Chapters Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 2: Battle City-Canterlot
Burst woke up with a start! It was Monday, and he would be late for school if he didn't move his rear! 'Oh man! Duelist Kingdom wore me out so much I forgot to set my alarm! Good thing I can summon Blue Eyes for a lift! ', he thought to himself as he hurriedly got dressed. It had only been a couple of days since he won Duelist Kingdom. Pinkie had been going on about throwing him a party to celebrate. But whenever he asked, she would just tell him that he would have to wait and see. And when Burst asked Sunset or any of the others, they would just say they didn't know anything. These thoughts were constantly cycling in his head as he was wolfing down breakfast. Burst then went out the door and took out his Blue Eyes White Dragon card.
"Come on out Blue Eyes!", he called out! As Burst spoke, a portal opened from the monster world that let Blue Eyes come through.
"Need a lift?", Blue Eyes asked.
"You know it buddy.", Burst said with a smile as he jumped on Blue Eyes back, "Let's fly!" Blue Eyes took off and soared across the sky until CHS came into view.
"Here's a good spot to land. See ya when I duel Blue Eyes!", Burst said as he dismounted and returned Blue Eyes back to his world. As he entered the school, Burst couldn't help but notice that there was nobody in the hallways. Following his instincts, he made his way to the gym. From the look of the windows, the lights were off but the door was unlocked when he tried the handle. As he walked in, the lights suddenly flashed on!
"Surprise!", the whole school shouted! Burst smiled, 'I should've known Pinkie would throw a party to celebrate my big win. But I didn't expect it to happen here at school.
"Do you like it Burst? Do ya? Do ya?", Pinkie asked while nearly bouncing off the walls.
"It's awesome! Thanks Pinkie!", Burst said with a big smile. At that moment, Sonata spotted Burst from the crowd, and rushed up to hug him!
"Burst!", she cried as she gave him the tightest hug possible!
"Nice to see you too Sonata!", Burst said as he struggled to breathe, "but could you please let go now? You're kinda squeezing me too tight!"
"Whoops! Sorry about that!", she said as she released him!
Burst breathed a sigh of relief, "By the way, how are things with your family?", he asked.
A huge smile crept onto Sonata's face, "Everything's good now! I guess me running away to Duelist Kingdom snapped them into shape! Although, they DID give me a huge scolding for running away. But now we're happy again and we've enrolled here! Want to meet them?"
Burst shrugged, "Sure. I've got nothing better to do."
As they went to meet Sonata's family, Burst had no idea someone was watching him. His name was Arctic Ace, and he had a HUGE crush on Sonata Dusk. 'Looks like I'm too late to ask her out ', he thought sadly, 'Looks like the Duelist Kingdom champion is with her. '.
"Come on Ace, there's still one way to win her over!", Dark Magician Girl said as she materialized, "You could duel for her hand! Like in one of those old movies!".
Ace smiled, "Thanks DMG. But it's also possible they're just friends. But, I DO want to see how strong this Burst Stream guy is."
Meanwhile, Sonata was introducing Burst to her family. "Adagio, Aria, this is my friend Burst Stream! He's also the one who won Duelist Kingdom!", she said cheerfully. "
"You didn't tell us he was cute.", Adagio said with a flirty smile.
Burst slightly blushed, "Um, thanks."
"So, what type of deck do you run?", Aria asked.
"I use a Blue Eyes White Dragon deck. No monster I'd rather fight besides.", Burst said.
"I wish Jellyfish could be here.", Sonata said, "He loves to party."
"Why don't you summon him?", Burst asked, "Ever since I won the tournament, any duelist who shares a bond with their cards can summon their monsters. Try it out!"
Sonata pulled out her jellyfish card, and the creature actually materialized! "Jelly!", she cheered as she hugged him tightly.
It was then that Ace walked up to them. "Are you Burst Stream?", he asked.
"Yeah I am. And I see you've got some monster partners too.", Burst said as he pointed to Dark Magician Girl and Gagaga Magician Girl.
"Thanks for noticing.", Ace said, "I was wondering, Do you wanna duel?"
Burst noticed how much Ace was staring at Sonata, and an idea came to him. "Alright. But there's a promise I want you to keep no matter which of us wins. I'll tell you all the details after the duel.", Burst said with a smile.
"Okay then!", Ace said, "Let's duel!"
Burst: 4000 Ace: 4000
"My turn!", Burst said, "I play Trade-In to discard a level eight monster and draw two cards! Next I'll play Card of Consonance to discard a dragon type tuner from my hand to draw two cards and end my turn! And since the tuner was White Stone of Ancients, I get to special summon a blue eyes monster from my deck! Come on out Blue Eyes White Dragon!"
"I'm up then!", Ace said, "I play Cost Down to decrease the levels of all monsters in my hand by two! Now I play the field spell Sorcerous Spell Wall! I'll summon Dark Magician Girl! I'll equip her with Ribbon of Rebirth and Magic Formula to boost her attack points by 700 points! Now my field spell goes into effect! All monsters on my field gain 300 attack during my turn and 300 defense during your turn! Attack his Blue Eyes with Apprentice Dark Magic Attack!"
Blue Eyes and Dark Magician girl fired blasts of energy at each other! But because they were equal in strength, they destroyed each other! "Now Ribbon's effect activates! Dark Magician Girl comes back to my field since I ended my turn!", Ace said, "Your move!"
Burst smile as he drew his next card! "I play Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands and use his effect to add a ritual monster from my deck to my hand! Now I sacrifice a monster from my hand to ritual summon Blue Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon! Attack with Chaos Burst!"
Chaos MAX released a gigantic ball of energy that wiped out Dark Magician Girl!
Burst: 4000 Ace: 2000
"I play Swords of Revealing Light!", Ace said, "This should keep your monsters in check for three of your turns! Long enough for me to turn this duel around!"
"Putting on a brave face for your girlfriend Ace?", Gagaga Girl asked slyly.
Ace blushed, "N..no! I really think I can turn this duel around!". "Aww, you're so cute when you're embarrassed Ace!", Dark Magician Girl said.
Burst took note of the conversation and couldn't help but smile. "So that's one of the reasons why you wanted to duel me. Any guy willing to go that far for the girl he likes is a great duelist in my book.", Burst said to Ace, "It's still your move by the way."
"Thanks!", Ace said, "I play Double Summon to bring out Gagaga Girl and Skilled Dark Magician! Now I activate Magical Dimension and tribute Skilled Dark Magician to special summon Dark Magician Girl from my hand! Now I play two Star Changers to make my two magicans level 5! I overlay them to xyz summon Magic Blade Valkyrie Mairi Mage! I also play Dark Magic Expanede to boost her by 1000 attack points! I also equip her with Book of Secret Arts! Now I play Dark Magic Veil! By paying 1000 life points I can special summon a dark attribute spellcaster from my hand or graveyard! I special summon Dark Magician Girl from the graveyard! Mairi Mage, destroy Chaos MAX! And DMG, attack him directly!"
Burst: 1800 Ace: 1000
"My move then!", Burst said as he drew a card, "Perfect! I play the spell card Harmony Absolute! I tribute one Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to special summon Blue Eyes Harmony Absolute Dragon from my hand! Attack his Magic Blade Valkyrie with Absolute Harmony Burst Stream!"
"It's been fun ladies, but you're not my type. ", Harmony Absolute said as he fired a rainbow colored burst stream that wiped out Magic Blade Valkyrie.
Burst: 1800, win Ace: 0, lose
"Now for that promise Ace.", Burst said with a smile, "You have to ask Sonata out!"
Ace was in shock! "How did you know I like her?!"
"I saw you staring at her when you asked to duel me. Wasn't that hard to piece together. If you're shy about it, remember this! In dueling and in life, if you keep being too careful with what move you make, you'll always miss the chance right in front of you! Now's your chance Ace! The worst thing she can say to you is no, so what do you have to lose?", Burst said with a reassuring smile!
Ace's eyes blazed with a new-found determination, and walked up to Sonata. "Sonata, I was wondering if....if you would go out with me.", Ace said.
Sonata smiled, and kissed Ace full on the mouth! "Of course!", she said with a bright smile!
Ace could barely contain the joy he felt! "That's wonderful! I'm free this Friday if you are! It's a date!"
"I love happy endings.", Blue Eyes said.
"Me too pal.", Burst said as he gave Ace a thumbs-up.

