A Different Kind of Party

It was a sunny day in Ponyville. There were no clouds in the sky, and the sun was rising in the most beautiful way. It was at a point in the sky where it was just peaking over the top of the castle, making a huge shadow cast over the ground in front. Inside said castle was the Princess of Friendship, a purple alicorn named Twilight Sparkle. She was in her castle discussing what she classed as 'important assignments' with her newly made friend, Starlight Glimmer.

"So, do you have any idea as to what you'd like your next friendship lesson to be?" Twilight asked Starlight. After an awkward silence when the pink unicorn failed to reply, the alicorn grabbed a scroll from the other side of the room with her magic. "I narrowed the possibilities down for us to save some time." She tilted her head slightly as the purple light from her horn unravelled the scroll in mid air. It was like a beige sheet of wallpaper someone had decided to write a Daring Do novel on.

So these are only a few possibilities? she thought. Rarity could use this to make enough dresses to clothe every mare in Equestria. Twice. She glanced at Twilight, thinking of something to say. "Well..." she glanced back at the scroll, then around the room. It was a rather barren room for a castle, containing only seven chairs (eight if you count Spike's) around a circular table with a three-dimensional map of Equestria in the centre. Starlight's gaze then met the scroll again, before she looked at Twilight (who was grinning like an idiot) and grunted in an unsure tone, "erm..."

"If you don't want any of these I have another scroll over there." The Princess indicated the bookshelf behind Starlight, by the doors into the room. But before she could grab another carpet - sized scroll, and before Starlight could be baffled by the alicorn, there was a slow knock on the front door. Much to the magenta mare's fortune, Twilight left the room to see who - or what - was at the door.

After a minute or so, the princess returned with a letter in her magic. "This is for you."
Starlight took the envelope. It was florescent pink and smelled of freshly baked goods. She opened it to discover a hoofwritten note covered in confetti. It read:

You are lucky enough to be invited to Pinkie's latest, craziest, wildest, most super awesome amazing partaay! Come on down to Sugar Cube Corner this afternoon. Hosted for Starlight Glimmer as a little welcome present. Please be there. It will be the party of a lifetime.

-Pinkie.

After her friend had finished reading the note, Twilight spoke up. "Well, Starlight, this would make an amazing friendship lesson."

The two arrived at Sugar Cube Corner about mid-afternoon. As they entered, they were greeted by Mrs. Cake. "Hello, girls. Pinkie's waiting for you upstairs." After they had said thank you, Twilight and Starlight headed upstairs and entered Pinkie's room.

"Hello!" She greeted. "I'm sooo glad you could make it here! You have to try this cake!" The trio sat around a circular table with a red and white patterned cloth. On top of it were two plates, each holding up a mouth - watering slice of cake. It was chocolate with colourful sprinkles on top and small white spots scattered randomly inside the food itself. The princess and her unicorn friend sat down and tucked in whilst the earth pony rested her chin on her hooves and gave a condescending smirk.

"Are you not having any, Pinkie?" Twilight asked through a mouth full of cake. To her it tasted chocolatey, but also bizarrely of medication. She didn't quite know what to think of it.

"No thanks, I'm not hungry."

Twilight stared at her pink pal suspiciously. It wasn't like Pinkie Pie to turn down be full.

Realising her excuse wasn't fooling her friend, Pinkie tried to come up with a better reason. "I mean," she said a little too quickly, "who do you think ate the rest of the cake, silly?!"

Starlight didn't feel too well. The cake tasted very strange, and she started to feel dizzy. "Err, Pinkie, what's, erm, in this cake?" As she asked, she looked at Twilight, who looked like she was going to pass out.

"Well, it contains eggs, milk, sugar, flour, fun-" she gave a giddy little laugh," -and sleeping medication."

As Starlight listened to her tea body's response, she heard a crash. Twilight seemed to have fallen off her chair. She seemed to be unconscious.

'...and sleeping medication.'

As Pinkie had named that ingredient, Starlight's eyes shot open and her pupils shrunk. She had been drugged! No wonder the cake tasted peculiar. She had to do something, but her vision was already starting to blur. Damn! She too fell to the ground, sleeping deeper than Rainbow Dash whenever she was asked to help with any work. Pinkie kept her position of chin on hooves throughout the whole event. Starlight's knife fell to the floor with a clunk. Eventually, she got up from her seat and said to herself, "it's time..."

A few moons later, Twilight opened her eyes. Everything was blurry and black. She blinked a couple of times. She felt her head pounding. What had happened? Where was she? Was Starlight okay? Little did she know that these questions would soon be answered.
As her vision gradually returned, more and more of the dismal room came into focus, and she realised she was in more trouble than she'd initially thought. Starlight was in front of her, also strapped to a chair, only she looked less comfortable than the alicorn did. She had a gag over her mouth, stopping her from speaking. There were fresh scratches of her face and chest with specs of blood accompanying them, and she looked like he's been crying.

"Mmm - mmh lmm" The unicorn was trying to talk to her.

