He wakes up in a patch of blood stained grass, with his hoof missing. Lost, surrounded by tall barely visible trees. He attempts to stand up, but to no avail. He's in too much pain, he insteads crawl on the green blades within the darkness, as he crawls to a random direction.
The rain clouds above him start to form a booming storm as rain begins to fall on his withered body. He spots a unrecognizable shadow with glowing yellow eyes, it spots him. He quivers back in fear as the shadow charges at him, he gains enough strength to stand up and run the other direction. The shadow growls loudly as it gives chace, he glanced behind him seeing the shadow gaining closer and closer.
He trips over a sharpened tree branch as the thing gets ready to attack him. He picks up the tree branch and points it at the shadow, the shadow pounces on him. But the sharpened tree branch went through the shadows stomach. Blood is splattered on him as the shadow falls back with the stick still stabbed within its stomach.
He cowers away from the body as more blood sprays out onto him. He runs back to where he started, unsure of what the hell to do. He wandered off to a different direction, and is lead up to a narrow tunnel of trees. He walked through, stepping on leafs and branches making a cracking sound that echoed through the whole forest.
The clouds still boom with lightning as he continues to walk within the path, then he heard a noise... a whisper behind the bushes. "It was you, you did this to her" the whisper said as it stalks him. He doesn't know what to do, except to panic. He ran off, but where ever he went the whisper followed, yelling at him his every sin.
"You're the one who took the knife"
"You're the one who looked her in the eye as you stabbed away"
"You didn't want anypony else to know about your crimes, so you burried her body behind a church without witness"
"Except for me"
He just kept running, denying everything the whisper said. The pathway stopped apon a cliff as another shadow appeared behind him. The shadow walked twords him, telling him to jump off. He didn't have a weapon to stab the shadow, nor did he have the strength to throw it off the cliff. It was hopeless...
The slender like shadow charges at him. He accepted his fate as the shadow bucked him off the cliff. He tumbles down as his bones break out of his skin. The rocks break apart his fur and bones as a trail of blood covers the ground.
He finally landed at the bottom of the cliff, extremely injured and wounded. He isn't able to move a muscle, he closes his eyes as he feels his heart beat slow down. The grass and the breeze brushes against his broken body as his blood drizzled down to the ground. The crunching of leaves can be heard as he slowly loses consensus.
"Hrmpf, another one..."
A unknown voice said as he losses his consensus.
He's dragged deeper within the forest.
His eyes periodically open and close as he's being dragged deeper and deeper and deeper. When he did, he saw a blueish pony with a purple, blood covered, magicians robe. His eyes eventually opened fully, but his vision was somewhat blury. The blueish pony made it to what looks like a cabin and opened the wooden door. He lost consensus again as she dragged his body into the cabin.
He awakens on a bed with bandages wrapped around his forehead, arms, waist, and legs. The blueish pony walked in the bedroom with a warming but yet, unsettling smile. "Sleep well?" She said to him, he nodded but didn't talk. "Good, these forest are dangerous here, even before this outbreak happened...." she said with both relief and worryment.
He didn't know what she ment, as he hasn't come across somepony with this outbreak. He asked her what she ment, "recently, a toxin was filled in the air and it fucked up ponies, really badly. They've become monsters, trying to attack and harm them" she explained "What makes it worse is that, some are real and some are in our heads. A sign that you're becoming one of them is if you see shadows attempting to attack you"
He gulps as he has a face of shock and fear, as two shadows had already attempted to kill him.
"But I'm glad you're alright..." she said as she patted his shoulder. He asked who she was, "my name? Oh, I'm the Great and Powerful trixie!
He attempted to get out of the bed, but to no avail as his body is still extremely withered. He winces at the pain and plops back down onto the bed. "Don't worry, I'm going to heal you in a bit, just stay here for a while...." she said with a friendly but creepy voice. He nodded as blood starts to leak out the bandages.
A bang can be heard from downstairs, "ok, stay here I'll be right back" she exited the room to check the noise leaving him in the bed. As she left the room, another shadow appeared out of the corner of his eye. The shadow climbs on top of him, crushing down on his already broken bones. "You shouldn't trust her" it whispered "she's one of them, you will die if you stay here" it continued as it got up closer to his face. It places a knife in his hoof, "use this... it'll help" the shadow disappears as he hides the knife under his blanket.
Trixie came back in twords the room, "ok, you ready to be healed?" She said as she has a huge, terrifying smile on her face as she steps closer to him. Her aura turned green along with her eyes as she's about to cast the spell.