"Burst Stream. Please report to Principal Celestia's office. Thank You.", Vice Principal Luna said over the loudspeaker. Burst had no idea why he was being called up to the principal's office, but decided not to question it as he made his way towards principal Celestial's office. When he arrived, Burst saw that Principal Celestia was waiting for him.
"Please come in Burst Stream.", Celestia greeted him with a smile. As Burst entered her office, he saw there was an unexpected visitor.
"Hello Burst Stream.", Kaiba said as Burst walked in. Burst couldn't believe it! One of the world's greatest duelists was at HIS school! But the question that was burning in his mind was why.
"It's an honor to meet you Mr. Kaiba. But what brings you here to CHS?", Burst asked.
"Mr. Kaiba is here because of your victory in Duelists Kingdom.", Principal Celestial said.
"Congratulations on winning Duelists Kingdom. But that's not the only reason I'm here. I've chosen your city as the location for the next Battle City tournament!", Kaiba said, "The official announcement won't be until tonight, but I've given early notice to current dueling champions. So, interested?"
Burst smiled, "I sure am! When's it being held, and are there going to be new rules?"
"Battle City Canterlot starts tomorrow. Also, Celestia here has been kind enough to make special arrangements so that there's no conflict of schedules.", Kaiba said.
"I've decided to suspend school for the duration of Battle City. I know a lot of students are duelists, so I decided this was best so that they didn't get distracted.", Celestia said with a smile.
"Alright! Battle City here I come!", Burst said. That night, Kaiba announced the tournament on TV. Soon, every duelist in Canterlot were making a mad dash to prepare their decks for the coming tournament. Tirek had been walking the streets of Canterlot when he saw the announcement.
"Excellent. This shall be where I begin my reign. And where the wicked god cards shall feast upon the energy of duelists!", Tirek said with a wicked smile.

Duel 1: Blueblood's Return
The next morning, Burst and his friends met to discuss Battle City.
"Okay everyone. Do we all know the new rules for Battle City?", Burst asked.
"Well for starters, every duelist now has eight thousand life points.", Twilight said.
"And each duelist has a locater card. Any duelist who wants to advance to the finals has to collect six locater cards total.", Sunset said.
"But there's also higher stakes this time.", Inferno said, "Remember what Kaiba said in his announcement?"
"How could anyone forget? In addition to the locater card, the winner of the duel can take the loser's rarest card!", Rainbow panicked.
"I couldn't bare to lose any of my precious gem knights!", Rarity said.
"Then how about only me, Inferno, and Burst duel?", Ace asked, "That way none of you have to risk losing your cards. Also, the three of us are some of the best duelists in CHS. We should get to the finals no problem!"
"Good thinking Ace! But we can't get too cocky. The whole city will be caught up in duel madness!", Inferno said.
"No sweat Inferno! You and your friends have all of us to back you up!", Red Eyes said as he materialized.
"There's nothing we can't get through when we fight as one!", Blue Eyes said.
"And there's no way we'd ever leave you hanging!", Dark Magician Girl said with a bright smile.
"What're we waiting for then? Let's go!", Applejack said. Everyone went their separate ways, each eager to find their first opponent. Burst was the first one to find some dueling action. The duel was between one duelists using a warrior deck, and the other was using a mixed deck.
"Now Masked Hero Goka! Attack his life points directly!", Blueblood said, "I've no interest in your cards. Just the locater card please."
"Hey Blueblood. I see you found a deck you love to duel with.", Burst said with a smile.
"Your advice really works. Want to meet some of my monsters? Come on out Masked Heroes!", Blueblood said. As he spoke, eight flashes of light came from his deck and eight monsters that looked like Japanese super heroes appeared.
"Nice to meet you!", they all said.
"The red one is Goka, the green one is Divine Wind, the blue ones are Acid and Vapor, the white one is Koga, the black ones are Dark Law and Anki, and the grey one is Dian.", Blueblood said.
"So care to see how your deck stacks up against mine again?", Burst asked.
"Let's duel!", Blueblood said with a cocky smile.
Burst Stream: 8000 Blueblood: 8000
"I'll make the first move!", Burst said, "I summon Keeper of the Shrine and banish him to summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Next, I'll use his effect to special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand! That's it for me. Your move Blueblood."
"First I summon Elemental Hero Flash! Next I play Mask Change! I send Flash to the graveyard to special summon Masked Hero Koga! Now his effect activates! For every monster on your field, he gains 500 attack points! Take down his Blue Eyes with flash slash!", Blueblood said. Koga charged at Blue Eyes and defeated him with one swift strike!
Burst Stream: 7500 Blueblood: 8000
"Nice move Blueblood! But now it's my move!", Burst said, "I reveal one Blue Eyes in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative! Next I'll use Metal's effect to special summon the Blue Eyes in my hand! I'll use Alternative's effect to destroy your Masked Hero! Darkness Metal and Blue Eyes, attack him directly!"
"DOUBLE DRAGON STRIKE!", the two dragons said as their breath attacks mixed into one! Striking Blueblood directly!
Burst Stream: 7500 Blueblood: 2500
"I summon Elemental Hero Shadow Mist! Now I activate Mask Change to special summon Elemental Hero Anki!", Blueblood said, "Now I'll use his effect! He can attack you directly, but the damage is halved! That's it for me. Your move."
Burst Stream: 6100 Blueblood: 2500
"My move!", Burst said, "I'll overlay my Blue Eyes and Blue Eyes Alternative to xyz summon Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon! Now I'll use him as xyz material to xyz summon Galaxy Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon! I'll use his effect now! I detach one overlay unit to destroy your face up monster! Now Galaxy Eyes! Attack him directly! Full Armor Photon Stream!" Galaxy Eyes roared as he summoned a laser that vaporized Enki, and released a powerful beam of energy that struck Blueblood directly!
"This duel just screamed anime.", Galaxy Eyes said with a joking smile.
Burst Stream: 6100, win Blueblood: 0, lose
"Good duel Burst. I might not have won, but I had fun. Here's my two locater cards.", Blueblood said with a smile.
"Thanks. I had fun too. See ya around!", Burst said, 'Halfway to the finals already! Three more locater cards to go! '

