Going Through High School... Again...

Goodbye World...

I was in one of my moods. You know when you just get real moody at everything? I kinda did that... a lot...

Anyway, I had just finished high school, graduated and got into university and everything, but there was just nothing to do! So, I did the first thing that came to me: Go for a walk.

Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Alex Sora, 18 year old high school graduate. I stand at 6' 1'' with long light brown hair, almost ginger, that covers my right eye. I was decently built, having to work with my dad. He owns a removalist company and frequently brings me along. Thankfully I got paid for it.

Anyway, taking us to now. I was walking through the park, earphones in and listen to music, when I was approached by a random stranger.

"Hello!" He greeted eagerly, "What brings you to these parts?" Figuring I would show common courtesy and hold a conversation instead of just shying away like I normally do, I responded to him.

"Just trying to solve the problem of world boredom." I responded in a dull voice. Yeah, I never had many friends in high school. Because of that, my actions in social situations aren't completely... refined. Yeah, let's go with that.

"Ah, just graduated, didn't you?" He asked. I looked up in shock, which is when I got a decent look at him. He had either natural red eyes or red contacts, his hair was grey with some black streaking through it, a permanent smirk on his face and a white goatee.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" I asked, genuinely curious on how he figured it out.

"I've seen that type of look and heard that response plenty of times, my boy." He answered, his smirk widening slightly. "Anyway, I may be able to relieve you of that boredom if you so choose."

I looked at him sceptically. "Really?"

"Really." He told me. "Why don't I join you for your walk and tell you about it." I shrugged in response, not really caring.

The two of us walked along, with the man talking animatedly about other worlds and the like. It was an interesting conversation, but I didn't see what it had to do with me.

"This is interesting and all," I cut in, "But what does this have to do with me?" The man looked over at me, annoyance flashing across his face before a shocked look replaced it.

"Forgive me for not doing this earlier, but my name is Discord. Pleased to meet you." He said with a small bow. I smiled at him and introduced myself in return.

"Name's Alex, and don't worry about not introducing yourself. Hell, in school I didn't even know most of my years' names." Discord chuckled at that.

"I know how that feels, but that's not what we're talking about here. You wanted to know what my talk about alternate universes had to do with you, yes?" I nodded, "Well, let's just say I have a way that could alleviate that boredom problem of yours."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you saying that you can send me to another world? 'Cause that's impossible. And not to mention you sound crazy when you talk about things like that being a possibility."

Discord chuckled at me. "That's only because people don't have any actual proof." He looked at me, almost like he was searching for my soul or something. "You did want something to keep you occupied, correct?" Once again I nodded, but more hesitantly. "Then this should keep you occupied and generate a bit of chaos for me! It's a win-win situation!"

I finally took note of our surroundings, which was a thick forest, nothing of which I knew or recognised. "Where are we?" I asked nervously.

"Hm? Oh, I just want to show you something." Discord said casually.

"Oh God, I swear if it's your dick-" Discord cut me off by his sudden laughter and I swear I heard birds flying away.

When he finally stopped, Discord wiped a tear from his eye, still chuckling. "No no, nothing like that my boy. I just wanted to show you what I really look like."

"So you're stripping?" Once again, Discord started laughing loud enough to be heard from anywhere in the world.

"How about I show you what I mean." He said after his laughter calmed. Quickly snapping his fingers, Discord was enveloped in a bright light. I had to look away until it was done. When it was though...

My God.

Standing, or should I say floating, was a creature that I've never seen before. Think of every animal you can, and splice them all together.

"This is what I wanted to show you." It said.

"Discord?"

"The one and only." Discord said, now wearing a tux, top hat as he bowed.

"...What the fuck are you?" I asked after a pause.

"I am known as a Draconequus. To be more specific, the God of Chaos. Some ponies say that I'm merely the Spirit of Chaos, but what do they know?" He looked at me with a smirk.

"Uh... Nothing?" I offered.

"Exactly! Now, the specifics of what will happen." Discord snapped his talon and a contract appeared in his paw as glasses appeared on the end of his muzzle. "Read through this and make sure you get all of the fine print."

I took the paper off him and started reading through it.

Dear Potential Client,

Within this random contract that my imagination cooked up are the specifics of what the two of us will receive by signing of this contract.

I will send you to another dimension where you will no longer be as bored.

You in return will no doubt cause some glorious chaos for me to watch and go about your normal daily life.

I give you a random power to spice things up but I won't tell you what it is.

You get to use this power however you see fit, but you must use it at least once a month to meet your chaos quota.

I will give you the means to survive for a week.

You need to find a way to sustain yourself.

I will let you take three items with you.

You must do any given task of mine just once.

If all these requirements are acceptable, please sign on the given line.

Signed: ______________________________________________

Don't forget to have fun!

I looked over the contract a couple more times before shrugging and going with it. Why the fuck not? I mean, it's not like I can do any better here.

"Do you have a pen?" I asked my random companion.

"Right here!" Discord announced, making a pen appear in his clenched paw before giving it to me.

"Cheers." I signed the contract after reading through it one more time and handed it back to Discord.

"Many thanks, friend!" Discord said happily. "Now, what do you want to bring with you?"

I tapped a finger to my chin in thought, processing what I would need. "Do these items have to be personal possessions?"

Discord's smile faltered slightly. "Unfortunately, yes. As much as I would love to be able to give you any item, I wouldn't have enough magic to send you to another dimension after piercing the veil around multiple dimensions to drag an item through and then repair it."

"Damn." I muttered. I thought it over before thinking of a potential problem.

"Do I get to bring all of the possessions I have on my person?" If not then I would have to ask for those.

"Ah, you have a sharp mind, something I've found to be severely lacking where I'm from. It's refreshing." Discord commented. "Anyway, yes you will have anything currently on you." I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Alright, then I'd like to bring my laptop including any chargers for any electronic devices I have, my PS4 with all of my games pre-installed, and my StatTrak fedora. Love that thing." I told the chaotic being in front of me.

"Of course!" Discord snapped his talon and the items appeared in a bag on my back. I took it off slipped out the StatTrak fedora, I put it on and tipped it at him. I quickly took it off to look at the Tip Counter.

"307. Hmm, think you can reset it?" I asked Discord.

"Sure, but why?"

I shrugged, "Fresh start. Might as well reset the counter."

"Meh, why not?" Discord snapped his talons and I watched the Tip Counter reset itself.

"Thanks." I said. I quickly checked through my bag, making sure I had everything. "Alright, what's this random task that you want me to do?"

"I was wondering if you'd forget about it." Discord said as he stroked his goatee with his paw. "All I want you to do is..." I leaned in closer, "Have fun!" He said suddenly. A snap of his paw later and I found myself falling through a random portal. Lights sped past me as I heard Discord's voice echo throughout the tunnel I was in.

"Don't forget to have fun!"
