Today was flight lessons for Scootaloo, and she couldn't be happier. Earlier Rainbow Dash promised Scootaloo that if she did well in school she would do some of her new stunts. Scootaloo had made very good progress, or at least in Rainbow Dash's opinion. Scootaloo had gone from uselessly flapping her wings to being able to hover on her own for over two hours.

"This so awesome!" Scootaloo said to herself as she watched Rainbow Dash finish perfoming another stunt. Rainbow Dash began another stunt by starting a loop, smiling at her biggest fan's admiration. Rainbow treated Scootaloo like a sister, but sometimes it seemed like she was more of a mother than a sister, only sometimes though.

When Dash finally landed from her last stunt she was barraged by Scootaloo's fan-crazed rambling,"Ohmygoshrainbowdashthatwasthecoolestthingeveryouareth- " Scootaloo was interupted when Rainbow Dash put a hoof over her mouth.

"Okay that was pretty awsome, but I do have another trick that I need a partner for." Dash said with a big smirk on her face,"But I can't fly." Said Scootaloo with a hint of despair," Don't worry about that, just hold on tight and only let go when I tell you." Rainbow said, recieving a confused look from Scootaloo as she hopped on.

Wrapping her hooves around Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo signaled to her that she was safely on her back. Rainbow took off as quick as she could without sending Scootaloo flying off. Scootaloo struggled to hold on as Rainbow Dash flew straight up into the air before she started to do a loop, "Ok let go now, and don't worry I'll catch you!" Dash said as Scootaloo reluctantly let go and fell.

Scootaloo waited with her eyes sealed shut for Rainbow Dash to catch her. As the seconds ticked by Dash had yet to grab Scootaloo. Which worried her. Upon opening her eyes Scootaloo saw the to the ground she was and immediatly she released a terrified scream. The seconds ticked by as Scootaloo fell to the ground, which was also getting closer. Scootaloo began to flap her wings rapidly which only slowed her descent.

Suddenly something crashed into Scootaloo frightning her until she realized who it was,"I told you I would catch you." Rainbow Dash said with a slight chuckle,"Rainbow Dash! That wasn't funny, I thought I was gonna die!" Scootaloo yelled to her idol who managed to say something in the midst of her constant chuckling,"Well you don't need to worry any more, as long as I'm here nothing will hap-" before Rainbow Dash could finish a net crashed into them, sending them into a canopy of nearby trees.

The sounds of branches cracking and snapping followed Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo's descent until they landed with a different kind of snapping sound followed by a cry of pain from Rainbow Dash,"Rainbow Dash are you ok, what happened!?" Scootaloo said in a terrified tone, frantically looking for a way out,"I...d-don't know, but I think my wing is broken." Rainbow said through gritted teeth.

"Over here I found 'em!" said a deep, menacing voice that frightened both pegasi to their cores.

Rainbow Dash quickly tore out a piece of rope despite the pain of her body having to lay on her broken wing. And began to shove Scootaloo out.

"Scootaloo you have go now! I'll be fine just go!" Rainbow said as three creatures appeared not far from where they were. One was tall, green, small pointed ears, and had small tusks coming from the bottom of its mouth. The second one was about the same height but had more of a white colored skin, had no tusks, rounded ears, and long blonde hair. The third creature appeared to be a mix of the second creature and a lizard. The lizard had black scales and small horns on the front of its head. They all had armor made of various leathers and furs.

"Hey get back here!" yelled the lizard who then began to run after Scootaloo while the others grabbed Rainbow Dash.

Scootaloo ran as fast as she could, frantically flapping her wings in hopes that it might increase her speed. A very desprate and useless act in the lizard's opinion. Scootaloo saw a thick row of bushes and ran toward them in hopes of loosing the creature. As she approached a large brown object sailed overhead and crashed into the lizard, tackling it to the ground.

The identity of her rescuer made Scootaloo's heart stop. The brown object wasn't something that somepony threw or another pony at all, it was a timberwolf! The lizard started to get up while pulling out a war axe to deal with the new foe. It was then the timberwolf lunged at the lizard's neck, and clamped its jaws down on it. Blood spraying from its neck, the lizard screaming in agony as it attempted to hack at the wolf meeting little success.

Scootaloo took this opprotunity to make a run for it, despite the gruesome scene playing out behind her. She wanted to throw up, cry, scream, and curl up in a ball in the nearest dark corner. To her this all seemed like a good dream gone bad in a matter of minutes. She had to keep running no matter what she wanted to do or how much her legs hurt she had to keep running for Rainbow Dash, and so she didn't have to worry about that timberwolf, also the screaming had stopped which only added fuel to the flames.

Spotting the edge of the forest Scootaloo began to feel some relief as she approached. Ahead of her were two more greenskins ahead of her, one with a club and the other with a net. As Scootaloo came to the edge of the forest the greenskin with the club swung it hitting Scootaloo square in the face, knocking her flat on her back. Scootaloo was in a daze as she was nearly unconscious on the ground, she couldn't feel anything as her vision darkened as if she was falling into a black void.