Duel 2: Heart of the Swarm
Inferno was bored out of his mind! Almost every duel he had seen was already in progress! At this rate, it would take forever to find a duel!
"Oh man! I'm dyin' for some action!", Inferno moaned, "I think I'm going to get duel madness if I don't find someone to duel!". At that moment, he noticed a duel that had just wrapped up.
"I'll take your locater card and your rarest card now.", Chrysalis said with a sly smile.
"Yo bug queen!", Inferno said, "I remember you from Duelist Kingdom, you tried to get rid of Burst's Chaos MAX Dragon!"
"So you must be Inferno. The duelist who possesses the legendary Red Eyes Black Dragon. I was hoping to beat Burst Stream, but I suppose. If I beat you, I still get a legendary dragon!", Chrysalis said.
"Bring it on! Red Eyes and I will barbeque your creepy crawlies!", Inferno said.
Inferno: 8000 Chrysalis: 8000
"I'll kick things off!", Inferno said, "I summon Red Eyes Black Chick and banish him to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal! Now I'll use his effect and special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon from my hand! Next I activate the spell card Inferno Fire Blast! Now you take damage equal to Red Eye's attack!"
"Aghh!", Chrysalis screamed as fireball collided into her!
"Lucky for you, Red Eyes can't attack after the card is activated. Your move!", Inferno said
Inferno: 8000 Chrysalis: 5600
"Time to weave my web!", Chrysalis said, "I summon Chainsaw Insect and equip him with Insect Armor with Laser Cannon! Shred his Red Eyes!"
Inferno: 7300 Chrysalis: 5600
Chrysalis seemed to take joy in destroying Inferno's favorite monster! "Aww. Did I hurt you by wasting your dragon?", she said, "Due to Chainsaw's effect you get to draw one card."
"Too bad you destroyed the wrong one!", Inferno said with a smile, "Darkness Metal can revive a dragon from my graveyard! Welcome back Red Eyes! But I'm not done yet! I play Red Eyes Fusion! I send Red Eyes and Summoned Skull from my deck to the graveyard to fusion summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon! Now I play Silver's Cry to revive the Red Eyes in my graveyard! First, I'll barbeque your Chainsaw Insect with Archfiend Black Skull! Archfiend Inferno!"
"Time to do some pest control!", Archfiend said as he launched a jet of flame that incinerated Chainsaw Insect!"
"Now Red Eyes! Attack her directly! Inferno Fire Blast!", Inferno said.
"Feel the burn!", Red Eyes said as he launched a gigantic fire ball that crashed into Chrysalis!
Inferno: 7300 Chrysalis: 3100
"Your move Chryssie!", Inferno said, "You know, people might like you more if you didn't try to win through tricks."
"Shut up dragon breath!", Chrysalis hissed, "I'm a regional champion! I don't need advice from the likes of you!"
"Suit yourself.", Inferno said.
"I'll play Ultimate Insect Level 3 and Swords of Revealing Light! Now you can't touch me for three of your turns.", Chrysalis said with a smirk.
"Well, that bites.", Inferno said, "I play two cards face down and end my turn."
Chrysalis smiled, "Now that it's my standby phase, I'll send my Ultimate Insect Level 3 to the graveyard to special summon Ultimate Insect Level 5! All monsters you control lose 500 attack and defense points while he's on the field! Now, destroy Red Eyes Black Dragon!"
"Gah! It stings!", Red Eyes screamed as he was sent to the graveyard.
"I activate my trap! Red Eyes Burn!", Inferno said, "Now we both take damage equal to his attack because he was destroyed by battle! You mess with the Red Eyes, you get the burn!"
Inferno: 4900 Chrysalis: 700
"I'll use Darkness Metal's effect to bring back my Red Eyes from the grave!", Inferno said, "Now I overlay my two Red Eyes to xyz summon Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon! And end my turn!"
"My move!", Chrysalis said, "Since it's my standby phase, I send my Ultimate Insect Level 5 to the graveyard to special summon Ultimate Insect Level 7! And once he's on the field all monsters you control lose 700 attack and defense mode! Now attack his Flare Metal!"
Inferno cracked a smile, "Sorry but you've already lost! Flare Metal's effect activates! Once you activate a card or effect, he can inflict 500 points of damage the moment they resolve!"
"No! I just activated two effects!", Chrysalis scowled, "That means I take 1000 points of damage!".
Flare Metal fired twin shots of fire that hit Chrysalis directly, "Now THAT is what I call a sick burn!", he said
Inferno: 4900, win Chrysalis: 0, lose
"I'll take your locater cards now.", Inferno said politely.
Chrysalis grumbled as she handed over the cards, but was surprised as Inferno walked away. "Wait. Don't you want my rarest card?"
"Keep it. I like my deck the way it is.", Inferno said, "Besides, the rules don't say you HAVE to take the loser's rarest card. Also, I know how much you love your creepy crawlies. See ya Chrissie!"
Chrysalis couldn't help but hug her bug monsters as they materialized, "Looks like our hive's sticking together for a long while!", she said with a genuine smile.
Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 2: Battle City-Canterlot
Ace was walking the streets of Canterlot. He had yet to duel, until he spotted Sonata walking about. She seemed to notice him, and walked over.
"Hi Ace! You in Battle City too?", Sonata asked.
"Yeah. Although, I didn't expect to run into my girlfriend here.", Ace said with a slight blush, "Sooooo, you wanna duel?"
Sonata gave him a smile, "Sure! Think of it as a date!"
Ace: 8000 Sonata: 8000
"Ladies first.", Ace said.
"Thanks!", Sonata beamed, "I'll summon Island Turtle in defense mode! Your move Ace!"
"I summon Breaker the Magical Warrior! Then I'll play the field spell Sorcerous Spell Wall to give him a boost! That's it for me.", Ace said.
"My turn!", Sonata said, "I summon Jellyfish! Now I'll play Fortress Whale Oath to tribute my monsters to ritual summon Fortress Whale! Blow his Magical Knight out of the water!"
Fortress Whale leaped into the air, and landed with a thunderous belly flop on top of Breaker!
Ace: 7250 Sonata: 8000
"Nice job on getting out one of your best monsters so early!", Ace said, "Now it's my move! I summon the Mystical Elf and activate Magical Dimension to tribute her to special summon Dark Magician Girl from my hand! Now that she's been summoned by this card, I can target one monster on your field and destroy it! Now DMG, attack her directly!"
Ace: 7250 Sonata: 5700
"I'll set one card face down and end my turn. You alright there Sonata?"
"I'm fine! Now to see what move I can make..aha! I summon Great White and play Big Wave-Small Wave! I destroy all water monsters on my field and now I can special summon a water monster from my hand! Come on out! Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness!" As Sonata cried out, a gigantic orca whale rose from the ground!
"Avast landlubbers! Ye be in deep waters now!", Orca said.
"Now I'll equip him with Aqua Jet to boost his attack by 1000 points! Attack his Dark Magician Girl!", Sonata said.
"I activate my trap! Storming Mirror Force! It returns the attacking monster back to my opponent's hand! Now I'll play Dark Magic Veil! I pay 1000 life points and special summon another Dark Magician Girl! Next I play Dark Magic Expanded! Since I have two Dark Magician Girls, one of them gains 1000 attack points and any spell cards I have can't be destroyed by card effects! Now attack with Apprentice Dark Magic Attack!"
Sonata braced herself as she was hit with twin blasts of dark magic!
Ace: 6250 Sonata: 100
"I'll call it a turn. Your move!", Ace said.
"I set a monster in defense mode and end my turn.", Sonata said, "Not much else I can do now. Have at it Ace!"
"I draw!", Ace said, "I summon Gagaga Girl and discard one card to activate Lightning Vortex! This destroys all monsters on your field! Now all of my magicians can attack you directly!"
Ace: 6250, win Sonata: lose
"Here's my locater card Ace! Good luck in the rest of Battle City!"
"Thanks Sonata!"
"One last thing.", Sonata said as she walked up to Ace and kissed him, "We should have a duel date again sometime!"
Ace could only blush as he walked off to find other duels.
Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 2: Battle City-Canterlot
"Hey Burst!", Inferno called out.
"Nice to see you Inferno. How many locater cards do you have?"
"Three. How about you?"
"Same. Looks like we're halfway to the finals."
"And soon you'll be out!", Garble shouted as he and Trixie came into view, "I owe you for humiliating me back at Duelists Kingdom Burst Stream! You're mine!"
Burst was about to accept Garble's challenge when Inferno stopped him. "You already handed his butt to him once. Let me take care of him!"
"I guess you're up against me Trixie! Let's see what your spell casters can do!"
"Trixie would be honored!"
Inferno: 8000 Garble: 8000
"I'm first!", Garble snarled, "I summon Infernal Dragon and end my turn!"
"My move then! I play Red Eyes Fusion and send Red Eyes Black Dragon and Summoned Skull to the graveyard to special summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon! Now I normal summon Red Eyes Black Chick and banish him to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Black Skull, attack his monster with Black Fire Blast! And now his effect activates! I can target one red eyes normal monster in my graveyard and inflict his attack points as damage! Now Darkness Metal, attack him directly! Next I'll set a card face down and end my turn."
"Auugghhh!", Garble screamed as a sea of flames crashed into him! Incinerating his life points!
Inferno: 8000 Garble: 1600
Burst Stream: 8000 Trixie: 8000
"Your move Trixie!", Burst said.
"Behold! Trixie plays Ancient Rules to special summon Cosmo Queen! Now I'll summon Magician's Valkyria and play the spell Magical Blast to deal 200 points of damage to you for each spell caster monster I have! I'll call it a turn and hand things over to you."
"Alright! I reveal one Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Now I'll play Trade-In to discard my Blue Eyes and draw two new cards. "Grrrrrr! Take all of these stupid locater cards!", Garble fumed!
Inferno simply smiled politely as he took Garble's locater cards, completing the six cards he needed to advance to the finals. He then turned his attention to Burst's duel against Trixie.
"I draw!", Trixie said, "I play Meteor of Destruction to deal you 1000 points of damage! Next I summon Defender the Magical Warrior in defense mode! Your move!"
"My turn then!", Burst said, "I play Advanced Ritual Art and send one Blue Eyes from my deck to the graveyard to ritual summon Blue Eyes Chaos Max Dragon! Now I'll play Dragon's Mirror and remove the three blue eyes in the graveyard to special summon Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! I'll attack your monster with Blue Eyes Chaos MAX, and due to his effect he inflicts double piercing damage! And I'll have Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Attack you directly!" Burst cried as Trixie's field was bathed in a flurry of light energy blasts!