The shadow appears behind him, in a physical form where trixie can't see it, and controls him. The shadow forces him to slash at trixie, trixie hisses from the pain and reveals herself as a changeling. "YOU LITTLE BITCH!" she yelled as she charged at him.
He stabbed her in the stomach region as she attempts to attack him. He looks at her in her eyes as he slits the knife from her stomach to her chest. He dropped her mutilated corpse as her intestine plops out of her stomach.
He stares at the body as a single tear drop ran down his face.
He kept on staring at the body and looked back over at his knife. "Here, let me fix you up for you...." the shadow whispered in his ear as he put his claws with in his back. His eyes glow white as he sees the claw go right through his stomach, oddly enough with no blood.
He felt his bones reconnect and back within his body, he felt his fur and skin regenerate, he felt his organs go back in their proper place, he felt, alive.
The shadow pulled his claw back as he stood up. "Now, do something about that body. Before...they find it first" the shadow whispered to him as it dissappears before his eyes. He nods as his eyes stop glowing, he threw the body onto his shoulder, holding it tight. He trotted out of the cabin as the body drizzles blood onto his back and it's intestine plopping out of it.
He came back to where he first started, he plopped down the body and pulled it by its legs. He dragged it into a random direction. Another narrow tunnel of trees, darken by the night. He dragged the body through there, at the end of the tunnel was a church, in the middle of nowhere. He thought that'll be the best place to hide and burry the body. He dragged the body behind a church, there was a shovle conveniently against the wall.
He grabbed the shovle and digged a deep, wide, hole. The rain above him grew more stronger, soaking him and the body. Once he was done digging the hole, he placed the body within it and covers it up.
When the whole was completely covered up, he heard a scream within the church. He ran to the other side of it and found the front door wide open.
He could probably find the answers he's looking for, inside the church.
He entered through the broken down front doors, and looked around the lobby area. It's decaying and rotting as blood has been splattered on the walls. The carcasses of mutilated ponies spread apon the floor. Each dead body with their skeleton missing and their intestine plopping out. He entered the corpse floored building, making sure not to step on any of the dead bodies.
He went towards the counter and looked behind it. Nothing but a typewriter on top of the desk and another corpse behind it. He backed away from the corpse as he heard the screaming again, he yelled out a hello, to see where the screaming came from. The screaming was constant, through the air, he followed the sound waves of the screaming to find out where the hell it's coming from.
The screaming leads him up stairs to a withered door. Has soon as he stepped in front of it the screaming stopped.
He opened the door and on the other side was a hall of mirrors.
He entered the room of the mirrors, he walked the narrow path. He stopped in his tracks when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye within the mirror. He faced the mirror to see the what he looks like, he's a white pony, with black hair and a broken off horn. Behind him in the reflection was the shadow that controlled him.
"You do realize this is pointless, right? You'll never find what you're looking for" it whispered "little do you know I am more in control of your body than you are. So I can make you turn around" "But I'd like to play a little bit more with my puppet" the shadow laughed maniacally as it dissappears.
The mirrors begin to shader as a high pitched noise pierced his ears. He began to run to the other side of the hallway as the mirrors shatter apon him. He glanced behind him to see a tall spider like shadow chasing after him. The hall gets more decayed as the pitch gets higher. He ran faster and faster and faster till he reached the end of the hallway.
He made it to the door at the end of the hallway, however it is locked. He sees the spider like shadow getting closer and closer. He turned around and bucked the door. He prays as his hind leg kicks at the door. The door eventually gives in and he ran into the room.
He slammed the door shut as the spider like shadow disappears. He pants heavily as he looks around the room, in the middle of the room is a table. On top of the table is a raccoons mask of sorts, right next to a blood covered white horn. He stares at the severed horn and mask as the shadow appears behind him again.
"Now do you remember who you are, invisi?"
It whispered in his ear.
"You came to this forest to escape the outbreak, but from the looks of things, it already has gotten ya. You're just not being controlled by one of us yet...."
It wraps it's claws around ivisi's arm as it inters through his back.
"And now it is time"
The shadow begins to mess with his mind as it takes control over his limbs. Eventually the shadow fully controls his body.
He maniacally laughs as he grabs the mask and severed horn off the table. Ivisi puts on his mask and clinched on to the severed horn.
He exits church, and found his way out of the forest, as the shadow forever stays control with in his body.
He has no control anymore.
