful and boring. As Mustang finished up filing and proofreading the reports, the case line rang. "We've got a location on 'Argos'. 40.6512 degrees North, 75.9522 degrees West. The enemy will not, I repeat, will not hesitate to use lethal force. 3 to 5 agents recommended to complete this mission." Mustang wrote down the coordinates as fast as he could, but then thought for a moment, realizing that this could be his chance to prove himself. Without any second thought, Agent Mustang went to complete the mission alone, carrying a tricked out briefcase with him. Arriving at the location, Mustang ran into a couple of thugs guarding the warehouse. One of the tough thugs walked toward Mustang, staring him down. "You lost, buddy?" "Nope." "Then turn around. We've got a gas leak to contain and the last thing we need is somepony getting infected." "Wow, hope no one got hurt." "You ain't from around here, are you?" Mustang smirked. "No, I'm from Brookhaven." With that, Mustang punched the thug in front of him, elbowing two thugs by his sides and bucking the last one across the face. The thugs tried to fight back, only to get their flanks handed to them again and again until he knocked one of the thugs straight to the glass of the office with his briefcase, scaring the guard on watch. With quick secession, Mustang shot the guard's gun away from him. "Please don't shoot me," the guard begged. "Get up and start moving," Mustang demanded. The guard complied as Mustang moved him into the corridors of the warehouse basement. When they got far enough, Mustang cuffed the guard against a pipe. "How many guards left?" "F-F-Four." "Including you?" the guard nodded. "Alright, I want you to cry for help, like you mean it." The guard, hesitated at first, complied. "Help!!...Help!! HELP ME!!" The other two guards went to investigate while the third went to guard the Argos. As the two guards found the bound guard, Mustang surprised them by beating them up with a blunt pipe. Within seconds, the guards were out cold. "HELP!!!, HEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!" the bound guard kept shouting. "That's enough," Mustang replied as he moved on. Using a rear-view mirror, Mustang spotted the room that 'Argos' is being kept. The young guard, panicked, quickly locked the doors; but that didn't stop Mustang. He unloaded an entire clip of bullets to make a hole, reached into his briefcase, and threw in a smoke bomb to lay out the final guard, while holding the door in so that the guard wouldn't get out, before finding the vial marked with a strange symbol entitled ‘Argos’. Before Mustang could leave, one last heavy guard–the biggest so far, decked out in a gas mask, ambushed Mustang, throwing across the room. The two fought until the heavy pinned Mustang against a wall, slowing choking him. At the last moment, Mustang broke free from his attacker, slipped a combat knife from him briefcase and threw it at the heavy, stabbing him in the head. Catching his breath, Mustang took the serum and left, not before coming back to the bound guard. "Learn how to count, nimrod." /////////// The next day, Mustang was working at his office desk when he is confronted by his boss and several other pissed off agents. "MUSTANG!!" "Yes, sir." "Last night, you took a mission," the boss said, sternly. "Last night, I completed a mission," Mustang countered. "Without even attempting to report in or get the proper authorization?" "The mission was time-sensitive." "Don't give that 'time-sensitive' crap. We have protocols. No one is above protocol. Not even Captain Equestria's old flame." With that cold remark, Mustang stood up from his seat and looked right into his boss' eyes. "Don't you start." "Please. Let's stop pretending, shall we? Everyone knows why you're here." "I'm listening." "You were grieving, so they kept you on, so that you would feel useful. I call it 'pity.' " "If they wanted to make me feel useful, they wouldn't have made me work with you." Before the conversation got heated, the case line rang. "Good, maybe the higher-ups would like to hear from your insubordination." As the boss picked the phone, his face turned stoned cold by the voice on the line. "Fletcher." "Comet Blaze...sir...w-what could I for you?" "A few things," Comet Blaze said calmly. "Since Mustang did an excellent job on complete the 'Argos' mission, I've decided to give a reward. Tell him he'll be running W.I.N.G.S. with me." "Him?! Agent Mustang?! But, sir. He complete the mission without authorization." "So what? Captain Equestria went on a mission without authorization, who do you think flew her behind enemy lines to save over 800 soldiers?" "You did, sir." "Thank you, Fletcher. Let Mustang know that you're honored to bring him the news. And one more thing...I want your office cleared out by Monday. That goes for anyone that belittled Mustang's skill on the field." "Yes, sir," the boss replied begrudgingly. Fletcher walked towards Mustang, facing him with sweat in his face. "It is my honor... to congratulate you on your promotion to run W.I.N.G.S. as one of its co-founders. Please, allow me to carry your bags." Mustang smiled. "Thanks, sir, but as has always been the case, I don't require your help." Mustang walked out of the office while the other agents were speechless of what transpired. ///////////// Meanwhile, Comet Blaze is sitting by a swimming pool enjoying his martini. Next to him was Cormack, his old war buddy, sitting right next to him. As they drink, several mares were in the pool, giggling and having fun. The odd thing about them is that they were wearing these weird undergarments. "It's called a bikini," said Comet. "...in case you're wondering." "The bikini, You invented it?," Cormack asked. "No, the Prench. Wish I came up with that idea sooner." Cormack looked at the playful mares. "Bikini, I like it." Author's Note DONE.. FINALLY DONE!!! I'm sorry for the wait. I had tons of homework to finish over spring break. Leave a like, and tell me what you guys think. I'll try to improve my writing skills, so please bear with me.
Coming Soon: Longbox One-Shots: Book 2 Pinkie Pie: Agent of W.I.N.G.S. Rarity: The Black Diamond