"Thanks! See ya at CHS!", Burst said. Burst and Inferno then stacked each of their locater cards, and a hologram was displayed that showed where the location of the finals were. "Next stop: Canterlot's Dueling Stadium!"

Next time on Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 2: Battle City Canterlot! Burst, Inferno, Sunset, and Ace have made their way to the finals! But once they arrive at the finals' location, a new threat is present! And he has his sights set on Burst Stream!

"Uh...Rainbow? I think you might get your wish for a duel now!", Twilight said as she noticed the group heading in their direction. It consisted of Flim and Flam, Suri, and Trixie.
"We've come to settle the score! Right brother?", Film said.
"Indeed Film. Get ready to duel miss Applejack!", Flam said.
"Duelists Kingdom was SO not fair Rarity! It's payback time!", Sufi said.
"Hi Twilight! Wanna duel again?", Trixie said.
"Alright!", Rainbow Dash shouted, "LET'S DUEL!"

"I'm up first! I activate the continuous spell Ancient Gear Castle and summon Ancient Gear Soldier! I'll turn things over to you Applejack."
"I set a card face down and summon Celtic Guardian! Next I play Double Summon to bring out Gagagigo and overlay them to xyz summon Gagaga Cowboy! Then I equip him with Magnum Shield and Assault Armor! Now I'll send Assault Armor to the graveyard to let him attack twice during any battle this turn! And that's not all! I detach one overlay unit to boost his attack by 1000 and lower your monster's by 500! Attack his Ancient Gear Soldier!"
"Reach for the sky tin can!", Cowboy said as he shot down Ancient Gear Soldier! And then he fired another blast at Flam directly!

"My turn then! I play double summon Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth and Amethyst Cat! I'll equip Amethyst Cat with another Crystal Release and activate Amethyst Cat's effect! By halving her attack points, she can attack you directly! Next I'll have Pegasus destroy your monster and Mammoth attack you directly!"

"Well met once again.", Trixie said, "See ya around!" And with that, the group of rivals took their leave and headed home. Soon, Pinkie Pie was rushing towards Twilight and the others.
"Hey everyone! I got a text from Burst! He, Inferno, and Sunset made it to the finals! Next stop, Canterlot's Dueling Stadium!" Applejack called Big Mac for a lift, and they made their way to Burst and the others.

