Twilight vs. Evil Deadby Subject ZeroChaptersPrologue: A Rough BeginningChapter 1: The ArrivalChapter 2: The PossessionPrologue: A Rough BeginningPrologue: A Rough Beginning Clover the Clever sighed. She was happy Starswirl was giving a break, but it was so unusual for her. She had to admit, the cabin he found was very nice. She wondered how long it’d been there. “So, how do you like it, Miss Clover?” He addressed her formally, but as a joke. Just because he was a powerful and intelligent wizard didn’t mean he couldn’t have fun as well. “It’s very nice. I really like it. Though, can’t you call me Clover for the break?” She responded. “Or should I call you Mister Starswirl?” The mare then cracked a grin. “It’s alright, Clover. Let’s get settled in.” Night had fallen, and Clover and Starswirl were enjoying themselves, informally chatting and drinking tea, when a trap door flew open with a loud crash. As they were both curious ponies, neither objected to finding out what caused the door to swing open. The basement-cellar was neglected for many years apparently, judging by the spiderwebs and dust. It was what the two found though, that intrigued the pair. Aside from a book made apparently of flesh, there were two futuristic weapons and a dagger with a handle made of what looked like bones. The pair agreed to only take the book and read through it. Clover decided to record the readings using her magic. Clover was terrified at the results of reading the book out loud. What the hell had happened to her mentor? Once finding a safe place to hide, she read (and recorded) a useful message. That didn’t mean she liked it though. The only way to stop the possession was through bodily dismemberment. She looked for another way, but there was none. She knew what had to be done. She went back down to the cellar. She picked up one of the futuristic weapons using her magic. She cried while loading a cylinder shell into the weapon. She crept upstairs, tears still streaming down her face. She had to find her mentor turned monster. She checked through the whole cabin, but could not find him. She traveled to the main door and paused. Was it really worth it? Could she just try getting out? “No, that’d be betraying him. I know I’d want him to do the same for me, if it were me,” She told herself. But could she really do it? Could she bring it upon herself to kill her mentor? She wished she was still in Canterlot, continuing with her studies. But she had to do this. She opened the door and stepped out. The mare levitated the weapon next to her, and started looking for her former mentor, crying all the while. She knew finding him would be hard, and killing him, much harder. But she had to do it. She knew this. Trotting around, giving cursory glances around her, she finally found him. He look so different. He looked rotted. She knew he wasn’t Starswirl anymore, but rather a demon in his shell. Telling herself this, she brought up the weapon, and fired. She was able to decapitate him. She laid down, crying, for at least an hour. Eventually, she got up and trotted back to the cabin. She put the book and the weapon back, and trotted up the stairs. She closed the trapdoor. She was going to get out of here. As she stepped outside and closed the door behind her, she smelled the crisp morning air. She started back to the path that lead her to this cursed place. She was free! If only that were the case. Something grabbed her. Her screams were only heard by the trees as she was pulled under the ground, never to be seen again. Author's Note This is my first story on the site, so enjoy. Please be kind with critiquing, and let me know of any grammatical mistakes I might have made. Otherwise, let me know if you liked it! Chapter 1: The ArrivalChapter 1: The Arrival Ten friends were on their way to a vacation cabin in the Everfree Forest. The friends being Twilight Sparkle, her marefriend, Pinkie Pie, and friends Spike, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, AppleJack, Rarity, Starlight Glimmer, Sunset Shimmer, and Moonlight Dream. Each was dating another. The pegasi had been dating for two years. AppleJack and Rarity had recently gotten together. Spike and Starlight had found that their love was mutual around last Hearth’s Warming, and Sunset and Moonlight had been in a relationship for the past few months. All were looking for a weekend of rest and relaxation. “Hey, Twi, where are we?” A cyan mare asked, piloting the carriage with her marefriend. “Well, let’s see, we just crossed the Everfree border,” The violet alicorn began, pulling out the map under the seat her and her pink marefriend sat on, “Which would put us riiiight…” The cyan mare was trying not to get impatient. “Riiiiiight about…” “Well?” Rainbow Dash finally asked. “Here!” Twilight announced. A delivery carriage nearly ran into them, but Rainbow Dash was quick enough to dodge it. Nonetheless, it made a certain cream pegasus scream in fear. “Geez, Dash, we could’ve gotten hurt there,” Sunset spoke. “In her defense, it’s not her fault that some amature delivery service was on the wrong side of the path,” Starlight responded. A few minutes later, somepony spoke up. “Has anypony been to the cabin yet?” Rarity questioned. “Not for quite some time anyway,” The Rainbow maned pilot replied. “So we’re staying at a cabin and nopony’s seen it yet?” She tried confirming. “Yah never know, Rare. It might not be that bad,” The white unicorns Southern marefriend