"S-Starlight... what h...happened...?
"Mmm eey ey!" A tear rolled down her snout. "Eey gmm maa!"
Twilight thought the last part sounded like 'She's gone mad' but the first bit was inaudible.
Her eyes moved off the sorry sight of her friend to inspect the rest of the room. Her heart froze. Around the dark, damp and depressing dungeon were various tools: axes, knifes, saws, razors and even a chainsaw. There was a hammer proper up against the wall, between a bucket of a transparent liquid and a rusty metal door. A single candle shone from above it, providing the room with its only light source. She saw a propane tank a few feet to her right and what looked like a box with a glass lid containing a blade to her left. Her frozen heat melted and evaporated as she heard hoofsteps coming from behind the door. Her friend gave of a muffled scream of "eeys maam".

The door creeked open to reveal a figure holding a candle. "Twilight! You're awake!" The princess recognised this shrill voice.

"Pinkie? What...what are you doing?" She stuttered, fear flooding her speech.

"You see," Pinkie spoke slowly with a fake sweetness in her voice. Twilight noticed her mane was down, something that wasn't a common sight. "You, Twilight, are one of my closest friends, and to me, you are like my family. And, if somepony tries to hurt my family, then they won't get to see theirs again!" With this she swung her hoof at Starlight, catching her right in the face. The mare in the chair was taken aback after seeing her pink pal punch her purple palace-mate in the muzzle. Pinkie then walked over to a box hidden behind a machete and pulled out a pie. "Of course, I said you could come around for cake, so why not have some?"
She proceeded to hold the pie over Starlight's face, and keep it there for a good five seconds.
"Nice, isn't it?" When she pulled it away her victim spluttered and coughed violently. "Aww, it's all over your face. Messy mare. Let's clear you up." The party animal put a hoof to Starlight's tear stained face and scraped the cream towards the mare's nostrils, ears, eyes and taped up mouth.
"I'm sorry, that didn't help. How about this?" She leaned towards the mare and started licking her face, getting slobber in her prisoner's nostrils and ear canals, fur and eyes. Starlight felt like she was being rubbed in wet sandpaper. The coldness, the stickiness, the roughness made her face tingle and eyes sting. She shuddered in her seat.

"Well," Pinkie Pie muttered when she finally moved away, a string of saliva arcing from her lip to Starlight's face. "That didn't work either. Well, only one thing for it..." She picked up a bottle. "Hydrochloric acid!" Starlight gave a scream of agony as the pink psycho emptied the bottle slowly down her forehead. Twilight closed her eyes tight, grimacing hard, trying to block her senses to the cruel reality unfolding opposite. Tears escaped from the corners of her eyes: tears of pain and fear.

"There, that shifted it!" Pinkie sounded as if she was getting some twisted rush from this. Twilight opened her eyes only to recoil away as she saw the lavender horse's whitened face and bloodshot eyes stared back. "C'mon, Twilight, remember, this is the mare who tried to enslave us all! I'm doing you a favour here! She deserves it!" Pinkie Pie walked up to the alicorn.
"P... Pinkie..." Twilight said in a faint voice. "P... Please, st... Stop this." Her reply was a snort.
"Oh no, Twilight. She must PAY for what she did!"
"N... No..."
"YES!" The deranged pony grabbed a glass bottle and swung it at Twilight, hitting its target of the Princess' right cheek. She put the broken end in her hoof in Starlight's chest, causing blood to trickle out as shards penetrated her rib. The mare didn't have enough energy to scream.
"What, dying already? I knew you were no fun!" Pinkie huffed. "Well, I can't have you die... I want to kill you!" She skipped over to a wooden handled machete. "Sweet dreams, Starlight. Say hello to Discord for me!" The sharp iron blade went into the deformed carcass of Starlight. Starlight's eyes widened, and then looked into Twilight's before rolling slowly into the back of her head, her body going limp, falling against the back of the chair. Pinkie Pie gave her a small his on the lips. "Hmm, acidic." She pulled the machete out of the corpse and walked over to Twilight. "Well, Princess, there's only one thing left to do here, isn't there? She mocked, licking blood off of the blade in her hooves. "I hope you understand why I must do this..." She raised the machete. Twilight shut her eyes in fear, waiting for the inevitable. Then, a noise like a knife going through a lump of meat filled the air. After a few seconds, Twilight opened her eyes to see a horrific image of the pink horse with a blade through her neck. It gave one last sick, twisted smile before falling to the ground.

Despite it being lifeless, the wreck maintained its smile, and it's eyes were open, staring into Twilight's, showing no emotion or life. And Twilight sat there, wondering what had happened. And wondered. And wondered.

End?

Author's Note

Well, there we go. I've been working on this story for about eight weeks now so feedback is greatly appreciated. Feel free to add this to any groups you think go with this story. Thank you for reading. YouTube readings are fine, if you want to.
This is probably both the best thing I've ever written, but also the worst. Sweet dreams.