Duel 6: Flight to the finals!
Burst, Inferno, and Sunset had made it Canterlot's dueling stadium. Once there, they saw Ace was waiting for them.
"So, do you guys really think this is where the finals are gonna be held?", Inferno asked
"I don't think so.", Burst said, "Kaiba is known for doing things over the top with his tournaments. I'd be willing to bet he'll have the semi-finals on a blimp."
"Well, you can say that it's never boring when Kaiba's throwing a tournament.", Gilda said as she walked into the stadium. "Sup, Burst! Looks like we might be facing each other in the finals."
"Hey guys! Looks like someone else made it too!", Inferno said.
Ace was out of breath from running so long. "Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late! My last duel was pretty far from here!"
"Just be glad that you were able to make it Ace!", Burst said, "And knowing the rest of the girls, they're probably on their way to cheer us on."
"We're here!", Pinkie shouted as she and the others rushed into the stadium!
"Good of you all to make it.", Inferno said.
"No one we'd rather have cheer us on!", Sunset said. But as they were celebrated making it to the finals, Burst, Inferno and Ace felt an evil presence enter the area. Before them was a tall man with black hair, red skin, and yellow eyes.
"Burst! I'm sensing three enormous evil monsters with him!", Blue Eyes said.
"I feel so cold..", Red Eyes said.
"Ah..you must be Burst Stream. A pleasure to meet you.", Trek said with a false smile, " I am Tirek. I'd heard about your victory in Duelists Kingdom. I look forward to facing off against you." 'Especially if it means I can crush you so that you are no longer an obstacle! ', Trek thought to himself. Burst could feel the darkness radiating from him, but put on a civil face.
"Can't wait to duel.", Burst said calmly. Soon, another figure with a white robe entered the stadium. He had yellow skin and had brown hair, and bore a striking resemblance to Trek! However, there was no evil aura coming from his monsters. Trek noticed the new duelist, and scowled at him. The last finalist was someone Twilight new quite well.
"Shining!", she cried as she hugged her brother, "I didn't know you made it to the finals too!"
"Nice to see you too Twily! So, who are your friends?"
"You know most of them. But my newest ones are Burst Stream and Inferno!"
"The winner of Duelists Kingdom? Sweet! I can't wait to take on your dragons with my warrior deck!" As the duelists were speculating about the tournament, a large blimp descended from the sky. The door opened, and Kaiba stepped out onto the stadium.
'Welcome duelists! All of you have proved yourselves by gathering six locater cards each! But Battle City is far from over! Your next battlefield is atop my airship! Where the winds will threaten to blow away your cards! Good luck, and may the best duelists win!"
The duelists boarded the ship, and were brought to the main deck where a lottery machine was placed. Kaiba explained that the machine determined who would be dueling against each other. As the machine activated, it spit out two capsules that displayed holograms.
"The first round is, Burst Stream vs. Shining Armor!"

"Time for the next duel! And the duelists are: Ace and Sunset Shimmer!", Kaiba announced.
Ace: 8000 Sunset: 8000
"Might as well start out strong!", Ace said, "I summon Skilled Dark Magician in attack mode and end my turn!"
Sunset smiled, "If that's the case, I play Hand Destruction to discard two cards from my hand and draw two new ones! Now I banish the two monsters I sent to the graveyard to special summon BLS! Next I'll put an equip spell on him. Attack his monster with genesis slash! Now his effect activates! Since I destroyed your monster by battle, he can attack again!" BLS shield-bashed Ace's monster, and slashed at his life points directly!
Ace: 3900 Sunset: 8000
"My move then!", Ace said, "I play Cost Down and discard a card to lower the levels of all monsters in my hand by two! Now I summon Dark Magician Skill! Next I play Dark Magic Expanded to boost her by 1000 points! They might take each other out, but at least the field will be even! That's it for my turn"
"Actually, BLS isn't going anywhere! The equip spell I put on him activates since the turn's over! It revives him from the graveyard! Also, I special summon Guardian Eatos since I have no monsters in my graveyard! Now I play Double Summon to bring out Giant Sentry of Stone and Vylon Prism! Now I tune them to synchro summon Stardust Dragon! All of you, attack him directly!" All three of Sunset's monsters released beams of energy that collided into Ace's life points!

"Good duel Ace! But why didn't you use more spells or traps?"
"I got stuck with only monsters in my first hand. Go figure!", Ace said with a small smile, "Hope you do well in the finals!"
"Thanks!" 'Maybe I'll even get my shot at facing Burst! ', Sunset thought with a smile.
Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG 2: Battle City-Canterlot
"Attention duelists! This is the last round of the semi finals! The final duel will be between Tirek and Gilda!", Kaiba announced over the speakers. Both duelists made their way to the arena.
"Get ready to be sent packing ugly!", Gilda boasted.
"We'll soon see who is defeated.", Trek said with a smirk
Gilda: 8000 Tirek: 8000
"My move! I summon Harpy Lady and equip her with Cyber Shield! Next I play Elegant Egotist to special summon another Harpy Lady and end my turn.", Gilda said.
"My turn. I draw!", Tirek smirked as he drew his card. "I summon Castle of Dark Illusion in defense mode and end my turn."
"I summon Harpy Channeler, and ovelay all my monsters to xyz Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon! And his effect let's him attack your life points directly! Phantasmal Fire Ball!"
"Just what I was hoping for!", Tirek said with a wicked grin! "Since I've taken damage from your monster, I can special summon Gorz, Emissary of Darkness! And I get to special summon a token! Now that it's my turn, I sacrifice all three of my monsters to summon The Wicked Dreadroot! Rise, and make all before you cower in fear!" As Tirek called his name, a gigantic fiend rose up from the ground. His very presence invoked an aura of fear! "And since my life points are lower, I activate the Megamorph spell card! Attack, with Dread Fist!" Dreadroot wrapped his fist in dark energy, and annihilated Gilda's dragon with a single punch!
"Auugghhh!" Gilda couldn't believe the pain she felt! It was like this monster had attacked her too! When she tried to assess the damage, she was shocked by how many life points she had left!
Gilda: 1000 Tirek: 6000
"How am I down to 1000? My monster had 2000 attack points, so I should be down to 2000!"
"Do you like it?", Tirek said with a cruel grin, "It's Dreadroot's effect: Fear Aura! The attack and defense of all monsters on the field are halved! With the exception of Dreadroot. Go ahead, try to find a way to protect yourself. I look forward to treating you to a taste of despair!"
"Shut up, you don't scare me! I summon a monster in defense mode and end my turn!"
"And now it all ends.", Tirek said, "I play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Megamorph, and Shield Crush to destroy your defense mode monster! Finish her off Dreadroot."
"Prepare to face despair weakling." , Dreadroot said as he shot a concentrated blast of darkness right at Gilda, dropping her life points to zero!

As soon as the duel was over, Gilda looked at her cards I horror! They had all turned grey and lifeless!
"What did you do to my cards?!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Rejoice! For their energy has now been absorbed into the wicked god cards!" Burst glared at him in anger!
'He's just as bad as Sombra! Maybe even worse! I can't let him win! Who knows what terror he'll unleash! '

Duel 11: Dueling Destinies!
Burst couldn't believe the extent of Tirek's cruelty! Not only had he shown no mercy to his opponent, but he had also stolen the cards' energy! He was even worse than Sombra!
'I can't let him win! Those wicked god cards of his would wreak havoc on the world, and drain all cards of their energy!
"So you intend to oppose him as well", a voice said. Burst was momentarily startled when he found Scorpan behind him.
"Scorpan! Didn't see you there. But what did you mean by that?"
"Surely you've noticed the resemblance between the both of us? Tirek is my brother."
"I had a feeling you two were related."
"Long ago, he and another known as Sombra, joined their forces with evil monsters in order to claim dominion over both worlds. Sombra was to claim victory at Duelist Kingdom, but you put a stop to him. Now my brother seeks to win this tournament, and succeed where Sombra failed. And I must be the one who faces him."
"I can respect your reasoning Scorpan, but I'm the one who's going to defeat him."
"He is my brother. My family. And the wicked gods are an evil force you can't even begin to fathom. It is my destiny to defeat him."
"Then there's only one way to settle this. We're in the next match, so let's duel!"
"Burst Stream and Scorpan! Report to the dueling arena!", a voice over the speakers blared. Burst and Scorpan made their way to the arena, where the winner would decide the fate of the world.
Burst: 8000 Scorpan: 8000
"My move.", Scorpan said. "I play Sanctuary in the Sky and discard Hecatrice to add Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen! Now I'll use it's effect to special summon Master Hyperion! Next I'll set a card and turn things over to you."
"I draw!", Burst said, "Nice! I reveal a Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Next I'll play Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands to add one ritual monster from my deck to my hand! Now I play Advanced Ritual Art to send a Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to ritual summon Blue Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon! Then I'll use Alternative's effect! I can target one monster you control and destroy it! Attack him directly Chaos MAX! Chaos Burst Stream!"
"Too bad your sanctuary doesn't protect you from direct attacks! Here I come!", Chaos MAX shouted as he fired a beam of chaos energy that struck Scorpan full force!