comforted her. “Well, no, I guess not…” “It actually might be kinda nice,” AppleJack spoke again. “Yeah, you’re right,” Rarity smiled. “We’re close now,” Pinkie said excitedly. “Great!” Rainbow said. Once the ponies and dragon arrived at the cabin, Twilight went up to the porch to check the inside. She looked back at her marefriend for reassurance, and set hoof inside. Around ten minutes later, she stepped back out and gave the all clear. All of the ponies and dragon grabbed their luggage and settled down inside. It was time for a relaxing weekend. Or so they thought. Author's Note Well, this is the first chapter. Once again, the story will be mainly following the storyline of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead. Around Halloween, I'll release a blog post detailing the survivors and information about my OC, Moonlight Dream. Be kind in the comments, and see you later! Chapter 2: The PossessionChapter 2: The Possession The ponies and dragon had all gotten unpacked and were ready to relax. The weekend was going to be a nice, fun, relaxing weekend, or so they had been under this impression. None knew what was really in store for them. “Hey, Dashie, like this necklace I got for Twily?! I think she’ll like it, don’t you?!” An overactive pink mare questioned her friend once her marefriend left the room. “Pinkie Pie, you know I’m not one for fashion,” Rainbow Dash paused, then added, “Though, it does look like it’d suit her. You should surprise her with it.” “I totally should! Omigosh, thank you Rainbow Dash! I’m going to do that like right now!” The pink mare spoke quickly. “Yeah, you go do that,” the cyan mare went unheard as the pink mare had already dashed out. She sighed and went into the room she and Fluttershy would be staying in. The cabin had just enough bedrooms. Giving her marefriend a quick kiss on the cheek, the two mares laid on the bed, and cuddled, taking their minds off of the previous month’s troubles. Pinkie had placed the necklace in a small box and sat down on a loveseat in the hallway containing all the rooms. All she had to do was wait for the lavender alicorn to exit their room. As soon as she heard the door open, the pink mare pretended to be asleep. It was the small box that piqued Twilight’s attention. She quietly sat next to her seemingly asleep marefriend. She decided to use her hooves to obtain the box, so as not to wake her beautiful mare. When her hoof brushed Pinkie’s fur, the pink mare dropped the facade. “Stealing from the blind, huh?” She inquired. “What?” Twilight had managed to ask. “Nevermind, let’s just open it and see what it is,” Pinkie then spoke excitedly. “Uh, okay…” Twilight just agreed. As the pink mare opened the box, Twilight gasped in surprise at the pendant. “Oh, it’s beautiful! Thanks Pinkie!” She said as she put the necklace on. “Aw, you’re welcome, my little star.” Rarity was at the little desk in her room, drawing a sketch for her next design, when the pencil she was using started going berserk. She had no control over it, until the window shutter slammed open. She look back at the drawing and found it resembled a burnt face. Then, something outside grabbed the unicorn’s attention. She trotted outside to check it out. Wandering too far, she tripped on a branch, or at least thought she did. Somehow, a twig had wrapped itself around her hoof. The same started happening with all of her hooves as the forest came alive. After several moments of struggling, she remembered she could use her magic. Using it to get herself free, she started running back to the cabin. She reached the door and found it was locked. She started screaming and banging on the door. She tried using her magic to unlock the door, but that proved ineffective. Just as she was about to break a window to get in, Twilight opened the door. Rarity rushed inside, and shut and locked the door. “Rarity, calm down, tell me what happened.” After several minutes, Rarity calmed down, but still would not recount what happened. By this time, everypony was in the livingroom of the cabin. Suddenly, a trapdoor that nopony noticed bursted open. After exchanging glances, Rainbow Dash went down to check it out. After about two minutes of her not returning, Twilight nervously followed the pegasus to ensure she was safe. Using her horn for light, the princess glanced around. Suddenly, a rainbow-maned pegasus grabbed her from behind. “What the hell, Rainbow Dash, you scared me. And everypony else, for that matter.” Twilight gave her friend a stern look. “Sorry. Though, you should’ve seen the look on your face! Priceless!” The other mare snarkily replied. “Whatever, let’s just hurry up and check it out.” The two mares checked it out, finding a chainsaw and a single action shotgun next to a dagger and a book looking like it was made of flesh. Shortly thereafter, Rarity starting spasming in midair. All of the sudden, she lunged at Starlight, injuring the unicorn. Once she was subdued, she was locked in the cellar. Though, it was obvious to the mare, or rather the demon possessing her, that she wouldn’t stay like that for too long. Author's Note I wrote this chapter at the library while listening to Megalovania. It really got me in the mood for writing horror. Anyway, let me know what you think. This chapter will definitely go down as one of the hardest to write due to trying to capture the characters in the actions of the movie. Comment and critique, but please be kind.
