It came down to Princesses Celestia, Luna... and me, Lighting Storm, vs King Sombra.
It had been a tough battle... real rotten. We managed to fight our way to the front doors to his throne room losing all the personal guards... all except me. But when we broke through the doors we found the cavernousl room was empty of any ponies...
Eerily quiet...
No...
One...
Or so it would seem.
For smoke arouse from the shadows to solidify into... well you know... KS himself!
I made the first move. Flinging the last of my best daggers Sombra dodged, but I knew he would do this. No mater which way he went at least one of my daggers would strike him.... which one did! The smirk on his face vanished when his armor failed and the blade went into his flesh. For these daggers where made from meteors... truly star stuff! Nothing stopped them. However, the dagger that was stuck in him only enraged the King. After pulling out the blade he turned owards me and raised his staff. I knew that this was would be the end of me, but I was stunned from behind with a rainbow blast... by the Princesses! Turned to stone was I! What the hey!
King Sombra's staff was no match against magical stone, merely bouncing off with a great thunder. The Princesses had saved me, but at what cost. I was stone! I could think. I could see what going on around me. But I could not move! I could not say anything! I just did stood there, in anguish, watching what now would become a royal battle!
Princess Celestia was first, swinging her mighty sword at the most vile one. But he was ready. A quick, concentrated blast sent the sword into a wall, as well as sending Princess Celestia sliding down the great hall. Banging up against the far wall Celestia was out cold.
Princess Luna could barely contain her rage. With a loud roar she physically swung her mightiest sword... clashing it with Sombra's staff. The combined forces basted both sword and staff out of each other's hooves. But that didn't stop either of them. They lunged at each other. Starting a fierce wrestling match. So fierce that parts of each other's armor were literally torn off. They rolled around the floor in a tight embrace but Luna, being a female, was not strong enough at this level of fighting. And she was losing... only her fierce anger keeping her going.
It was madding for me. As stone I was trapped… I could not move... but only stare at the spectacle.
Princess Luna was losing the battle. Huffing and puffing; sweating profusely she held him in a near death grip. But something happened. Sombra stop fighting. Is nostrils flared, breathing in Luna's scent. The fire in his eyes chilled and his muscles relaxed. Luna was still thrashing about. Trying to find an advantage, any advantage, in this final combat... for only one would survive. Or so she thought.
In a moment of surprise Luna discovered that Sombra was no longer fighting back. She had been fighting so furiously that she even held her eyes tightly shut. But after this realization she stopped, and while still trying to squeeze the life out of him, she open her eyes. The eyes that stared back her were nolonger full of pure anger and hatred, but... but were glossed over.
The two just stared at each other... bodies entangled.
After what seemed to be an eternity of seconds King Sombra nuzzled Princess Luna's
neck, rubbing all the way down to her shoulder... then slowly, very slowly, back up her neck ending at her right ear he whispered "I yield. I am all yours." He drew back and resumed his staring. Looking deeply into her eyes.
Luna froze in confusion. She believed that this was a fight to the death. Now it seemed that everything has been turned upside down. This is some kind of trick? Is this really Sombra? He didn't "feel" like Sombra at the moment. But, he certainly smelled like Sombra. Luna had never met any stallion that came close to Sombra's aroma. Aroma! I meant smell… That's it... I meant to think smell. With a shake of her head reality came crashing in like a moonbeam: we won! I won! Luna somehow reduced this evil and mighty king into a dazed stallion. What did I do? Luna thought. And while her mind was trying to comprehend everything an emotion came out of the recesses of her mind and whispered to her:
You have forced a stallion into submission!