"There's not a monster in my deck that can beat that thing in terms of sheer attack power! Looks like I'll need to go on the defensive! I summon a monster in defense mode and set a card. Your move."
"As long as you have that field spell, you won't take any damage. So looks like I'll have to get rid of it! I play twin twisters! By discarding a card, I can destroy two spell or trap cards on the field! So I'll destroy your face down card and your field spell!"
"My last line of defense!", Scorpan panicked. "Well, at least your monsters can't do any piercing damage. So my life points are still safe!"
"Sorry, but Chaos MAX can inflict double piercing damage when he destroys a defense mode monster! End this Chaos MAX!"
'WHAT?!" Scorpan barely had any time to react when the blast wiped out his monster! Making his life points drop to zero!

"I guess I was wrong. If you beat Sombra and me, then you should be able to face my brother. I wish you luck Burst."
"Thanks Scorpan. " 'I've got the feeling I'm going to need it.

Duel 12: Wrath of the Wicked God Cards
Sunset was troubled. She'd seen what Tirek was capable of. Case in point being when he stole the energy from Gilda's cards. Those wicked god cards were on a whole other level, and they just seemed to radiate with evil! "Those things make Zorc look like a puppy!", Sunset thought out loud. BLS soon materialized.
"That Dreadroot invoked an aura of pure fear. And I could sense two more monsters just as powerful! We can't afford to get reckless!"
"You're right. Let's give this our all!", Sunset said as she met her opponent at the dueling arena.
"So. The next weakling has come to be crushed. Very well then. Prepare to face the wicked gods!", Tirek said with a savage smile.
Sunset: 8000 Tirek: 8000
Sunset took a deep breath as she began her turn. "I summon Gagagigo and set two cards face down. Your move Tirek."
Tirek smirked. "I discard a card to special summon The Tricky! Next I play Double Summon to bring out Double Coston! Then I'll sacrifice all three to summon another one of my wicked gods! Descend from the skies and wipe out all that stands in your way! Come forth! Wicked Eraser! " A demonic looking dragon came out of a dark rift.
"All in my path will be erased!", Eraser hissed!"
"Now I can activate his effect! I can destroy him during my main phase, and in turn destroy all cards my opponent controls! Wave of Destruction!" Eraser exploded, and a wave of darkness wiped out all of Sunset's cards! "Next I'll set a card face down and end my turn."
'My whole field was obliterated in one turn! ', Sunset thought to herself. She then noticed this presented her with an opportunity! "You're wide open now Tirek! I play my trap! Dust Tornado to destroy your face down card! Now I'll play Hand Destruction to send two monsters to the graveyard and banish them to summon BLS! Now I'll equip him with Magnum Shield to boost his attack by his defense and Back-Up Rider from my hand to boost him by 1500 points! Attack him directly! Blade Beam!" BLS raised his sword, and released a beam of energy from his sword that struck Tirek directly!
Sunset: 8000 Tirek: 1000
"Your monster is quite powerful.", Tirek said with a dark smile, "But not even it can stand against the monster I plan to bring forth! I discard Makyura the Destructor so I can activate trap cards from my hand for this turn! I banish the monsters in my graveyard! Next I'll play the trap Return from the Different Dimension to halve my life points and bring them back to my field! Now I sacrifice all three to bring out my ultimate wicked god! Come forth from the darkest shadows and consume all! Wicked Avatar!", Tirek cried out as a large black orb swirled onto the field from nothingness. "Now his effect activates!" Soon Avatar began to twist and change. In the end, it looked like a pitch black version of BLS!
"What did that thing just do?!", Sunset demanded.
"Wicked Avatar's attack and defense are equal to the strongest monster on the field, but 100 points stronger! Now I play Megamorph to double his attack points! Cut down her monster with Darkness Critical Slash!" Avatar dashed towards BLS, and cut him down with one fell swoop!
Sunset: 2300 Tirek: 500
"I play monster in defense mode, set a card and end my turn.", Sunset said. 'Hopefully that should keep my lifepoints safe!'
"If you think you can protect yourself, you're wrong.", Tirek said cruelly, "I play Fires of Doomsday to special summon two Doomsday tokens! Now I'll tribute one of them to summon Gaap, the Divine Soldier! And once he's on the field, all monsters are changed into attack mode! Now I'll play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your set card! Finish her off Avatar!" Sunset could only look in horror as Avatar struck down her monster.
Sunset: lose Tirek: 500, win
As if losing the duel wasn't bad enough, Sunset would soon be in for an even more unpleasant surprise.
"Sun..set...", BLS said weakly.
"BLS! What's happening to you?!"
"The wicked god cards are stealing my energy! I have to retreat to my home realm to recover! Forgive me..."
"NO!", Sunset cried as BLS faded away and her cards became grey from their energy being stolen.
"And now there is only one who stands in my way! But he won't be standing for long!", Tirek said with an arrogant smile. Sunset couldn't help but chuckle at Tirek's overconfidence. "What's so funny?"
"You have no idea what you're up against.", Sunset said with a smirk. "If Burst was able to defeat Sombra, he shouldn't have any problem stopping a monster like you!"
"We shall see... ", Tirek growled.

Duel 13: Final Round! Burst Stream vs Tirek!
"I have the powers of the wicked gods on my side...AND YET THE FRIENDS OF THIS 'BURST STREAM' SAY THAT HE WILL DEFEAT ME?!", Tirek bellowed. "It was a fluke that he beat Sombra! There's no way he could be stronger than me, and I shall crush him in our duel! Then no one will be left to stand in my way!" The wicked gods howled with delight at the thought of stealing the energy of a legendary dragon! Meanwhile, Burst was talking with his own dueling partner.
"You're worried, aren't you?", Blue Eyes said.
"Blue Eyes, I could risk losing you forever if Tirek wins! His wicked god cards can steal energy!", Burst said, "We may have beaten Sombra, but this guy's even stronger!"
"But he doesn't know HOW we beat him!", Blue Eyes said with a sly smile. At that moment, the realization hit Burst full on.
"Oh yeah! I nearly forgot about your harmony form." A small smile formed on Burst's face. "Tirek won't know what hit him!" Burst made his way to the main deck, where Kaiba had an announcement.
"The final duel of the finals will be held on top of my duel tower!", Kaiba declared, "May the best duelists win!" Soon, the blimp landed at Kaiba's duel tower. Burst and Tirek boarded the elevator, and went up to the dueling arena where the final duel would decide the fate of Burst's world and Blue Eye's.
'Time to leave my fate to the heart of the cards! ' "It's just you and me Tirek!", Burst shouted!
"Soon to be only me!", Tirek said with a cruel grin! "Once I beat you, the worlds shall be mine and the wicked gods to rule!"

