"THE DAY IS MY ENEMY, THE NIGHT MY FRIEND!"

I woke up to "The Day Is My Enemy" by The Prodigy blaring out of my alarm clock set to radio. "DOWN!! GET DOW-" I would've normally headbanged to all 3 minutes of the song, but it ended immediately after that part. Boo. I reached for my alarm clock, only to see it is 9:24 in the morning. "Dangit, I like waking up early on weekends", I thought to myself. I proceeded to pull my phone off of off my charger next to my bed. My phone was a hand-me-down IPhone 5s, with a Mophie charger case. I then got some clothes out for myself, a graphic t shirt with a frog riding a unicycle, and a pair of normal khaki shorts.

As I walked out of my room, I made unusually loud creaking noises on the wood, slightly concerning me about waking up my parents. I didn't have to worry though, they were already up. The steps on the stairs made almost no noise, due to the stairs having carpet on them. Before I reached the last step, my mom called out to me, "Good morning, Conner." Oh I forgot to explain who I am. I happen to be Conner Wright, son of Caroline and Charlie Wright. I'm a huge nerd, a bit of a cloudcuckoolander, and not to mention a YouTuber and a Brony. I tend to be really introverted, and rather creative.

I, of course, reply to her with a "good morning to you too." I immediately ran over to the kitchen and started to pour a bowl of Cracklin' Oat Bran, but my mom interrupted it by saying, "I can make French toast for you and Dad." I nodded my head in agreement and put away the cereal. And then suddenly, my dad came out the restroom to my surprise. He greeted me with a good ol' "hi son" when he saw me. That brief situation reminded me that I needed to use the restroom, since I tend to drink a lot of water before going to bed. After using the restroom, I ran over to the living room and sat on the sofa next to my Mom.

I reached for the tv remote and turned on the tv, only to see none other than MLP on. I decided not to turn the channel simply because it was my favorite episode, Luna Eclipsed. And for some reason, my Mom seemed a little curious and interested as I watched, as if she was watching an episode of How It's Made. After the episode was over, Mom immediately got going with the French toast, and I turned off the tv. I walked over to my computer and typed knowyourmeme.com into my search bar. To see an amazing announcement; Half Life 3 has been announced! I proceeded to scream at the top of my lungs (much to my parent's shock), since Half Life was one of my favorite games of all time!

After sh**posting Half Life 3 memes on my social media, I heard Mom say "Conner, breakfast is ready!" I ran straight to the table and tore into my powdered sugar covered French toast. After only about 5 minutes or so, my plate was almost empty, save a few grains of powdered sugar. I was so caught up in my French toast that I forgot to drink my glass of milk, so I gulped it down in 45 seconds. I once again ran to my computer and began to start up Half Life 2, in celebration of the announcement of a sequel. I got to the second chapter in the game when I heard a faint "swoosh" noise. No way it was coming from my computer.

It was coming from the laundry room all the way at the very end of the house. The sound was like nothing I heard before, so decided to investigate the situation. I "crouch-walked" (that thing you do in stealth games) around the area that it came from, and spying on my dad in the laundry room. There was a strange green light reflecting onto my dad's body (it was way, way brighter than the lights on the washer and dryer). I darted towards him, but he walked into the light. "DAAAAAD!!!", I yelled.

To my surprise, I saw a freaking green portal making a distinct humming sound. I was intimidated and confused by such an invention, so I pondered for a few seconds how it worked, and decided if I should head through the portal to find him or not. "Hell yeah!", I thought. Dad seemed pretty chill about it, so it must work. Before leaping into the green portal, I let out a big "LEEEEEROY nnnJENKINS!!!!!".  Oh man, oh man, I was not prepared. Not. At. All.
