Rough Days

(Shadow's POV)

As we walked back down the long hallway, I just kept my head down and matched my past with Miss Happy Joy. I could tell their were a mixture of emotions in her right now, both joy and sadness. I guess the joy was about me getting accepted into this high school and the sadness from having to leave me here. I know I should say something either that I am going to enjoy my time here or that I wished that she could stay, but nothing felt important enough to say. After all I didn't like her, I only did what she said because of the debt I owe her. If it wasn't for that I would have left years ago. Suddenly, my vision was filled with something pink and what was worse was the loud, and I mean very loud and with such speed I barely understood the voice that came from some girl. It sounded something like this.

"Hey, are you new here cause I know all the people that live here, and I don't know you so that means you are new here." Then she gasps "That means I your new right." I simply nod my head and her smile growing so large I though it would reach from ear to ear. She then disappears in a cloud of pink and a trail of pink could be seen going down the hallway.

"Well that was interesting." I looked over to Happy Joy who was as equally puzzled by what just happened. "I thought you said this was a normal school not a place for lunatics. Granted it would make more sense for me if it was given they let me in." A sheepish grin was on her face. She could tell I wasn't amused by this pink person. I never much liked the color pink, but now I think I hate it much more.

"At least she is cute, right?" said Happy Joy. Honestly I didn't notice if that person was a girl, just the annoying voice and the pink, the seemingly endless pink. In response to her question I just gave her a cold flat stare that said,"I don't care." She weakly chuckled, "I am sure that is the only person here that is like that, because in all my years I have never seen someone that happy before."

I simply rolled my eyes and continued down the hall leaving Miss Happy Joy behind, I stop and look behind me, "Are you coming, Miss Happy Joy. I would like to get moved in today if you don't mind." She realized that she was still standing there and quickly catch back up to me. I needed here to get me to my room and to sign the papers for my stuff from the movers so I couldn't let her be lost in her own little world which she does a lot.

"Sorry, it is just that I was thinking that she may have a severe mental illness or is on some kind of medication that gives her this energetic personality." said Miss Happy Joy. I almost laughed at that statement, I did crack one of my rare grins. Something that surprised her, "You are grinning!!!" My grin was quickly replaced with my usual black expression a moment later. "Aah, why you stop?" she looked at me with a pouting face, but I could tell that was her way of getting more emotions out of me.

"You know it surprises me that you are actually an adult given your childish behavior." I said with a slight bit a joking in my voice. "But enough of that lets be on our way, I know you have paperwork to do back at your office." I could see her shrink when I mentioned paper work, she hated it. I knew that was the only way to bring her back into line and get this over with. She told me that if I joined this school my debt to her would be gone, so the quicker she is gone the quicker I can finally be free.

"You're no fun." said Miss Happy Joy. She walked ahead on me leading me down the seemingly endless hallways up a long flight of stairs till he came to a old wooden white door that had my "mark" as I called it, sounded better than cutie mark to me. The mark was a black Spot in a seemingly otherwise white door. "Here you are, I will go down and wait for the movers, I will handle all the paperwork. You can rest for a bit or maybe go look around the school and talk to some people."

I knew which one she wanted me to do, so I simply walked back down the stairs and looked down both sides of the hallway in front of me. One was leading back to the pink "creature" and the other seemed to curve towards the back and I could smell fresh air coming from that way. So I headed towards the fresh air, I didn't have to walk long to see I glass door and on the other side was huge garden area. I could see fully grown trees, a small river, roses and many other flowers and even some animals. The best part was the cool breeze that came through it. I walked in and found a tree off to the side and laid on the grass. The tree kept the sun off of me and cool grass was making me sleepy. Suddenly I hear a loud scream coming from the far back left side of the garden.

"SHUT UP!!!" said a highly annoying male voice or I thought it was male it sounded so girly it could have been. I got up grumpy that my rest was being taken away from me by this person. I walked across the garden and I heard the scream again, I sped up my pace nearly running. I was wondering why I would care so much about something that didn't involve me, I thought I would have learned from the last time. I was snapped out of my inner thoughts as I arrived and saw a boy, on top of a girl with pink hair. She was being forcible pinned down and her shirt was already ripped.

"Help me, please." said the voice. It was filled with such fear and panic, but I don't think she saw me there. She was just hoping something would make the bad person go away. I felt the anger rise in me, something I didn't mind expressing. I loved my rage and hatred, but this felt different. It was cold and directed solely on this "man". I took my massive hand right hand and pulled me off and pushed him off to the ground. He didn't even have time to say a word as a punched him in the head, he was out like a light. I turned to look at the girl and she seemed to have fainted from the experience.

"It is alright, I got you Miss." I whispered in her ear. I took off my button up and but it on her, leaving me in my black undershirt. I carefully picked her up and started walking back out of the garden and back to the principle's office. As I walked down the hallway, I could feel the girl has shaking a bit, possible she was dreaming of her recent encounter she had. I was carrying her bridle style so I made tighten my hold a bit more in hopes that it would stop. I knew better than most what she is going through and it is never pretty, hopefully the principles can do something to help her.

When I reached their door I had to kick the door three times, because I didn't want to risk dropping her. Principle/Princess Luna answered, "What do you need for we, I am me." she looked down from my face and saw the girl in my arms and had a shocked expression. "What happened to her?" her eyes were filled with rage seeing her student hurt.

"I will tell you all I know, but first my I put her down somewhere she can rest." It came out more as a command, but the principle didn't seem to mind. She showed me to a small conjoining room that had a small couch on it. Once I set the girl down, I walked out with the principle and closed the door. I told her all that I knew including a description of the assailant. I was surprised that she knew who it was and even more surprised that it was their nephew.

"Blueblood has gone too far this time, I will not allow that insolent little brat to see the light of the sun or the moon for a thousand years." said Principle Luna as she walked around the office. "First I shall call Celestia and get her here immediately and after that I will teach him a lesson that he will never forget." I could see I was no longer needed so I got up and left, I doubt the principle noticed. I heard her through the door say, "Black Shadow? When did he leave?" I was too tired to care about this anymore so I left and went back to my room. I opened my room to notice all the boxes where stacked to the side and a note was on one. It was I note from Miss Happy Joy.

"I know this place will be good for you, just try to relax and don't get into any fights that will get you in trouble."