"I've got the first move!", Burst said, "I play Cards of Consonance to discard White Stone of Ancients to draw two cards! Now I reveal one Blue Eyes in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon and end my turn! And now he gains 1000 attack for every monster you control! Eraser Stream of Oblivion!" Eraser released a blast of black energy that destroyed Blue Eyes White Dragon! "And since it's still my turn, I destroy Eraser to wipe out all cards on the field! Annihilation Aura!" Tirek cried as Eraser self-destructed and wiped out everything on the field!

I'll send a Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to bring out my trump card! Come on out! Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon!" Blue Eyes descended from the heavens, clad in platinum armor. "Next I'll set a card face down and end my turn
"Your reign of terror ends here Dreadroot! I give you this chance to surrender! ", Blue Eyes said.
"WHAT? I didn't know Blue Eyes had this form!", Tirek fumed, "No matter! Dreadroot's effect shall cut his strength by half! Attack!"
"Prepare to face oblivion! ", Dreadroot bellowed as he charged at Blue Eyes Absolute! But before his punch could even connect, Blue Eyes caught his fist!
"Gee, I'm quaking in my scales.", Blue Eyes said in mocking tone.
"How is this possible?!", Tirek growled!
Burst cracked a smile, "It's one of his effects. He's immune to all card effects! Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing! He gains 300 attack for each monster in my graveyard! Now, let's see how Dreadroot likes being the one who's afraid! Go, Absolute Harmony Burst Stream!" Blue Eyes Absolute let out a mighty roar as fired a rainbow colored burst stream that disintegrated the Wicked Dreadroot!
"Grraahhh!", Tirek howled as he took damage from the attack!

"Eraser was the weakest of my god cards, and you may have destroyed Dreadroot! But they pale in comparison to the power of the Wicked Avatar! Since I have no monsters on my field, I can special summon Evil HERO Infernal Prodigy and play Double Summon to bring out Double Coston! Now I sacrifice them to summon the Wicked Avatar! You'll soon regret bringing out such a powerful monster! Now he gains attack equal to your monster plus 100! And I also equip him with Megamorph to double his attack! Say goodbye to Blue Eyes!", Tirek cried with an evil smile plastered onto his face! Suddenly, a bright blue aura began to form around Burst.
"Mirror Force!", Burst cried as he activated his trap!
"NO!", Tirek screamed as the trap reflected the force of his monster's attack right back at it! Wiping it off the field! Soon the aura around Burst faded. When the light was gone, Burst's eyes looked just like a Dragon's. But what was most noticeable was the pair of white dragon wings that had sprouted on his back. And for the first time in his life, Tirek actually was afraid! 'Those eyes! They burn with fury and a sense of absolute victory! Is this what it means to truly share a bond with cards?! '
"This is the power of the bond I share with Blue Eyes! And the power we have when fight for those we care about!", Burst shouted! "You hold no bond with your monsters, and fight only for yourself! End this Blue Eyes! Absolute Harmony Burst Stream!" Tirek had no time to brace himself for the sheer force of the blast!

"YOU HAVE FAILED US TIREK! ", Dreadroot bellowed!
"Now you shall pay the penalty for failure! Say farewell to your life!", Eraser hissed! Tirek panicked as his body began to be consumed by the shadows of the wicked god cards! But when it seemed that he would meet his end, he saw a hand reaching for his!
"TIREK!", Burst shouted, "If you want to fix this and want a second chance, take my hand! NOW!" Tirek scrambled as he grasped Burst's hand, and was pulled out of the shadows! When he was free, there was a little kid in his place!
"I'm sorry!", Tirek sobbed, "I d..didn't want to hurt anyone! I just wanted to be stronger!"
"It's alright.", Burst said with a kind smile. "It's over now. You can go home. Now then, go to your brother!"
"IT IS NOT OVER!", Dreadroot roared! "WE SHALL FEAST UPON HIS ENERGY!" Burst's gaze steeled in fury! He gave a glance to Blue Eyes, and the dragon gave an understanding nod.
"Your evil ends here wicked gods! ", Blue Eyes roared! "Absolute Burst!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOO! ", the wicked gods howled as they were obliterated from the force of the absolute burst stream!
Burst's friends were waiting for him back on the ship. All of them marveling at his new appearance.
"Such gorgeous wings!", Rarity swooned. "And those eyes of yours look so cool!", Rainbow said. Sunset and Gilda had bright smiles on their faces when they noticed that the energy had returned to their decks! "WAY TO GO BURST!", everyone cheered. "I owe you my thanks.", Scorpan said with young Tirek close behind him.
"WELL MET YOUNG BLUE EYES! ", a new voice boomed from the heavens! Soon, three flashes of light went off, and three figures were standing before them. Soon, all of their monsters were bowing in reverence to these three creatures. Before them were the three Egyptian god cards!
"Once again, the two of you have saved our worlds.", Slifer spoke.
"Both of you have proven yourselves. You have our eternal gratitude. ", Ra said.
"Your heroics shall never be forgotten. FAREWELL YOUNG HEROES! ", Obelisk boomed as the gods returned to the monster world.
"Well, that was officially one of the coolest moments of my life.", Burst said calmly. "See ya guys at home!"
"What do you mean by that?", Sunset asked. Burst smiled and pointed to his new wings. "Oh. Forgot about those."
"Come on Blue Eyes!"
"Right behind you!", Blue Eyes said as the two of them flew back home.
'I don't know what's coming next. But whatever it is, I know it's going to be amazing! ', Burst thought to himself.

"Dear Princess Twilight. You wouldn't believe what me and my friends have just been through! What we once thought was a simple car game was so much more. For one thing, the monsters are all real and they come from their own world. Also, there have been duelists who have partnered with evil monsters to try and conquer both worlds! Fortuantely, my friend Burst Stream and his partner Blue Eyes have put a stop to them. They also shared names with villains from Equestria. The first one was Sombra, and he was destroyed. And the second one, Tirek, was turned into a child and reformed. Oh, I almost forgot! Burst can now grow dragon wings and his eyes become dragon-like when he bonds with blue eyes. Sincerely, Sunset Shimmer ", Sunset said as she wrote the message in her journal.
Meanwhile in Equestria
Twilight had woken up when she heard the journal she kept to stay in contact with Sunset buzz. Opening it up, her jaw nearly dropped when she read the message.

