//-------------------------------------------------------// Cookie and Derpy's Sweet Adventure -by RomanceWriter1- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Time With Some Sweet Friends //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Welcome to a prequel of Coltland Chronicles that happened two years before Coltland Chronicles 4. This is Cookie's very own story and it features Derpy and Doctor Whooves. Sorry if Derpy and Doctor Whooves are not written well in this in the rest of the chapters. It's my first time writing a character from MLP: FiM. Time With Some Sweet Friends Time With Some Sweet Friends “Bye, Mummy, I'm off to go play with Candy and Floss!” Cookie called out with excitement as she grabbed her rucksack that was full of fun games to play. “Okay, sweetie, where are your other friends?” Lily asked as she sorted out some flowers on the windowsill in the kitchen. “Golden Heart is at a charity event for foals with special needs, Topaz is sick in hospital and the Star Twins are at a Sapphire Shores concert with their Grandma Colette, Aunt Elizabeth, their cousin, Bubble and her fiancé, Jacinto, and Elizabeth's cousin, Dahlia.” Cookie trotted out of her house with her rucksack, as soon as she got onto the street, she started to jump about and waved and smiled to all the ponies in town, they would do the same as they loved Cookie for her excitable and sweet attitude around others. She got to Candy and Floss' home that was a shop filled with delicious sweets. They had opened it recently and were going to work there until they would pass away. If they had foals, the shop would go to them. Cookie knocked on the door with excitement and after a moment, Candy answered the door and gave her best friend a tight hug as if she was a cuddly stuffed animal. “Cookie, you're here!” Floss called from upstairs, she also gave her a hug, even tighter than her sister's. “How about you two learn to stop hugging me so tightly, or else I'm going to faint?” The Sweet Twins nodded and they both stood behind the counter that they used to give sweets to customers. “So, what games did you bring with you?” Candy asked with a grin and Cookie opened her rucksack and levitated a few board games out. “I have Ponyopoly, Manticores and Ladders, A Game of Arabland and Checkers.” “Let's play some Manticores and Ladders.” Floss said and she levitated the game in front of her and started to set it up. “No, let's play Ponyopoly!” Candy yelled and she stomped her right hoof onto the floor. “Manticores and Ladders!” “Ponyopoly!” Cookie gave a big sigh and stepped between the twins. “Alright, calm down, you two. I've got cookies!” She took out a box of chocolate chip cookies out of her rucksack and the Sweet Twins instantly grabbed the box out of her hooves and started to gobble up the treats. “One at a time, I need to eat some too. If you eat all of them and none for me, you're not going to get my cake or muffins the next time I'm around.” Candy and Floss stopped eating with a few cookies stuffed in their mouths. They stepped away from the box and pushed it aside. “Let's go and play Manticores and Ladders.” Floss responded and she took out the game pieces. “Fine but if this starts to get frustrating, we'll just make some sweets for the rest of the day.” Candy said and she gave a side glance to her sister. “Deal!” Cookie gave a small smile, sighed softly and shook her head slowly. She was so glad that she had friends like them. The three of them set up Manticores and Ladders on one of the tables that the customers would use if they wanted to eat the sweets in the shop rather than outside the shop. Floss went first and she moved her pony game piece seven paces and it landed on a manticore. “Sorry, sis, you'll have to move back three paces and wait for your turn again,” Candy said cheekily and she giggled a little. Floss sighed with anger and moved her game piece back three paces. “My turn!” She threw the two dices and was able to move six paces which was a pace behind where the manticore was. “Ha ha! So close to the manticore and you landed on it the first time!” Floss growled under her breath and she tackled Candy to the ground. “If you make fun of me like that one more time, you are going to be locked in the storage room for the whole day!” “Come on, sis, I was kidding around, no need to go all violent with me.” Cookie sighed and gave herself a facehoof. “Why don't we all make some treats now? Maybe customers will come by and you'll earn some bits.” Candy and Floss gasped and instantly galloped to the kitchen where they would make their delicious and mouth watering sweeties. Cookie followed her friends as well and got all of the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies with her magic. “Is there anything you make apart from cookies?” Candy responded with a giggle as she was getting the ingredients to make lollipops as Floss was making her candyfloss on the counter. “Sure, but cookies are my favourite. I know how to make Baked Alaska, jelly and loads more desserts.” Cookie replied with a big smile as she added the chocolate chips to the mixture in the bowl. “Wow, you are so amazing, Cookie, I wish we could make that much desserts like you. It's like you have a gift. Did anypony teach you on how to make them?” Cookie gave a sad sigh and took out a whisk to mix the chocolate chips and mixture. “Not really, I always taught myself to make new treats for everypony. My parents are too busy fighting to even help out. Or I ask Grandma Valentina to teach me since she is the head baker of the family. She's the only one who isn't having a fight with her husband and I rarely see him.” “I can't believe you're the only one out of all of us that has parents fighting. That must be really sad.” Floss said with a reassuring voice and she put her hoof onto Cookie's shoulder. “It is but I'm too afraid to even confront them about it,” Cookie said with a sad voice and Floss gave her a tight hug. The oven dinged and Cookie took out the cookies out of the oven and set them onto one of the kitchen counters. “Don't eat them yet, they're still hot, hot, hot.” “Aww, but I want them now.” Candy complained and she put her made sweets in a drawer where they kept them for customers. “Do you want to burn your mouth or tongue?” “No!” “Then don't eat them. I don't want to get my Grandpa Hugo to help you again for the fifth time that this has happened.” The door opened and Poppy walked in with three foals in a pram that had three spaces for them. “Hey, Poppy, what can we do for you?” Floss asked with a grin. “Oh, I'm just here to bring my son and my nephew and niece here to get some sweets for them while their parents are at that Sapphire Shores concert.” Poppy replied with a smile and she got a little of her mane out of her eyes. “I want sweets!” Bumblebee yelled and he kicked about. “Aunt Poppy, if I be good, will I get the sweets first?” Rose Petal asked with pleading eyes. “Mummy, when will Daddy be home from his gig?” Pumpkin asked with sad eyes. “Now, now, you three, you'll get your sweets after dinner. If you behave, maybe I'll give you them before dinner.” “Awww!” the three foals groaned and they went back to sleep. “How about Cookie's delicious, mouth watering, chocolate chip cookies?” Candy said with a small smile and she tickled Rose Petal's belly and the filly giggled and kicked. “Sure, I'll take them. How much will they be?” Poppy asked as she stared at the cookies that were sitting on the counter. “That'll be six bits.” Poppy took out the bits and put them on the counter, Floss put the cookies into a lunchbox and put them into Poppy's saddlebag. Derpy Hooves and Doctor Whooves walked about the town of Glascow, looking around with delight. “This was such a great idea to have a lovely vacation here! I wonder if there is a place that would have lots of muffins!” Derpy squealed with a smile. “We'll see, my dear, we'll see.” Doctor Whooves said and he gave her a kiss on the cheek. The two had been married for quite some weeks. They had planned the trip to Coltland for a long time and was told that it was a great vacation spot by a few of their friends. “Hey, look, a bakery!” The couple looked at it for a moment and both nodded as they agreed to go and check it out.