I'll play Silver's Cry to revive the Blue Eyes I sent to the graveyard and reveal the Blue Eyes in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Now I'll use his effect! I can target and destroy one monster you control and destroy it! Burst Strike! Now Blue Eyes, attack him directly! White Lightning!"
Blue Eyes released a powerful ball of lightning that hit Shining directly! "Lightning does strike twice!", Blue Eyes joked.
Burst: 8000 Shining Armor: 5000
"Perfect!", Shining said, "I play Double Summon and summon Heroic Challenger-Swordshield and Heroic Challenger-Spartan! Now I xyz summon Heroic Champion Excalibur! Now I detach both overlay units to double his attack and play Heroic Chance! This doubles his attack again! Now destroy Blue Eyes White Dragon! Excalibur Slash!"
Burst: 3000 Shining: 5000
"Impressive combo Shining! But I'm not out yet! I play Dragon Shrine and send one dragon to the graveyard, and I'll send Blue Eyes White Dragon! Now I play Dragon's Mirror and banish my dragons to summon Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Attack Excalibur! Now I'll activate his effect! I'll send a blue eyes fusion monster from my extra deck to the graveyard so he can attack again! Go, Neo Neutron Blast Barrage!"
Neo Ultimate roared as he swatted Excalibur with his tail, knocking him unconscious! Then he unleashed a barrage of neutron blasts that collided into Shining! "Who needs to be knight in shining armor when you can be a heroic dragon?", Ultimate boasted.

Tirek was furious! That fool Sombra failed in trying to claim dominion over both realms at Duelist Kingdom! Defeated at the hands of this "Burst Stream!".
A scowl grew onto Tirek's face, "This 'Burst Stream' must have been either lucky, or incredibly skilled. No matter! Where Sombra has failed, I will prevail! The monsters at my disposal far outclass Zorc! Come to me! Wicked Gods! Eraser! Dreadroot! Avatar!", he cried as three demonic creatures materialized from a gigantic orb of shadow. The first looked like a dragon with a large helmet on it's head. This was the Wicked Eraser. The next looked like a gigantic demon wearing bones as armor, it's very presence evoked fear. This was the Wicked Dreadroot. And the last looked like a black sun, holding no form and held the cold presence of nothingness, hungering for form and power. This was the Wicked Avatar.
"Hear me!", Trek shouted, "Together, we shall subjugate all those that live in our realms to our rule! All shall know fear and pain as long as we reign! Their spirits nothing more than energy for our power!" The wicked gods let out horrendous shrieks and roars in anticipation on their dominion! None would be safe from them! And no one would stand in the way of their victory!

Duel 4: Black Luster Brawl
Sunset had decided to find some duels, and had won about three. In total she had won about four locater cards. She had noticed a duel that was wrapping up, when BLS materialized.
"Sunset, I'm sensing another Black Luster Soldier monster. And it's coming from the winner of that duel!"
As BLS spoke, the winner of the duel seemed to notice her and made his way toward her. He had silver hair and light grey skin with green eyes.
"So, you have a BLS monster too?", he asked.
"Yeah. And so do you, but it's different than mine.", Sunset said, "So what's your name?"
"Steel Edge. And my duel partner is BLS-Super Soldier", Steel said as BLS-Super Soldier materialized.
"Well then, let's see how they stack up! Let's duel!"
Sunset: 8000 Steel: 8000
"I'm up first.", Steel said, "I summon Charging Gaia the Fierce Knight! His effect lets me summon him without tributing, but his attack becomes 1900. Now place one card face down. Your move."
"I draw!", Sunset said, "I special summon Guardian Eatos since I don't have any monsters in my graveyard. Attack Charging Gaia!"
Sunset: 8000 Steel: 7400
"Not a bad start. But now I can bring out my best monster! I play Super Soldier Ritual and sacrifice Gaia the Mid-Knight Sun and Gaia, the Polar Knight from my hand to ritual summon Black Luster Soldier-Super Soldier! Attack Guardian Eatos!" BLS-Super Soldier leapt into the air, and brought down Eatos with one fell swipe! "Now his effect activates! Since he destroyed your monster by battle, you take damage equal to it's attack!"
Sunset: 5000 Steel: 7400
"No wonder he's called super soldier! That effect is insanely powerful! But I'm not out of the duel yet! I play Double Summon to bring out Vylon Prism and Breaker the Magical Warrior! Now I tune them to synchro summon Stardust Dragon, and banish them to the graveyard to special summon BLS-Envoy of the Beginning from my hand! I also pay 500 life points to attach Vylon Prism to BLS to boost his power by 1000 points during the damage step if he attacks or is attacked! BLS, Take down Super Soldier! Also since he's destroyed your monster by battle, he gets to attack again! And Stardust can attack you directly! Cosmic Flame!"
Sunset: 5000, win Steel: lose
"Aw man! My face down was no good that time. Well, here's the locater cards I've won.", Steel said. Meanwhile, Envoy and Super Soldier were congratulating each other.
"Well met duel Envoy. Your victory was well earned."
"Thanks Super! Maybe we should have a reunion with our brothers and our Gaia cousins back home."
Sunset smiled, "Thanks Steel! Looks like we're the first in the finals BLS!"

Duel 8: Inferno vs Scorpan
"Time for the next duel of the finals!", Kaiba said as the lottery machine spit out two new balls, "And the next round is: Inferno vs Scorpan!" Inferno stepped forward to meet his opponent, the duelists dressed in the white robe.
"Nice to meet ya! Good luck in our duel!", Inferno said.
"The same to you.", Scorpan said.
Inferno: 8000 Scorpan: 8000
"I'm up first!", Inferno said, "I summon Black Stone of Legend and tribute it to special summon Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon! Next I'll set two cards face down and end my turn."
"I draw.", Scorpan said, "I play the Sanctuary in the Sky field spell. Now I summon Warrior of Zera, and tribute him to special summon Archlord Zerato! Now I'll discard one light monster from my hand and activate his effect. This allows me to destroy all monsters on your field. Now Zerato, attack him directly!"
"Not so fast! I activate Compulsory Evacuation Device to return your monster to your hand! Now I'll normal summon Red Eyes Black Chick and banish him to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Now I'll use his effect to special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon from my hand! Attack him directly with Inferno Fire Blast!"
Inferno: 8000 Scorpan: 400
"I play Raigeki to wipe out your field. Then I play Trade-In to discard Zerato to draw two new cards. Next I'll play Hand Destruction to discard two more cards and drew two new ones. Now that I have four fairies in my graveyard to special summon Archlord Kristya! Now I'll banish one of the agent monsters I sent to the graveyard to special summon Master Hyperion! Now I banish another light type fairy monster from my graveyard to destroy one card on your field! Now, attack him directly! Divinity Strike!" Kristya and Hyperion fired two blasts of light that struck Inferno directly!
Inferno: 2500 Scorpan: 400
"Not bad! Now it's time for me to strike back! I play red eyes fusion! Come on out Archfiend Black Skull Dragon!" But as Inferno called out his monster's name, nothing happened! "What?! Why can't I summon Archfiend Black Skull?"
"Because as long as Kristya is one the field, neither of us can special summon."
"And your Hyperion can fry any card I summon or set. I guess I end my turn."
"Hyperion, attack him directly for game!", Scorpan cried out!
Inferno: lose Scorpan: 400, win
"Ah well, at least I gave it all I got!", Inferno said with a smile.
"You had me on the ropes for a second.", Scorpan said kindly, "A well-met duel indeed."
"Good luck in the finals!", Inferno said as he shook Scorpan's hand. At the same though, Scorpan's thoughts were elsewhere.
